They are sold as a complete kit, even the rear calipers but they are the same as the existing rear calipers only powdercoated whatever color to match the fronts. They usually come in red but I think you can get silver or black. Since you have the Escalade, there is an option to get them with the Cadillac logo on them as well.

    You can put a big brake kit on it. I have the same vehicle, 2017 model and I am running StopTech big brakes on all 4 corners. Kit came with 6 piston calipers and slotted rotors, along with braided brake lines as well. They work great with Hawk ceramic pads. I'm also running a Whipple SC, truck is a beast and a super tow rig.

    it is so crazy you brought up Stacy David. I've always thought your channel had a "Trucks TV show" type of Vybe, with a lot of walk-throughs and installations. I used to love watching that show and going through the Jegs Catalog when I was a kid.

    _Love it when your wife starts talking about a Corvette(other than your C4 Ruby). And yes, a C7 Z06, or a C6 ZR1 were some of GM's finest hours in my eyes. And yes, the fourth gens don't get enough love. (The white, with white trim, white leather seats, and white steering wheel aka the '35th Anniversary' is a prime example of this for sure)._

  • @autotalon
    @autotalon 9 місяців тому +2

    FYI, in a DSM cold air makes a huge difference in how it runs, it can really limit your max boost at the track depending on how hot it is. Usually I pop a headlight out and drop about 20 degrees or so, it has been the difference between it pulling cleanly in 3rd and breaking up a bit. Like you said, maybe with a massive intercooler it may be a bit better, but when you get into a car running 35+PSI intercoolers start to work a bit differently than in other applications.

    • @rustler08
      @rustler08 9 місяців тому +2

      Yeah, his statement is so fallacious it's not even funny. It's like saying that there's very little difference between running on a 40 degree day and a 100 degree day.
      The reality is that cooler air is more dense and hot air will cause timing retard because it can otherwise lead to pre-ignition. Ironically, he could keep his cone filter and just modify the box to contain it, but nope.

    • @autotalon
      @autotalon 9 місяців тому +2

      @@rustler08 Not entirely, in his testing it didnt make a difference, but the efficiency of the intercooler and turbo/engine combo plays a ton into it as well. It might be that his intercooler can eat the temp difference in that volume of air, my combo of small engine/super high boost relatively needs all of the help it can get.

  • @teedoemoto1
    @teedoemoto1 9 місяців тому +1

    Alex--the shorter rear Magnaride stick that is provided will cause the rear to have a very quick rebound compared to the front. Since the front spindle simply raises the hub location, the front geometry is retained--the rear is not the same. Ask me how I know...
    I ended up going back with the factory Magnaride stick for the rear and modified the cam sensor mount up higher. It retains the smooth factory ride, but you have less suspension travel in the rear due to the shorter springs. The shorter bump stops help, but just be careful of carrying too much weight in the rear or towing a trailer with a heavy tongue weight.
