Going to start work on my 1982 Cadillac Sedan Deville that was repainted in 2016 to be a Baby Blue Beauty!!!! It's a lighter shade of blue than Ford's Sky Blue color or whatever they call that color IDK, I had gotten the Car in 2019 drove it for a few months then had a Traumatic Brain Injury that put me into a Coma for a few months and the Hospital for a total of 8 months Between October 3rd 2019 And June 16th 2019, It really sucks because that came just about 3 months after I had gotten a FULL motor rebuild Kit From a company Called Northern Auto Parts, And while the 4.1L V8 isn't even that amazing It SURE IS smooth!!!!!! Soooooo.... HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!! As soon as I am out of a wheelchair (Disabled Not Handicapped) I'll have SOMETHING to look forward to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I respect that Alex. Still love the show regardless. Makes me wanna get out there and build my 2000 Lincoln Navigator 4wd some more. Already put over $2,000 into it. You are a true inspiration to everyone & I for one, want to thank you for all your videos & your time.

I've been watching this channel for a few years and its become one of my favorites. I also really enjoy the weekend TV car show vibes for the starts of the episodes!!
your videos make me feel like im right there with you ever since i came across your channel i've not been able to stop watching thank you for what you do and keep up the amazing videos
I think that blow-off valve (actually its divert valve) needs boost pressure on that small vacuum line. When it's on car boost from intake manifold helps spring to seal valve.
Yeep you are 100% percent correct learned the hard way 15 years ago not 17 years old not a lot of money I tested the it same way thought it was bad saved up got a new and new one did same thjng
Thank you Alex for always bringing excellent content. I was so happy to stumble onto your channel about 2 years ago and have always looked forward to your videos each week. As for projects, I just “finished” my 98 Honda Shadow 1100 and already jumped into a 1977 Pontiac Grand Safari wagon with a Oldsmobile 403ci V8!
Thanks for another awesome episode Alex! I watch these videos with my dad when I visit him, he’s battling cancer, and I honestly can say it is medicine for him (and I) being able to enjoy each others company and not dwell on the negatives of his disease. I hope him and I can make it out to the meet up next month! I have a 15 passenger van myself - an 04 v10 ford e350, just got it as a family camper build, but boosting it seems like a better option than making it camping/off-road worthy 😂. I live in AZ, but my dad’s in the suburbs of Chicago. So maybe I’ll visit again next month and bring my van to IL and my dad to the meet up …Ford vs Chevy passenger van burnouts??
Once the DSM bug bites......it never really leaves. Enjoy it, they really are awesome cars, love your taste in cars really. For the face lift front bumper you'll need the headlights as well as they change 2ga to 2gb eclipse and talons. Rockauto is cheap place to get them actually.

This episode is awesome. My son and I are outside droping a JDM replacement engine into my 02' WRX. Remember a guy in a red Eclipse GSX smoking me everytime I saw him when I first got my WRX. Always loved Eclipses. To bad you don't see them to often. Thanks for saving this one Alex.

ps grabbing some merch from a couple cool channels in a couple weeks and def hoping you got that shirt you showed lol let me know if available in a larger still please
Watching this reminds me of working on my 91 Talon TSI. I loved that car. But a cheap upgrade you can do is put the big 16g turbo from an older evo (3 or 4 I believe) but that will give you more boost and it looks badass! Be careful pushing that stock turbo at 18-20 lbs of boost, you might blow that turbo even being the first gen one.
Also, this is the first time I've looked at comments since before Peter was gone. It's just not something I typically do because I watch on my TV. I assumed he was on vacation or found another job or something until I read your comment. I just want to remind you of all the good you have done for people with your giveaways, your tutoring, and just kindness in general. Don't let them get to you Alex. You're a good man.
I love this channel! Reminds me of those hot rod shows I watched as kid on Saturday Mornings. I came for your E55 content but i love how you branched out over the years.
IMO, keep the tubing silver. Be a little different. Two stage the white with a midcoat with gold or silver flakes and make the engine compartment shine.
I love this series Alex! I had a mostly stock 1GB Talon that ran a 13.1@104mph at 18 psi on race fuel (stock fueling) with the factory 14b. Great car until it went lean and destroyed the motor....then I sold it like a fool. Enjoy the DSM journey and us old DSM owners are happy to tag along for some memories.
Love this channel so much. I have been a long-time follower and have loved seeing this channel grow and change. I think Alex needs to get another helper/ assistant. I know things didn't work out with Peter, but that chemistry was golden!
Wow, great video! I am so glad I found your channel. Your editing, commentary, videography, presentation, humor, and demeanor are top notch! Always a great time! Keep up the great work.
BAM! Been waiting for this one. As someone who had an Eagle Talon with the same engine and chassis, I’m curious how team LSC is gonna try and make this reliable. When these things run, they are screaming turbocharged lightening on a rail.
The only car that I've wanted as much as a Trans Am WS6 was an Eclipse GSX. I had a buddy when I was in the Navy that had a red one. My dream car of course being the GNX.
Max does such a great job editing and making the most of Alex’s humor. The cuts are perfectly timed. Even though we miss Peter (and would love to know more about what happened there), you guys really are firing on all cylinders right now.
Keep waiting I don’t think Alex is going to say anything. What we should do is on every video ask for Peter like if all of us keep bugging him he’ll explain a little bit. Maybe Peter was on drugs and stole money or part to buy drugs. 🤷🏽♂️ just a thought maybe that’s why Alex may not want him around or with the company.

So the first car I ever owned when I was 18 was a '97 Eclipse RS. Then I learned about turbos, and a few months later, I owned a '97 GSX! The problem back then is that I didn't have the money to do the upgrades I wanted, but I still loved the car! After a couple years, crap happened, the car was traded in, and I was itching to get another one for the next 18 years! I finally bought another '97 GSX in 2018, and I plan to not only make it nasty fast, but also look almost brand new stock. I have dropped roughly 30K in upgrades to the motor, drivetrain, suspension, ect. I also decided to go with a 2.3L stroker setup, a stand alone ECU, and even nitrous just for a little extra fun! Unfortunately, when I got to the point where I only needed a few grand more in parts, I ran out of money. It has now been sitting in 100+ pieces in my garage for the last couple of years :( I am hoping to be able to start putting everything back together in the next 6 months or so! I do have a question about this video though! I went with an air to water intercooler setup. That plus the fact that it is going to basically be a daily driver when its done, I am wondering if you still have the stock front bumper assembly that you removed in this video? I need to make 100% sure that it will fit in the 2GB front bumper.....I'm pretty sure it will.....but if it does, are you willing to part with the front bumper assembly?
Glad your spirit is still up after what you’ve been through Alex. No one deserves to be taken advantage of especially when your family is pulled into a mess that’s completely deceiving. Stay strong and keep moving forward. We all have your back and love you content. Great video as always.

Love the eclipse I had a few of them when I was younger. That most built one I did had 475hp 525 ftlb at the wheels. Current project is a 1994 viper rt10 that I did a full rebuild and paint. Love the projects as I grew p in the late 80's early 90's these were the cars I had or wanted! Keep it up!
I've had two mostly stock 2nd gen GSXs. They are really great cars when they're working. Even stock they do have some reliability issues. The suspension is a really nice combination of good handling with a pretty nice ride. I did higher rate sway bars and I really liked the car in canyons.
1. Hello from a fellow DSM'er. I've had 7 over the years and currently have been modifying my current 90 TSi AWD since 2012. 2. Whatever you decide on the paint, please keep it a factory color. My suggestion is to paint it one of the rare factory colors. My personal favorite is Oslo Green pearl. Only available in 95 or 96 and I've only ever seen 2 of them in person. 3. ECMlink is a fantastic solution for 95% of the dsms out there. Under 700hp, I wouldn't run anything else. 4. I'd love it if you brought this car to the 30th annual DSM/Evo shootout in Norwalk Ohio in mid September. 3 full days of the quickest and fastest dsms on the planet. Most fun you can have with your pants on if you're into the 4G63.
That's what I love about this channel. Variety. Mercedes one day, muscle the next and a JDM another. And I am just trying to maintain my 03 c5 Corvette. Bought her 2 years ago, she was in rough shape. Looking so much better now. But needs more love.
It's great to see and hear your enthusiasm about the DSM! They truly are the most fun and I've owned 6 (2 currently). Can't wait to see more. My GST is a 99 with modest bolt-ons and a Thermal R&D exhaust. Next project will be swapping out the old worn motor mounts with some fresh Torque Solutions solid mounts.

Let's flashback to the seventies. Alex, my man, your Eclipse GSX is out of site and that blow-off valve sounds stellar. Desert cars are the bomb, and it was cool not to find anything freaky deaky under the bumper. You will be stoked when you're chillin' at the pad thinking about how your GSX and GN book it at the track.
Is it just me, or has it been weird without Peter in the past few videos? Miss seeing him around and joking with Alex. Their friendship is so wholesome
@@joyroc885 no. He did a lot of shady 💩. And still doing shady 💩. Even sending his "buddies" to come on the channel and push a Peter narrative. It's really sad.
Dude you guys would be the perfect people to experiment with an older Infiniti. They have Skyline engines even in the wagon/hatch/crossovers. Turbo and tuned you could have a crazy 500hp crossover/wagon lol. And they are super comfortable luxary vehicles (now they have Nissans awful CVT, especially post 2019, but they kept automatics, some auto-manuals, in most things for quite a while. And some look really unique, even sleeper-y)
These are my favorite things to watch during my morning weekend workouts or just while I’m playing Xbox I have this playing on my table in front of me at the same time. the eclipse being on is amazing, it’s my favorite car of all time.

24:37 Sick; Swell; Tubular; and of course COOL! Bodacious was also a term we used quite a bit. Mostly Cool. Everything was Cool in the 80's. I can't remember when Rad and Awesome started. That's the problem with growing old. Edit: Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982 was where "Awesome" became popular. Other terms are dude; bummed; stoked; shred; balls out; and this rules. 41:12 The term B-roll originates from the early days of film, when editors inserted supplemental footage, or B-roll, into the main footage, or A-roll, to hide visible lines where two pieces of film were joined. In modern film and video production, B-roll describes all of the footage that isn’t the main action. Some refer to it as Background or Behind footage. It is usually location shots, and never has the actors in it.
I am V8 swapping my 97 Dakota. The V6 that was in it was getting old and tired with over 270k miles. I enjoy watching your videos and all the things you do to the vehicles you aqure.
I had a GSX it was a fun car. I added H&R springs and Koni adjustables. Handled like a go kart. The transmission however is made of glass. It can not take any abuse especially with a good clutch.
This video brings me back, I had a 1997 Eclipse GST that I would wrench on. T3/T4 turbo, FMIC, turbo-back exhaust, whole shebang. Really easy / fun cars to modify. If you didn’t want to go black, those aluminum valve covers polish up really nicely if you put some elbow grease into them.

Aaaggghhh I felt every one of those injuries. Slicing my fingers, banging my hands, Burning my arms. Each and every one. It’s like the car is making us earn that power.
I'm not sure I have seen you mid repair with a untorn glove. But thats how you know you're actually doing the work! Love your vids, keep up the great work sir 👍👍👏
Watching you work on your 'clipse reminds me of an encounter with a black one several days ago. Here in the Philippines, Eclipses are rare, especially Gen 1 units like yours. On that day (a Tuesday) I saw a black one in front of a building. Now everyone and their car-lovin' uncle knows that if you see an Eclipse, its modded to the max. Not this one; that Eclipse was STOCK, right down to the rims! The owner was there, and I asked him about his car, specifically if he put aftermarket parts on it. He said on the mechanical side, nope, its all stock. When asked, he said its fine for him as it is, especially for its role as a stylish weekend cruiser with the waifu. All he did is rustproofing work on the underside and ceramic coating topside. On the interior, well, he did replaced the audio setup with an all-Sony system, plus a kit to convert the cig lighter into a 12-volt charging port. And that's it - one nice 99% stock Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX.
Luv these cars!!! I'm working on a 81 Bronco with a 351m. I swapped in a 10.5 sterling rear and a 44Hd ttb in the front. I had a 93 TSI AWD turbo and back in the day it was rarely beaten. Add pretty much any turbo upgrade and these cars make serious hp. I knew a guy who made 900hp from one, yes, 900.

My project car is a 1996 Thunderbird. Don't know why, but I've always loved the birds. 100% stock at the moment with 30k miles. Runs and drives mint. Currently designing a custom audio system for it using Audiofrog Speakers and some Gately Audio subwoofer equipment. I would like to keep this a decent street ride, but I haven't figured out whether I want to build up the 4.6L and pair it with a supercharger, or go full Coyote swap.
Been so looking forward to this build! The DSM is so clean! She’s gonna be a beast Alex!! I would with gray don’t think there’s many around with that color! Alex love the smile and laugh!
I remember playing Need For Speed and Eclipse GSX was the first car I bought in the game. My first IRL car was a 1992 Mitsubishi Galant with the 8 Valve ECi engine. Full 117 horses. When you got those NA ponies running it was good at 100 mph.

You used the wrong intercooler kit. Turbo lag is a sob on a 4 cyl. You need a short route kit where the intercooler outlet to the TB is on the back, not the sides. It goes right between the condenser/radiator and the core support, might have to Sawzall a little bit but worth it for short route piping.

I respect that Alex. Still love the show regardless. Makes me wanna get out there and build my 2000 Lincoln Navigator 4wd some more. Already put over $2,000 into it. You are a true inspiration to everyone & I for one, want to thank you for all your videos & your time.
Got your back Alex 👍
Ole Peter got greedy….shame on him.
Hey Alex, whatever the reason still love your channel. Thank you for creating great content!!
Alex I know you are trying to do the classy thing and stay on the moral high ground but people won’t stop asking until you tell the whole story. You should tell the story and put the whole thing to rest.
I've been watching this channel for a few years and its become one of my favorites. I also really enjoy the weekend TV car show vibes for the starts of the episodes!!
Loving the fact you're keeping this build clean and not going wild with every neon colored part you can find. Can't wait to see what's next.
I was actually hoping he would go with an insanely bright color
Yep...bright and loud
your videos make me feel like im right there with you ever since i came across your channel i've not been able to stop watching thank you for what you do and keep up the amazing videos
I think that blow-off valve (actually its divert valve) needs boost pressure on that small vacuum line. When it's on car boost from intake manifold helps spring to seal valve.
Yep. Definitely not testing it correctly.
On all the vw 1.8ts the diverter definitely goes on the other way , boost pressure will push up the valve and leak everytime.
Yeep you are 100% percent correct learned the hard way 15 years ago not 17 years old not a lot of money I tested the it same way thought it was bad saved up got a new and new one did same thjng
1g bov are metal and can hold a few more pounds of boost. Mitsu cheaped out and used plastic bov on 2gs
You just get things done the right way! The best channel ever! Keep going strong!
Great way to start our Saturday morning is watching your video’s keep up the good work
I agree!
Alex, I love and look forward every week to your show. It’s great with or with out a side kick. Just keep doing what your doing.
Alex your excitement for these mods and and for what you’re doing really comes across! Keep up the good work! 🎉👏👏👏
i wish i had this guys talent. my friend went to wyotech like alex and he is a hack. you either got it or you dont. i dont think anyone can learn to be as good as him
This episode is awesome. My son and I are outside droping a JDM replacement engine into my 02' WRX. Remember a guy in a red Eclipse GSX smoking me everytime I saw him when I first got my WRX. Always loved Eclipses. To bad you don't see them to often. Thanks for saving this one Alex.
lol I found this channel tonight having some drinks doing business report for my college class and realized I subscribed prob a long time ago lol I love that you talk as much as me hahahaha!! you can relate and agree that I bet just like I tell ppl you would too that you think you got it bad hearing me? I hear myself 24/7 in my head hahahaha love the content gonna catch up all along thanks dude!
ps grabbing some merch from a couple cool channels in a couple weeks and def hoping you got that shirt you showed lol let me know if available in a larger still please
I have been a viewer for a long time now and will continue to be as long as you keep on being you. Remember, people love to see you fail, they love to beat you while you're down. Don't let them get to you Alex. You're a good man.
Love these cars. Seeing one with 250K miles and zero rust is pretty awesome. Looking forward to this build.
Back in the late 90s my buddy ran 12.9 on a ported 14b.
Love this channel so much. I have been a long-time follower and have loved seeing this channel grow and change. I think Alex needs to get another helper/ assistant. I know things didn't work out with Peter, but that chemistry was golden!
What even happened with Peter??
My current project is a 1964 international scout it’s in great shape, it’s been sitting since ‘82
I want a 73-76 so bad. But good luck finding one that is affordable and without rust.
Wow, great video! I am so glad I found your channel. Your editing, commentary, videography, presentation, humor, and demeanor are top notch! Always a great time! Keep up the great work.
loving the selection of cars youre bringing to and working on with the channel. keeps me motivated to finish my 91 civic wagon build
BAM! Been waiting for this one. As someone who had an Eagle Talon with the same engine and chassis, I’m curious how team LSC is gonna try and make this reliable. When these things run, they are screaming turbocharged lightening on a rail.
I’m also a kid of the 80’s & 90’s and have always said ‘right on!’ I look forward to watching your videos every Sat. night. Thanks Alex!
The only car that I've wanted as much as a Trans Am WS6 was an Eclipse GSX. I had a buddy when I was in the Navy that had a red one. My dream car of course being the GNX.
Hahaha man I will never get over the intros you guys have been killing it with those and it is awesome to get a run down on the projects/plans.
My suggestion is that you can use BBS LM for your wheels, it would look pretty nice in my opinion 👀
@@Idkmaybeoneday I’d be careful tossing out wild speculation like that. There’s no evidence of anything Ike that, so there’s no reason to even put it out there.

This channel is keeping me awake at midnight just to watch what a fellow car guy doing on the other side of the world. Keep on keeping on Alex, hope to see a Porsche on the channel soon (for more than 30 seconds :D )

4G63T all the way. Mind was reliable and never lost a street race until the timing belt broke. Until then it never failed. Had it for 10 years. And yes, it was modded, made around 400 hp. It was a 1991 GSX. Man I miss that car.😢
I missed the peter updates. Thats sad. Peter and you were amazing together. The banter and everytvibg was perfect. Ive been watching before peter and will watch after. I have aged out of the "working on projects" stage, so watching your videos is doing so vicariously. I have done my share in my younger days, though, on everything from my first $25 car, a 1941 Buick coupe straight eight, OHV, dual carb (factory option), up to working on the water injection system for a highly modified Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 1650 cu. in. P-51 Mustang fighter. I know and appreciate your excitement and occasional frustrations you experience! Wait what?!
Ole Peter the pedophile is gone...

Nevermind I read your comment regarding Peter. Whatever the problem was I'm still rocking with ya Alex, best car channel on UA-cam by far.
That's what I love about this channel. Variety. Mercedes one day, muscle the next and a JDM another. And I am just trying to maintain my 03 c5 Corvette. Bought her 2 years ago, she was in rough shape. Looking so much better now. But needs more love.
you know what's better than your DSM videos? your ads. You're a great salesman, I don't even care about my lawn but I want to buy me some Sunday.

My older brother had a 1g DSM when he and I were both learning to work on cars. This makes me think of that first project car of his. Good memories.

I recently bought back my grandfather's 67' Impala Sport Sedan factory 396/TH400 A/C car. Working on getting it driving again.
