What bugs me about the entire brotherhood being alerted every time one dies is that they didn't use to. Don't know if it was intentional but it got patched in at some point. I know cuz I use to wipe them out, leave the bunker intact so that when they respawned I had a good farm for stuff to sell for caps.

Sub challenge ideas being you try to get the armor from the mariner (I think it’s called scourge of the sea) for finishing all her side quests and complete the captains dance so you can get the captains hat.
If I'm not mistaken, you can find two hunting rifles in Novac, one in Cliff's bungalow, and one in Ranger Andy's. There's also another one with some ammo outside of Boulder City at the train stop, near a skeleton trapped under a boxcar. It really feels like the devs wanted you to have a hunting rifle and plenty of ammo for it at that point in the game, especially considering all the boxes of ammo in Helios One.
The varmint rifle is my favorite gun in NV. In survival mode, it's easier to just get the Ratslayer as soon as possible. Yes I play stealth archer in Skyrim.
When you do the bottle tutorial with Sunny, drop your ammo on the ground. Sunny will give you more once if you’re all out. Then you can pick it back up.
An Agent 47 run sounds really fun to try out. Although, I guess choosing the exact ruleset would be a bit tricky. It probably makes the most sense to allow for 47's full arsenal of skills. Disguises and deception, 45.pistol, sniping, staging accidents (I mean, Yes Man throwing General Oliver off the dam fits right in). The "Silent Assassin" ruleset could also be adapted into such a run (bar the hiding the bodies part). I'm sure you will figure out a satisfying ruleset. Looking forward to seeing whatever ideas you have in store!
its about 150, some of those have already been done mind you, but I add new ones to it every few days if something pops into my head or I see a good suggestion in the comments
The Ratslayer was my main weapon my first run. Since it has a ridiculous 5X critical chance, with the right perks and equipment you can get 100% crits even without stealth.
I just did a Hardcore Legion playthrough in one "sitting" (it crashed multiple times) while achievement grinding. I have you and Jarbo to thank for inspiring me to take upon this utter madness i have descended into. 😂😂😂😢
Here’s an idea for a challenge. “Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with every unique weapon?” You have to own every unique weapon it’s possible to get in a single playthrough, you can only kill with unique weapons, and you must use each unique weapon to get at least one kill. Some of them are very hard to get, such as Mercy. Plus, you’ll need a lot of caps.
Finally! I love the idea of no one knowing who the courier is because no one's ever seen them! The entire wasteland just gets upheaved by someone who doesn't exist
Can You beat fallout as Peter Griffin (Any fallout game you can pick) 1 intelligence, you must be addicted to alcohol, wear glasses and the closest thing you can find to peter, only use unhealthy food and drink as healing items, apart from energy weapons you can basically use anything as peter is a cartoon character and has used many MANY weapons before
I've picked up this game today after many years thanks to your video: I always thought I didn't have many other things to try in NV but I just started a sneaky based character and I think I'm gonna enjoy it. Closed the game after a 3 hour session just to find this. Nice
the bug with the clothes at around 11 minutes is actually insanely infuriating, it happens with some leather armor that has a bandana on your neack (forgot the name, too lazy to look it up) while you're holding the .357 revolver... you can tell what run I was attempting, and it was a huge bummer, like the bottom third of my screen was covered by the bandana
The ghost of the Mojave. Nobody’s seen it, but there have been glimpses. A sound here or there. Nothing provable. Took over the Mojave without anyone noticing
Ah such fun memories, used the silenced 22 pistol for clearing out the Bison Steve and it was certainly fun doing it. That gun is quite strong as you sneak effectively enough to get that bonus from it.
The Powder Gangers actually don't attack you on sight if you have the Shunned reputation, which you obtained by not attacking any of them in Goodsprings. Still, I'm guessing you would have attacked them anyway for the XP, but just a handy thing to know
My runs are usually stealth based and I love clearing out every Legion location before getting to the strip and still being neutral... But Ceasar still knows somehow.
Do you like Nerbit? His early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Can You Beat New Vegas while being chased by Private Kowalski came out in '21, I think he really came into his own, creatively and imaginatively The whole video has a clear, concise direction, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the humor a big boost. He's been compared to Mitten Squad, but I think Nerbit has a far less bitter, cynical sense of humor. Later in '21, Nerbit released this, Fallout as Abraham Lincoln, his most accomplished idea. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Can You Beat Fallout 4 as Abraham Lincoln", a video so enjoyable, most people probably don't listen to his script. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of imitation, and the importance of beating slavers into submission, it's also a personal statement about Nerbit himself.
Solid Nerbit, hunting for some revenge on the Mojave. Chalenge idea, can you finish TES V - Skyrim as a Witcher? rules(kinda optional): -may have an iron or steel weapon to kill humans, "nonhumans"( elfs, orcs, argonians and khajiit) and animals and a silver sword to kill monsters, undeads and magical beings -may only use flames, ward and "charm" spells (shouts are ok, consider them a mutation) -must make your own potions -must do at least 1 sidequest to kill a specific monster/undead/magical being ps:i think its fair to have a crossbow for whatever reason
It's a good thing you didn't call this, "Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas As Solid Snake", or, "Can You Play Fallout: New Vegas As A Metal Gear Game", because if you did, you'd automatically fail the run; you'd be creating a paradox by saying, "War never changes" and "War has changed" simultaneously (and we all know how Colonel Campbell gets when you cause a paradox).
Love these videos, great work Nerbit! Here's a challange for you: Can you beat Fallout 4 as Naked Snake/Big Boss Rules: 1. Side with railroad 2. Wear some form of a sneaking Suit (mods are ok) 3. Have max strength and max ability by the end of the game 4. Try and stay in character as Big Boss as best you can Optional: rebuild the Minutemen as a new Diamond Dogs/ MSF and raid Gunners Plaza Lore cause lore is fun The events of MGS4 never happen, and Big Boss is trapped asleep by the Patriots for centuries, who fail to stop nuclear war. Finally waking up in a Patriot Vault, Big Boss learns that an addional clone was made, this time of Major Zero. Seeking to end the patriots once and for all, Big Boss enters the wasteland to deal with Sons of the Patriots (Institute)
For the Agent 47 video, there should be an extra objective that if a character can die as a result of a scripted event or speech check, you MUST kill them that way. Things like Caesar dying on the operating table, luring Jeanie May to the front of the Dinosaur, and assassinating Kimball with one of the skill check methods rather than combat.
I saw a video where VNG gaming apparently managed a 'no detection' run, where if he was detected by anyone, even random people and animals, he had to reload. As you can talk to yes man and buy stuff from the gun runners while sneaking, as you can't pickpocket robots, and use a stealthboy to avoid being detected while doing so. Not to mention that just because many AI are scripted to talk to you, doesn't mean they necessarily will detect you, like the casino greeters for example.
With the Kahn asking if there was anyone there I had the same type of experience in Oblivion where I stepped into the light and got seen by an enemy so I stepped one step back and somehow lost the aggro and as always your video makes my Saturdays always enjoyable
NEVER underestimate the Varmint Rifle! In every normal playthrough, my 2 weapons of choice are the Ratslayer and Knock-Knock. With the Ratslayer, I can single shot Deathclaws! Not a weapon to pass up! With these 2 weapons, I can start and beat Lonesome Road as soon as I get these 2. I typically start Lonesome Road around level 4-7 on Normal and it's damn near effortless.
Can you beat Fallout 4 with only the mysterious stranger killing enemies and the water gun from Nuka World to trigger him (He only has a chance to spawn at your last shot in VATS so the water gun is a compromise here.) Attempt 5 at suggesting this
Three video ideas: CYB F4 as SSnake, shadowed leather armor and black bandana only for armor and deliverer suppressed as your only weapon. No vats. CYB F3,NV,F4 as a DND Barbarian. Disable sneaking, grognak armor, sledge, 10 str 1 intelligence. CYB F3 as a drone cannon. Metal armor and helmet, and only the drone cannon (grenade launcher version) as your weapon. I think there's a drill version, but I think the GL would be harder since you can melee every enemy. I think vats works semi normally. But if I'm not mistaken there's only like 800 rounds in the whole game for it and it can only be repaired by merchants.
Bro I was about to comment something supportive like and that I enjoyed your videos but that ratslayer 3am realization made me chuckle and completely froze my brain for a few minutes on what I was going to say.
I have an idea for a video Can you beat fallout new vegas as the terminator -You can use only the sawn of shotgun -You can only wear a leather jacket (if you can't find one use the light leather armor)and sunglasses _You have to kill every leader in the game and if you see one you have to open fire immediately -Go for the yes man ending - You have to kill every human gun shop owner in the game after your done buying -You have to buy every implant in the game (even dlc ones) -You have to have every synthetic organ from old world blues dls -
Don't feel too bad about the Ratslayer. If I'm not mistaken, it's silencer is glitched and alerts people from the bullet impact. I also did my first NV playthrough with just a varmint rifle. That night scope/silencer combo was enough for me, apparently.
Since you’ve gone deeper into the Metal Gear themes I’ve got some concepts that could work out for runs: “Can you beat Fallout 4 as Fortune” in which you use the Tesla Rifle from Automatron. “Can you beat Fallout 4 as Raiden” using the Marine Wetsuit and eventually the Assaultron Blade. “Can you beat Fallout 4 as The End” in which you play as a likely highly inefficient Endurance Sniper with the Solar Powered perk Lastly, “Can you beat Fallout 4 as The Fury” using a Flamer and maybe a Hazmat suit or the CC spacesuit. Perhaps not the hardest runs, but they could make for decent nods to the Metal Gear series.
Challenge idea: Can you beat F4 as among us? Premise: You must obtain all Synth Components in NPCS inventory as you play through the game, eliminating all of those you deem "sus".
This is basically what I did in Fallout 3 once as soon as I got the Chinese Stealth Suit. Thankfully, I did use Fast Traveling to get from various places I had been to because this was way before I stopped using that feature in Bethesda games.
For the record, you picked the right title. As someone who isn't a huge fallout player and has only been playing it seriously very recently, it only took me a few seconds to realize what you were talking about. I'm sure more frequent players would know instantly. Also, it's the term used in the actual game. So it makes sense.

I think that the popup about healing limbs finally showing when the securitron accidentally took that explosive round after the Legate died might just be the latest in the main story anyone has managed to get without crippling a limb before, aside from maybe some no damage runs or such.
It really feels like the devs wanted you to have a hunting rifle and plenty of ammo for it at that point in the game, especially considering all the boxes of ammo in Helios One.
ranger andy has a .44 repeater, still useful tho
YWN.
@@ChumpalBAR?
@Chumpal huh? What does thjs mean
"Whether it was with an anti material rifle or something quieter" is 100% a sentence never spoken before
The varmint rifle is my favorite gun in NV.
You also can just walk up to the bottles and shoot them point blank. She doesn’t care
Definitely has to accept any and all quests that involve murdering for money.
@@Masterprocrastinator223 I mean if the contract is legit… No reason not to.
Out of curiosity, how big is your idea list now?
Would love to see your own ideas and the suggestions you also like the idea of?
its about 150, some of those have already been done mind you, but I add new ones to it every few days if something pops into my head or I see a good suggestion in the comments
One thing I like about these runs is it makes me want to play new vegas and try one of the runs.
Truly a different game playing it as a kill everyone run lol
The Ratslayer was my main weapon my first run. Since it has a ridiculous 5X critical chance, with the right perks and equipment you can get 100% crits even without stealth.
I just did a Hardcore Legion playthrough in one "sitting" (it crashed multiple times) while achievement grinding. I have you and Jarbo to thank for inspiring me to take upon this utter madness i have descended into. 😂😂😂😢
Happy Friday Nerbit and Lads
I actually did this challenge while trying to do as much possible quests and killing everyone and it made me hate stealth lol
Sneak skills seems to work much better for you than it ever does for me. I can have it completely maxed out and I'm still almost immediately detected.
I think agility plays a factor into it as well as had mine at 10 this run if you count the outfits I was wearing giving me a +1 bonus to the stat
@@Nerbit13098 according to what I've read online, the agility stat should only matter as far as it boosts your stealth skill.
Sneak in New Vegas is apparently affected by your level and the enemy's level, so that be factoring into it.
Here’s an idea for a challenge. “Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with every unique weapon?”
You have to own every unique weapon it’s possible to get in a single playthrough, you can only kill with unique weapons, and you must use each unique weapon to get at least one kill.
Some of them are very hard to get, such as Mercy. Plus, you’ll need a lot of caps.
Finally! I love the idea of no one knowing who the courier is because no one's ever seen them! The entire wasteland just gets upheaved by someone who doesn't exist
Can You beat fallout as Peter Griffin (Any fallout game you can pick)
1 intelligence, you must be addicted to alcohol, wear glasses and the closest thing you can find to peter, only use unhealthy food and drink as healing items, apart from energy weapons you can basically use anything as peter is a cartoon character and has used many MANY weapons before
I've picked up this game today after many years thanks to your video: I always thought I didn't have many other things to try in NV but I just started a sneaky based character and I think I'm gonna enjoy it. Closed the game after a 3 hour session just to find this. Nice
Sneak is so OP in this game, especially with all the sneak and crit related perks.
the bug with the clothes at around 11 minutes is actually insanely infuriating, it happens with some leather armor that has a bandana on your neack (forgot the name, too lazy to look it up) while you're holding the .357 revolver... you can tell what run I was attempting, and it was a huge bummer, like the bottom third of my screen was covered by the bandana
The ghost of the Mojave. Nobody’s seen it, but there have been glimpses. A sound here or there. Nothing provable. Took over the Mojave without anyone noticing
You should’ve used the Nellis Tunnel South to get to the Boomers, it might require 100 Lock picking, but it’s much more thematic for infiltration.
I just started watching you not even a week ago. I have binged a lot of you fallout challenge videos. I highly enjoy them, keep ‘em’ coming!
Had a horrible day today, and then I saw this, instant +100
Ty Nerbit :))
Chalenge idea, can you finish TES V - Skyrim as a Witcher?
rules(kinda optional):
-may have an iron or steel weapon to kill humans, "nonhumans"( elfs, orcs, argonians and khajiit) and animals and a silver sword to kill monsters, undeads and magical beings
-may only use flames, ward and "charm" spells (shouts are ok, consider them a mutation)
-must make your own potions
-must do at least 1 sidequest to kill a specific monster/undead/magical being
ps:i think its fair to have a crossbow for whatever reason
-Need to do Dawnguard siding with titular faction
Can you do this in fallout 4?? That would be great to see! Amazing video Nerbit!
Seeing nerbit making a stealth run makes you wish for a nuclear dishonored challenge
Love these videos, great work Nerbit!
Here's a challange for you:
Can you beat Fallout 4 as Naked Snake/Big Boss
Rules:
1. Side with railroad
2. Wear some form of a sneaking Suit (mods are ok)
3. Have max strength and max ability by the end of the game
4. Try and stay in character as Big Boss as best you can
Optional: rebuild the Minutemen as a new Diamond Dogs/ MSF and raid Gunners Plaza
Lore cause lore is fun
The events of MGS4 never happen, and Big Boss is trapped asleep by the Patriots for centuries, who fail to stop nuclear war. Finally waking up in a Patriot Vault, Big Boss learns that an addional clone was made, this time of Major Zero. Seeking to end the patriots once and for all, Big Boss enters the wasteland to deal with Sons of the Patriots (Institute)
Challenge Idea: Can you beat Fallout 4 as James Bond?
"Can you beat fallout nv as Solid Snake?" Be a title xD though you'd need the khan's headband in boulder city
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as an exterminator?
What does that mean?
Yes, he's done a genocide video
With the Kahn asking if there was anyone there I had the same type of experience in Oblivion where I stepped into the light and got seen by an enemy so I stepped one step back and somehow lost the aggro and as always your video makes my Saturdays always enjoyable
pog
Absolutely
@Nerbit oh my god its nerbit
NEVER underestimate the Varmint Rifle! In every normal playthrough, my 2 weapons of choice are the Ratslayer and Knock-Knock. With the Ratslayer, I can single shot Deathclaws! Not a weapon to pass up! With these 2 weapons, I can start and beat Lonesome Road as soon as I get these 2. I typically start Lonesome Road around level 4-7 on Normal and it's damn near effortless.
Can you beat Fallout 4 with only the mysterious stranger killing enemies and the water gun from Nuka World to trigger him (He only has a chance to spawn at your last shot in VATS so the water gun is a compromise here.)
Attempt 5 at suggesting this
I like the subtle music I’m the background now. Keep the good content coming
Nerbit drop 2
Nerbit drop 2
Nerbit drop 2
Fallout New Vegas with only coin shot. It’s a shotgun ammo made with legion coins. You can Gamble at the casinos.
Is this a fr or an ong moment?
ong
Ok so the answer is no you cant
I just finished playing a bunch of smash bros as Snake like ten minutes ago and I see this. perfectly timed coincidence
Amazing! Mission Complete. That right there is why you’re the best, Courier!
Bro I was about to comment something supportive like and that I enjoyed your videos but that ratslayer 3am realization made me chuckle and completely froze my brain for a few minutes on what I was going to say.
I have an idea for a video
Can you beat fallout new vegas as the terminator
-You can use only the sawn of shotgun
-You can only wear a leather jacket (if you can't find one use the light leather armor)and sunglasses
_You have to kill every leader in the game and if you see one you have to open fire immediately
-Go for the yes man ending
- You have to kill every human gun shop owner in the game after your done buying
-You have to buy every implant in the game (even dlc ones)
-You have to have every synthetic organ from old world blues dls
-
Don't feel too bad about the Ratslayer. If I'm not mistaken, it's silencer is glitched and alerts people from the bullet impact. I also did my first NV playthrough with just a varmint rifle. That night scope/silencer combo was enough for me, apparently.
Since you’ve gone deeper into the Metal Gear themes I’ve got some concepts that could work out for runs:
“Can you beat Fallout 4 as Fortune” in which you use the Tesla Rifle from Automatron.
“Can you beat Fallout 4 as Raiden” using the Marine Wetsuit and eventually the Assaultron Blade.
“Can you beat Fallout 4 as The End” in which you play as a likely highly inefficient Endurance Sniper with the Solar Powered perk
Lastly, “Can you beat Fallout 4 as The Fury” using a Flamer and maybe a Hazmat suit or the CC spacesuit.
Perhaps not the hardest runs, but they could make for decent nods to the Metal Gear series.
This was uploaded on my birthday, thanks Nerbit you have inspired me to do more challenge runs in Bethesda games
Challenge idea: Can you beat F4 as among us? Premise: You must obtain all Synth Components in NPCS inventory as you play through the game, eliminating all of those you deem "sus".
Oh yeah, i'm definitely looking forward to the "Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Agent 47" video! Really love Hitman, so this is gonna be perfect.
Awesome Video, the Metal Gear music in the background was a nice touch, recently came across you content a few weeks ago and I am hooked, keep up the awesome work, PS, love the Metal Gear content one of my fav game series
i always love these challenges and i can say that you are among a small handful of people who i actually look forward to seeing post and eagerly watching it. the shenanigans are always loved. keep up the great work man.
Should’ve named yourself Liquid Ocelot since by the end you were the one who had all the weapons and an army. Regardless, this was super fun to watch. I absolutely love MGS and Fallout.
I love this playthrough, because stealth plays in these types of Bethesda games are so much fun, but double love because I had literally done the same thing in The Tops Casino, hiding in the stairway with the Silenced. 22 and popping domes 😂
Can you beat Fallout 4 as a Russian Spy?
Weapons:
Handmade Rifle(Its an AK)
The deliverer (it's a Walter pph which is what the Makarov copied)
Molotovs(weaponized Vodka)
Fists
Armor:
Submariner Uniform
Gasmask with goggles
Ushanka (you will need a mod to wear both head accessories)
Tasks:
Help the Bobrov brothers
Help your fellow Soviet in the sub
ALWAYS have the effects of vodka
Play with russian voice acting(optional)
When it's an option nuke it.
I'm glad this one is catching on, I saw @VNG Gaming do this but I wanted to see your version
not sure if anyone may need this for their own top sneaky runs, but the house with the garden out front between the gas station and Chet's store has 100 .22 rounds to steal. they are on the wardrobe's ledge right in front of it's doors. (there's also half a dozen pre war money behind it.)
Didn't think I'd see a video like this. I remember recommending this to you after seeing VGN Gaming do this (plus did the dlcs). His videos were really good
I think that the popup about healing limbs finally showing when the securitron accidentally took that explosive round after the Legate died might just be the latest in the main story anyone has managed to get without crippling a limb before, aside from maybe some no damage runs or such. Still, it was really funny to see the "how do I heal a crippled limb?" tutorial at the final boss.
0:00 funny thing: you saying this was the first time I had ever heard of the rat slayer.
