Yeah, well, they do it because it works and people fall for it, people with not enough stuff to spend money on. As a public company they have to maximize shareholders profits and as long as it’s legal, it’s hard to fault Porsche.

I love that youtube allows me to go from a POV video of a 12 year old kid in a war-torn country showing us their daily life, to a video of a wealthy guy complaining about how unfair life is because a luxury car brand won't allow anyone with money to buy a limited edition car from them.

I don't understand how you can still want to drive a Porsche knowing that you have lost your dignity by trying to buy it. @@Chorikun Not exactly, might be under the VW group, but so is VW, Audi, Lambo, Porsche, and so was Bugatti till Rimac bought it. I doubt you can say you'd be treated the same at VW as Bugatti.
If he would have the same business history with Porsche (buying 10+ of their high end models over time) that he has with Lambo he would have the GT3 at list. Don't you realise this? It's the same exact thing. He is getting treated so well at Lambo because of the millions he has thrown at them. Plus of course the free good yt PR. But that also shows how limited the Porsche is that even a big youtuber can't get in there and get one at will. In the end I agree with some other commenters that I play the tiny sad violin that a superrich guy can't get his toy. That's the entire story of the video. Maybe he is just hamming it up for content but there are other creators who seem much more likeable.
Sounds like a good reason to not be rich. Just wait a couple of years and buy an older model. Btw your man at Better Performance is absolutely lovely. Respect.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is more than just a car-it’s a testament to engineering brilliance, precision, and a long-standing tradition of pushing the boundaries of performance. However, it’s important to understand that this car is not meant for everyone. My view as a customer: the GT3 RS has always been a symbol of Porsche’s dedication to its most loyal enthusiasts. These are customers who have consistently supported the brand, understood its philosophy, and cherished its heritage. It’s only fair that Porsche prioritizes those who have demonstrated their commitment over time.Opening up the opportunity to buy such a limited, iconic car to anyone could dilute the sense of exclusivity and appreciation that this vehicle deserves. It’s not just about having the means to purchase. This isn’t to say others won’t have their chance to own a Porsche or even something extraordinary in the future. But the GT3 RS is a car that deserves to be in the hands of those who have already invested deeply in the Porsche story. At its core, this is about fairness. Loyalty deserves recognition, and the GT3 RS serves as a reward for those who have been with Porsche through thick and thin.
All luxury stores and dealers do this, its common, should be illegal, essentially it's blackmailing. Its insane to me that no law has been passed to make this illegal.
Very interesting and deiighted for the result, well done for playing fair. Interesting as you celebrated with your lovely Mrs and daughter, yuo said - 'woo hoo, Im getting the GT£RS', however in the background your Mrs was saying - Woo hoo - Mammy is getting a G wagon' 😀
As an artist I always believe your must always find your heart song that makes you feel like a kid. This to me is a great story not about a rich guy or poor guys can’t relate. Yeah Mark will sell it, I would too, why must you hold onto something forever when there is an entire platter of goodies still a the buffet table to sample. I believe in having eclectic taste, simply put Mark went from Lamborghini to Porsche which not as bad as jumping to Ferrari but all the supercars are rivals. And who said the rich guy didn't just work harder than you. I got a GT2 when they first came out, and I own a 2022 Ford GT40. The reason? I work 50-hour work weeks while you're filling your fat gut with Dunkin Donuts. You may have such problems if you worked hard at a stable job.
omg this is the saddest thing i have ever seen! I am so glad you didn't let them bully you and you got another rare supercar! The world is better because of this story and video
Watching this video and currently being poor, I don’t think I’d ever be part of the Porsche or Ferrari scam even if I had the money someday. They truly laugh in your face and treat you like a fool it’s honestly unbelievable.
An auction among their most loyal and wealthy customers might seem gauche. Instead, encouraging these customers to compete by purchasing other products creates the illusion of a more honest proposition. This approach allows customers to delude themselves into believing they have a special relationship with the brand, rather than merely participating in a straightforward auction. Once you recognize this dynamic for what it is, it becomes much easier to understand.
I live in Ireland, one of the richest countries on the planet. On paper. I’ve never seen one, and never will. So don’t feel to bad or hold any inferior complex about yourself.

The damage Porsche does to itself is crazy, can’t go on forever. I personally would not walk into one of their showrooms, life’s too short to pander to these people.
Ferrari does the same thing!
Pander??
These are limited cars why shouldn’t they only go to the most loyal customers?
@@Kissmyapex Its a scam, itll be closed by the british govenment very shortly. We dont stand for scams here
Yeah, well, they do it because it works and people fall for it, people with not enough stuff to spend money on. As a public company they have to maximize shareholders profits and as long as it’s legal, it’s hard to fault Porsche.
nah.. they have enough rich simps to be able to do this

How do u have values when ur making videos to simply show one message but at the same time hes doing exactly what the dealerships are doing. Buying a car to flip for more money
No he isn't
Wow! What a story. I am happy you got the car you wanted, and you didn't step on the necks of the people who have played the Porsche allocation game in order to get it. Respect. Now, get the ladies a G-Wagon.
I respect the route you took thank you. That was by far the best most heartfelt and difficult decision to not jump the list. Enjoy that GT3 RS. Looking forward to the new content.💯💯💯
I can feel your emotion and happiness!! Congratulations!
There is nocar that they build that would make me sell my soul to obtain it. No one should get so caught up in materialistic items that they would just give their money away. No Porsche no Ferrari not even a hypercar.

Fantastic Story! Watched every second. Had no clue how difficult it is to get a GT3RS. Like me trying to get the new Mustang GTD. Have allocation but now to jump thru the hoops and come up with the $$
Mat Watson certainly didn't buy 10 porsche's to get a new gt3 rs.
That's exactly what I thought.....what he does however, is drive porche's regularly, and positively review and sing their praises to millions of people,
So makes very good business sense i guess, not that porche really need that given the fact they won't allow the majority of rich folk to buy some of their cars despite having the cash!😂😂😂
Exactly, but he sell cars for them in other ways.
Certainly having the 911 turbo s on regularly didn't hurt.
He's Mat, they will sell him one even if he didnt buy 10
What the fuck is this? I’m actually glad I’m not rich.
I respect how honest you are with your car purchases. Very few people would be open to talk about the game they're playing, the dealers and manufacturers. You make content about it and probably take a lot of the "damage" of doing so. Man of principle.

My thoughts exactly. I'd play my tiny violin, but I haven't been selected to purchase one yet.
I don't know how the system is flawed. They sell them to thier best customers.
Exactly. The system seems flawed to only those who aren't able to get a slot like Jay Leno being vocal about Ferrari and praising Ford for the same system.
I love that youtube allows me to go from a POV video of a 12 year old kid in a war-torn country showing us their daily life, to a video of a wealthy guy complaining about how unfair life is because a luxury car brand won't allow anyone with money to buy a limited edition car from them.
I loved watching you on DDE but could not stand them so this is great you have a channel now. All the best to your new adventure.
Wow I’m so lucky. I went to my dealership just down the road from me. I brought the car with my debit card. Got special paint cover. Floor mats and full tank of petrol. I can sell the car when ever I want. And go back and get another one.

I don't understand how you can still want to drive a Porsche knowing that you have lost your dignity by trying to buy it.
Knowing that you own an object only because you have accepted blackmail and humiliation should take away any enthusiasm for that object.
Porsche and anyone who uses these sales methods does not deserve respect.
I have no idea how the YT algorithm brought this video to my feat but I soooo glad I'm one the few persons on earth that would choose a million times the Skyline R34 V-Spec II MPIII over any Lamborghini, Porsche or Ferrari, I mean they are beautiful cars but that's my preference.
The sad background music mixed with the fact that this man couldn't get his allocation was heartbreaking. Definitely a crisis.
Why would making several hundred grand on flipping a new car be tax free profit?
exactly the question i wanr answering
because it was a personal purchase not intended to make money
Because there is no capital gains tax payable on privately owned cars in England.
You could rename the series: How to turn your customer into an unpaid dealer who will take a loss.

@@ELXABER Yes exactly dweeb. They are all owned 100% by VAG (VW Audi Group). do your research.

Matt will have a nice GT3 RS available for sale soon. Mint condition
Yes, laws protecting the helpless millionaires and billionaires sure are needed ASAP!
what 911 can you get if your not on th LIST
I just love this, every second of it... imagine the rich people being used and fooled. Love it.
I'm happy for you, enjoy your new baby. Respect to the Lamborghini dealership for making it easy for you.

I lived both sides and like to believe this story is about inspiring one to not give up on their dreams or motivation to continue attempting to achieve their goal. In my case it was jumping from BMW to Mercedes and then going fuck it Toyota only works rural. So I say Mark, I am subscribing because I look forward to seeing what the next impossible thing you make possible in the Supercar world! Stick it to the franchises, except the UK Lamborghini dealership, if I return as an Architect in London, I will be sure to drop in and check their stock for my 1st purchase, that why in New Zealand I am Toyota, it is all about relationships until today. I need to find a new brand because I am not happy with service parts extortion, something I am sure you know about and I would love to see on your channel. All the best! I will be watching! Not subscribed, with the bell reminder! 😊

This really is not controversial, and also... This is not some sort of scam. Nobody is FORCED into buying cars they dont want.
