The discussion about bottom lines and profit was a great insight to anybody not running a business. I get questioned all the time about prices and wanting jobs cheaper. People just don’t understand running anything costs an arm a leg these days.

The motor trade up our end is seeing a drop in jobs of around 35-40% currently. You know it’s quiet when Euro Car Parts deliver within the promised hour instead of 3 hours later. School holiday are always quiet as well but keep going things will pick up

Four cars in the first 11 days of the month. I would certainly be feeling nervous when I think of the wage bill you need to cover and all the other expenses. Car sales is not one of the easiest businesses to be in.

I have 22 cars in stock, cheapest one being 18k. I’ve not sold anything since the start of the month, in the same breath the last dozen or so cars I’ve sold have all been sold on finance, nobody seems to have money sat in the bank anymore.

I had an SLK , i loved the car but the door latches were a bloody nightmare constantly failing and locking you into the car . How they ever got past safety testing god only knows.

too fucking expensive for crap cars right now. cars that were being sent in for scrapping are now selling for £1000+ good for mechanics I guess. Instead of people scrapping their cars for failing MOTs, they are spending the money to keep them on the road.
Have to agree, just an old mechanic who bought a 1.6 diesel for £100...eight years ago. It's got 230000 miles on clock and drives great. Been looking for something new but prices are insane 😢... But never give up... Got my eye on a new one for the right price 😂
