It's the same with super slam, you get that perk on a fast knife when you get it at level 8 and congratulations you are literally set for the rest of the game
On an unpatched version of the game you could do the casino caps glitch where you grind up 35500 caps then turn them all into casino chips, drop said chips on the ground and then the number of chips are in the negatives, turn the chips back into the casino teller and suddenly you're able to do turn them in infinitely, which means you could hypothetically have millions of Legion Denarius
I regularly watch your videos, and I'm constantly amazed, entertained and outright baffled at the things that happen during your runs. So, I decided to do a playthrough as Rusty Shackleford, mainly focusing on Unarmed combat for the first time. This also happened to be the first time I didn't outright kill the Legion on sight. There's a Disguised Frumentari you can run into out in the wastes after meeting Caesar and staying on the Legion's good graces, starting off the quest Caesar's Favor. It's a repeatable quest where you can find around 8 metal boxes, five of which have differing amounts of Denarius, one box alone having 125. Not sure if you knew this or not, but if you ever feel like using coin shot again on a pro-Legion run, that'll definitely come in handy.
Honestly Teddy would make a great Fallout run. Must use a hunting gun, must wear a suit befitting a politician, must collect every teddy bear in the game, must hunt every possible animal, except for Yao Guais because we all know Teddy's opinion on shooting bear cubs. Might be a bit difficult starting out since both attacking before acquiring a suitable weapon and running away from animal encounters are no nos.
Very strange how Vegas has so much Legion coin on stand-by in case some legionnaire strikes it rich at a casino and somehow doesn't realize gambling is outlawed by the Legion
I think a better challenge might be the bean bag rounds. Doesn't it only do fatigue damage? Also... day a lot asking for an exploding pants only run in any fallout
It is INSANELY QUICKER to just cash casino chips in stacks of 80 then turning them in for 10 denari and repeating. This can be done to stack denarii WITHOUT opening and closing dialogue with the cashier, let alone the pip boy to drop chips
This is something I love about New Vegas- it has all sorts of tiny things that I'm somehow only discovering after playing it a bajillion times. Had no idea this was an ammo type. Heck, I only found out that the pocket sand melee skill was a thing even though I've definitely done what's required to obtain it before.
I think it's a testament to your love of melee builds that in all your time in New Vegas, you'd not tried disassembling enough ammo to know you can't break down the non-standard varieties. Or at least the GRA varieties. You did get an NCR Ranger to breakdance at @21:13 that was neat. Also a silly suggestion: can you beat Fallout 3/4/New Vegas as the Mysterious Stranger? Hat, coat, revolvers only (preferably .44), must third-party every combat encounter you come across. Probably easiest in 4 because of the luck build type, just pop in with a VATS attack and disappear into the night.
This video was a nice little surprise when I got home from work. Now ill have about 15 minutes to relax before I start crying for the rest of my night.
I may not have thought of this being a video I'd watch today, but I'm interested in this. Coin Shot makes me think of one of the new characters in Mortal Kombat who can ricochet a bullet off a coin to kill the opponent... But, this should be entertaining and informative as always! 😁
Not quite this restrictive, but this is literally my favourite FO3 run style. There are a few different mods that make it rather trivial to acquire the extant commie gear and make it half decent, especially early on, and a janky but neat faction-swap for Operation Anchorage, and playing as a commie is, like, the illogical conclusion of the satire of the Cold War. There's also a few good side quests and fun locations.
There's also the dirty chinese fatigues, the commie hat from the pitt in the abandoned apartment building and the other commie hat in operation Anchorage
Idea for a Fallout 4 Challenge Run: "Laser Golf" Premise - In Fallout 4, there is a Legendary weapon effect called "Endless" which basically means your weapon has no maximum magazine size. This typically just means no reloading is necessary, but it has an unusual interaction with a few weapons that use non-standard magazine formats. One of these interactions is the Laser Musket. The Laser Musket must be manually loaded for each shot in the magazine, but the main feature that interacts strangely with Endless is the way it fires: every round loaded into the Musket is fired in a single shot, with the damage of the shot scaling based on the number of rounds loaded. Due to the way Endless works, this allows and Endless Laser Musket to be loaded repeatedly ad infinitum as opposed to stopping at its magazine capacity (well, it can be loaded until you have loaded every round into it anyhow), allowing for a single shot to deal up to an arbitrarily massive amount of damage. The run: somehow, some way, (mods, commands, whatever) start the game with an un-upgraded Endless Laser Musket and 1,000-5,000 rounds for it (a large but finite number). You must complete the main story of Fallout 4 (any ending), using only the Laser Musket, and you must kill every enemy you encounter (stealth is allowed but only for sneak attacks). You may only deal damage by firing the Laser Musket - no companions, grenades/mines, bashing, etc. Environmental hazards such as other enemies, hacked turrets, or environmental traps are permitted, as well as upgrading the Laser Musket and perks as long as they don't deal damage separately from the musket. You may bring companions as pack mules and cheerleaders, as long as they are somehow unable to deal damage, such as unarmed robots or modded companions (yes they can tank too, just no damage). At the end of the run, count how many rounds you consumed - lowest score wins. Speedrun optional. Caveats and edge cases: environmental allies like those present during various story quests are obviously inevitable and permitted. Grenades and other weapons are not permitted, but they may be used to complete quest steps ONLY if those steps do not require you to kill an enemy with the weapon in question (such as testing the artillery a trhe Castle). As with the weapon exception, companions required for specific steps in the main quest are also of course permitted, but must be dismissed asap. Settlement turrets and traps are also NOT permitted. The ban on non-musket weapons includes mines and grenades that summon allies (including vertibirds), affect enemy AI such as berserk effects, the Minute Men Flare Gun (except where a quest explicitly requires its use to progress so long as doing so does not deal damage to an enemy), power armor auras/sprint slams and ejected cores, "command enemy" perks (including both surrender and berserk effects - Ghoulish 3+ is also NOT permitted). Damage bonuses from chems, perks, and other passive effects ARE permitted, as long as the damage is dealt exclusively by Laser Musket shots.
Hey Nerbit, since you like the Hunting Shotgun, I got a challenge for you. Rules: 1. Hunting weapons only (hunting revolver, shotgun, and rifle) + uniques 2. Get Sneering Imperialist perk and use it whenever possible. 3. NCR run but as evil as possible, always choose ruthless/violent options. Maybe do Van Graff quest and make Boone ruthless too. The challenge? "Can you beat New Vegas as Dick Cheney?" Bonus points for friendly firing important NCR characters and getting away with it.

“And Stay Back” makes me laugh everytime I use it, all I can think of when using it is the old Hana Barbara cartoons where someone shoots a shotgun and they go flying. Something a cartoon character does, but when placed in such a serious environment like FNV, the contrast just makes it really funny to me. It’s not too much where it’s immersion/tension breaking, but it’s enough to get a chuckle out of me.
As a note, coin shot’s extra projectile means that you have a better chance to trigger ‘and stay back’ and critical hits, which makes them fantastic.

Honestly, the best part about challenge videos like these is how they can put a magnifying glass on more niche gear/mechanics, exploring how practical they would be to incorporate or build around in a more practical playthrough-perfect for when you're looking for a reason to play through the game again.
God, the hunting shotgun *chick chick* pump is the most satisfying thing ever in FNV
get a good enough rep with the legion and they drop off some supplies for you every so often in a certain spot including the coins needed for coin shot
With high rep you get more from the supply crates than killing hit squads
I checked that out off camera. While it was a decent amount, unfortunately it was not going to be super viable in the long run, I wish it was though lol
@@Nerbit13098really?? The last time the legion gave me access to their stash box I received like 250 denarius per visit
@@Nerbit13098it almost certainly would be, just a bit tedious. It is very frequent, and you can roll very high amounts of coin.
@@windows95leon Apparently it's not even random, just guaranteed 235 denarius every three days. At least, that's what the wiki says.
I wouldve just bought 100 chips at a time dropped the 1 got my denari, rinse and repeat until out of money picking up the singles when done instead of making many little piles. Love your content keep up the good work
Silly idea, probably suggested a thousand times already but "Can you beat Fallout New Vegas, as Frank Sinatra?" Completing quests while necking bourbon and looking dapper while at it.
That basically sounds like you have to be drunk as much as possible
@werewolfjedi38 Yeah, basically. Thought it would also mean to complete every Omertas quest as well. The whole mafia-thing.
That's good!
Frank also owned quite a few guns. Some of which I think have a close enough counterpart in NV.
So: The suit, hat, Frank's guns, whiskey, and Omertas.
I'd say the only gang remaining should be Omertas. Not sure who he would side with at the end. It would probably have to be a Yes-Man ending.
Are there any missions that resemble some of his movies?
Casino robbery, like the original Ocean's Eleven. Or The Manchurian Candidate? I don't know his movies beyond those two, or New Vegas well enough.
@@vissenekku Maybe Dead Money? Pretty sure that's the only heist in the game + dlc. I think for factions it would be a House-ending, Sinatra worked for others as an entertainer after all.
Siding with House would have been a great joke.
Both of you solve your problems by throwing money at it
I don't say this often but you're one of the very few people who I feel were born to make content. Even your old videos still hold up. You pump out high quality content like it's nothing. Always a fun time, Nerbit.
He literally was born to, you actually didn't know this is an AI run channel by UA-cam? They stopped updating this thing years ago
Like bro he's running on legacy code and they still haven't fixed the bitrate glitch after 19 months lmao

Great video, Salad boy pays mad good once you start getting the legion drop boxes at "liked". Plus the lucky shades, salad boy's the man
I've never heard of the coin shot so this should be a learning experience ❤
Hope you are well man!
I had not heard about it either until a few months ago, also yeah I'm doing good man cheers :)
@@Nerbit13098 I was going to mention the Great Khan armoury, something I only found out about recently...but like you I normally massacre them haha making it fruitless.
Also nice TMNT reference.
I thought it was a mod when I saw the video title.
The moment i heard Armstrong i lost it. Watching your uncut play through of Rising made me buy because of how fun it looked and damn is it fun. Im only at Monsoon but ive loved every second of it.
I saw coin shot and immediately my brain went
“YOU CALL SHOOTING A COIN A MARTIAL ART”
“you try doing it then”
Hey, If it works..
+RICOSHOT
Irony of you having to blur the tomato soup you made of that Paladin man made it more visceral. 🤣✌️
Great video as ever pal!
This is the Fallout equivalent of a Gil Toss only run in Final Fantasy.
I get that, in terms of dps, the riot shotgun is objectively better but the hunting shotgun is just so much more fun to use. It FEELS better
It’s like using a bolt action sniper over a semi auto one, both do the job just fine but the click-clack of chambering the next round feels like it has more weight to it.
Seeing you go a shotgun build was very interesting, as I’ve said before I’ve never played Fallout but your videos are so damn good. When you said “Super Slam, but for shotguns,” I knew it was gunna be a hilarious play through.
"It cost 96 legion denarius to fire this weapon, for 12 shots"
Kudos to Nerbit for always finding a way to make even the most mundane challenge fun and entertaining to watch
Yes yes, kudos, he is a gentleman and a scholar, a doggo and a pupper
Coinshot is unironicaly the best reason to become vilified by the legion as every legionary will carry some coins and they absolutely gore anything that bleeds
It is not if it can be done, it is about how you end up doing it. That is what this one was all about.
* At the battle of hoover dam *
" Hey bro I'm out of bullets, mind giving me your wallet? "
Can you beat Fallout:New Vegas as Dr.Klein? You have to use all of the Dr.Klein named items in OWB and spec mostly into science.
I *THINK* the coin-shot also has a unique projectile model you can see if you get that one VATS crit-camera, which is a neato touch if so.
Shooting someone with Coin Shot is a alternate way of saying "Violent Donation"
Yo true lmao
Fun thing i found out
If you have 50 scrap metal you can give them all to jack at once and skip all of the boomers quests straight to the bombers as it immediately makes you idolised
Found that out a few plauthroughs ago
In one of my playthroughs, Coinshot is the ONLY ammo I use for Big Boomer, it is stupid powerful and a ton of fun.
Resident evil movies reference was a lost opportunity xD. Nice video!
Never even knew this was a thing, guess you learn something new about Fallout New Vegas every day lmao
Edit: Gambo First Bet may be one of the funniest misspeaks I've ever heard and it caught me COMPLETELY off guard
Same lol
I have an increased level of appreciation for this challenge run, solely because of seeing challenges and base game-isms that console players have to deal with (alongside loading screen times), man am I glad that PC has the in-game console, that thing is beautiful.
Has waiting and watching a Nerbit video every friday become a part of their routine for anybody else?
Honestly yeah waiting for the fallout 4 abraham lincoln video took up my entire week it was all I could think about also have you noticed how much more funny and lively nerbit is
"I could hear over to the tops and start a blood bath with Benny and the boys, but let's cool our Jets"
Man of culture coming in with the reference to Benny and the Jets.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as the Chosen One? You must only use guns that were available in Fallout 2, get the Enclave power armor (and kill the remnants immediately if you want lmao), do all the Jacobstown related quests (bc of Marcus), recruit Boone (his voice actor is the same as Myron from F2) and side with the NCR
Has a hard time finding 12 Gauge hulls, seemingly leaves behind 6 of them while talking about it. Classic nerbit.
I still have no idea how And Stay Back got farther than anyone’s minds. Absolutely broken.
It's the same with super slam, you get that perk on a fast knife when you get it at level 8 and congratulations you are literally set for the rest of the game
Coin Shot is just really funny to use when you're NCR allegiance. You give the Legion a refund on the bullets they spend on you.
0:01 I can say the exact same thing for the smack sounds at the beginning 😂
It was between that and the high pitched CinemaSins style dings lol
On an unpatched version of the game you could do the casino caps glitch where you grind up 35500 caps then turn them all into casino chips, drop said chips on the ground and then the number of chips are in the negatives, turn the chips back into the casino teller and suddenly you're able to do turn them in infinitely, which means you could hypothetically have millions of Legion Denarius
Thought this was an Ultrakill themed run at first because in my years playing this game I had no idea these rounds were a thing
I personally believe this would have been way more funny if he named this character V3
Joshua: You call shooting a coin a martial art?
Courier: Shing! Sparkle Sparkle!
(Can you beat the Outer Worlds as Teddy Roosevelt?)
21:14: Holy crap, that soldier is like "Welp, if I'm gonna die, might as well do a quick breakdance!"
Actually, coinshot is a great way to go to the stripclub on a budget
This dude is funny as hell, why have I never seen these videos.
I may not have thought of this being a video I'd watch today, but I'm interested in this. Coin Shot makes me think of one of the new characters in Mortal Kombat who can ricochet a bullet off a coin to kill the opponent... But, this should be entertaining and informative as always! 😁
Erron Black would have been a cool idea for the kharacter if you could make revolver coin shot rounds
17:56 for some reason hearing your laugh is great
"Disgruntled roll of toilet paper"
You did that man dirty, but I guess he has enough to clean it up.
Love the videos man keep up the great work, “Can you beat fallout 4 while only using the Paddle ball” (Nuka world DLC)
Can you do fallout 3 as a communist. You can only use chinese pistol , assault rifle and sword. You can only use Chinese stealth armour.
I feel like Chinese soilder run would be better name but sick idea that’s funny asf lol
There's also the dirty chinese fatigues, the commie hat from the pitt in the abandoned apartment building and the other commie hat in operation Anchorage
I love when nerbit said
“here comes the money shot” and shot all over new Vegas
Idea for a Fallout 4 Challenge Run:
"Laser Golf"
Premise - In Fallout 4, there is a Legendary weapon effect called "Endless" which basically means your weapon has no maximum magazine size.
Gambo First Bet sounds like a awesome movie

Gambo: The First Bet
The crossover we didn't know we wanted nor needed, and yet now we do🤣
Day made. Thank you for all the amazing content
Thank you for watching :)
Hey Nerbit, since you like the Hunting Shotgun, I got a challenge for you.
Rules:
1. Hunting weapons only (hunting revolver, shotgun, and rifle) + uniques
2. Get Sneering Imperialist perk and use it whenever possible.
3. NCR run but as evil as possible, always choose ruthless/violent options. Maybe do Van Graff quest and make Boone ruthless too.
The challenge? "Can you beat New Vegas as Dick Cheney?"
Bonus points for friendly firing important NCR characters and getting away with it.
I don't know exactly what it would be, but I'm CERTAIN that "Gambo: First Bet" has the potential to be another good gimmick run
“Gambo first bet” is the funniest thing I’ve heard and made my week
Always a good day when nerbit drops a vid

After you mentioned the lunchbox, i got an idea for a fallout 4 run:
Can you win Fallout 4 as Thomas the tank engine- you can only use the powerarmor sprint attack and have to paint your powerarmor blue
“And Stay Back” makes me laugh everytime I use it, all I can think of when using it is the old Hana Barbara cartoons where someone shoots a shotgun and they go flying.
ACME definitely comes to mind, Loony Toons or maybe even some old Donald Duck cartoons if you go back far enough are what I’m thinking of. It’s just such a gag type of attack y’know? Something a cartoon character does, but when placed in such a serious environment like FNV, the contrast just makes it really funny to me. It’s not too much where it’s immersion/tension breaking, but it’s enough to get a chuckle out of me.
