Speaking of Fist of the North Rawr, there's a fun trick you can do with it. The hand is marked as a quest item before you craft it into a weapon, so it doesn't get removed from your inventory when you start Dead Money. So then all you have to do is sprint to the nearest workbench and you're all set to go Wolverine on the Ghost People.

Getting a plasma caster or rifle would be by far the simplest part of it. Getting the armor ASAP would be a lot more agonizing, and you can't even use it unless you play nice with the BOS. Sometimes it will kill a lightly armored enemy (and you) in one go. Other times it takes 3 of satchel to work properly. As far as I've noticed explosive damage doesn't stack with satchels.
Random idea I had: Can you beat one of the Fallout games with only one arm? So you can only use knives, pistols, and other weapons you could feasibly use one-handed, no lock picking, and any strength or endurance requirements are raised by two. Also when using any automatic weapons you may have access to you can't use the sights. Obviously any other tasks you may encounter that would require both arms are off the table as well. I'm not sure if this would actually be all that challenging but who knows?
and only use weapons you'll use one handed. so pistols with aiming first (the player model just aims over it, but puts the other hand one when wildly firing without aiming first) are the lever action guns allowed? we've seen in terminator that they could be rechambered one handed.
@@HappyBeezerStudios I would say no to lever actions, since those require a custom enlarged lever loop to allow flip cocking, which none of the Fallout weapons have. I don't know how it would work exactly, but I'd love to see a video of a challenge run in Grognak & the Ruby Ruins, the minigame in Fallout 4. No one ever talks about it but it's my favorite part of the game.
I've put 1316 hours in New Vegas. I have tried so many different runs focusing on singular weapons. I remember doing one with only crafted stuff, this was one of my most fun run. Me being me, I was being a bit masochist by playing on Hardcore, very hard and I wouldn't make use of the Fast-travel (what started as a simple challenge became how I would play NV from that point on, its surprisingly fun as you discover passages and locations you normally would never visit.
Mad Bomber is my favorite perk due to sheer entertainment value. The Microfusion Cluster can be farmed in Old World Blues, and they are always worth it.
Video Idea: Can you beat Skyrim with only the ebony mail? The ebony mail is a unique set of ebony armor that poisons enemies that get too close to you. Imagine killing Alduin just by standing there, MENECINGLY.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Rick Deckard (aka 'Blade Runner)? 1.) Weapon restriction- That Gun 2.) Clothing Restriction- either NCR Riot gear, or Bounty Hunter Duster 3.) Tactics- you must kill every robot you see, you must drink every bottle of whiskey you find/stay addicted to whiskey, must have dog companion.
@@Nerbit13098 If you feel like doing one for Fallout 4, there's an aiming mod that mimics Metal Gear Solid's with the switching from third person to first when you aim your gun. Doesn't really affect anything run-wise, but I found it to be pretty fun.
I love all of your videos, you ask all the right questions with the weapons runs, really pushes the boundaries of the game and makes me want to play it again. Though i wonder… could you beat the game as boxcars?? I feel like having both legs completely crippled for the entire run would be on par with being overencumbered, but using only his weapons and armor on top of that would be a challenge. Keep up the great work!!
Good to know it wasn't just me that felt like vats was an absurd improvement for mfc grenades, used a lot of them during my explosives only run, with how good they worked in vats I actually used vats a lot more often than I normally do in my playthroughs
I'd say 2 years, there has been a reference in just about every single video, some more obvious than others, truth be told I have been working on a Metal gear video for a while, it was going to be the last video of last year but technical difficulties have pushed it back a bit
I was expecting a melee weapons build with Fist of the North Rawr, or maybe a Heavy Guns build with FIDO. Loved seeing what was basically a grenades only build :)
I like to think that all of these crazy new vegas runs are just the courier in an infinite number of realities somehow accomplishing their goal in the weirdest way possible.
I'd love to see a "beat new vegas with only unique's" run. I know it would be easy as hell, but I think it would be fun to see all of the cool unique weapons and seeing them be used more. Or a "beat with only the nuka break" or other fun gimmick weapons
Seeing the ending with that one massive explosion was just so satisfying. I was sad there wasn't more in the way of crafted weapons but it made up for it and I really enjoyed this video.

I recently completed a long play through of New Vegas as a melee and explosives fanatic. During the dead money dlc, the cosmic knife spear and cluster MFC grenades were my best friends. Went through the entire rest of the game with Annabel, a fully modded red glare and oh baby and honestly it was more fun than my preferred way of playing a sniper
I want to tell you Thanks for inspiring me to give the fallout series another try, I tried new Vegas and I wasn’t able to enjoy it due to how absolutely ignorant I was about everything in the game. I’m far more well informed now so I will certainly enjoy the entirety of it.
hey man, I'm a new fan of yours and I love your stuff, I found a mod called "Joshua Graham's Revenge", basically if you mess up honest hearts, he'll come to the mojave and try to kill you multiple times, I think he doesn't really die. I think it fits perfectly well with your 'chased by ' series :D
Challenge idea (already proposed but still think it could be nice) : can you beat Fallout NV as Dr Mobius. Rules : go straight to the Big MT and beat the game using only Mobius glasses, glove and scrub. Because you can only get those at the end of the DLC, you are allowed to use Dr Klein's items in the mean time (Mobius and Klein may have been friends but they were also rivals). At the end of OWB, you must convince the Think Tank you are Mobius in a lobotomite body and be on Mentats at all times (all drugs are allowed) Bonus rule : you must use Mobius langage mispronunciations, such as dessert instead of desert. No raisin for this rule, just felt it could be a fun additional challenge. Feel free to discard any rule you find annoying or add others. Love your videos !
The citizens of good springs: You're insane Me, wearing roller skates while crafting explosives and drinking copious amounts of wine: How dare you! IM AN ARTIST!
Fun fact about crafted weapons: If you kill Rawr in Lonesome Road and don't immediately craft his hand into Fist of the North Rawr, you can actually bring it into Dead Money since the hand is labeled as a quest item, meaning you can craft it at a work bench inside dead money and have an OP Melee weapon that does bonus limb damage.
Want it but can't find it, don't need it find many? My friend, you have encountered what we in the Monster Hunter community call The Desire Sensor. It's a tricky mistress and you must let go to find what you truly need
Honestly, this challenge needs a part 2 where you do the dlc, because those micro fusion cell grenades come in handy to craft when there’s many micro fusion cells for the holorifle in dead money.
An idea for a challenge run that might be different to your usual runs through Fallout 4: Can you beat Fallout 4 as Mr Monopoly? You're restricted to only using the Walking Cane as a weapon, should wear Oswald's Tophat and the Black Suit, and should also aim to renovate a few key properties of your choosing into Hotels (at least 10 population in three settlements, each earning you money with two ranks in Local Leader to establish trade and stores between the settlements.) Oh also, siding with the railroad of course!
Related challenge run ideas: Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with only crafted ammo? Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with only recycled energy weapon ammo? These may seem super similar, but the recycled ammo challenge allows you to retrieve the ammo from the bin in the Hidden Valley Bunker that randomly fills with energy weapon ammo if you reach Accepted or higher reputation with them. The NPC says it's recycled ammo, so as far as I'm concerned, it counts.
A good way to prepare pork ribs is to, in advance make a covering of BBQ sauce and honey (however, you can use whatever sauce you want) . Pre-heat the oven at approximately 240°f, 120°c. While the oven heats, Line a baking tray with foil then place the ribs on them. Place them in for between 3-4 hours. Halfway through, remove the ribs and brush them generously with your prepared sauce then put them back in for the remaining time. A good side for such a meal would be a delicious salad or maybe some homemade fries.
An odd request but an idea I've always wanted to see. Can you beat Fallout as a Druid? This can be whichever game you feel this is best accomplish in, but essentially the goal is as many varied tasks meant to befriend, ally with, preserve, take the side of, or rescue animals as possible. Good luck with whatever challenges you take on in the future regardless. (Felt it was wise to mention the Beast Master mod in Fallout 4, in case that helps.)
I’m waiting for the Fallout 4 run of this. You can’t exactly craft weapons in 4 but ammunition, drugs, food, grenades, robots, etc... are all craftable items you can use in combat. You could also make it so you can only use a weapon or armour if you craft a mod in every slot available.

Hey, you could've also increased your survival skill and crafted gecko hide armour as a bonus. Love the vids!
“I’ll play metal gear soon, or at least by the end of the year” - Nerbit 2022
*We’re waiting*
Video Idea:
Can you beat Skyrim with only the ebony mail? The ebony mail is a unique set of ebony armor that poisons enemies that get too close to you. Imagine killing Alduin just by standing there, MENECINGLY.
One problem you have to be level 30 to start the quest.
@@gavinl1565 To get the needed XP, he can only level up blocking, heavy/light armor, and restoration. He must practice standing there, MENECINGLY.
saw a video on that just recently. okay, it wasn't only ebony mail, but poison only.
@@notoriousd.i.g.87no
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Rick Deckard (aka 'Blade Runner)?
1.) Weapon restriction- That Gun
2.) Clothing Restriction- either NCR Riot gear, or Bounty Hunter Duster
3.) Tactics- you must kill every robot you see, you must drink every bottle of whiskey you find/stay addicted to whiskey, must have dog companion.
I would love to see a Metal Gear challenge run. Go and unleash everything on it.
I am currently working on one, it very well may be the next video
@@Nerbit13098 Great, now I'm excited to the point of not sleeping.
@@Nerbit13098 If you feel like doing one for Fallout 4, there's an aiming mod that mimics Metal Gear Solid's with the switching from third person to first when you aim your gun. Doesn't really affect anything run-wise, but I found it to be pretty fun.
@@Nerbit13098 You mind if I ask which Metal Gear? Or will I just have to wait and see?
@@Nerbit13098 heh… you’re pretty good.
2:24 I honestly don’t blame you, DM is the only dlc that I actually dread going through. It’s just not fun
Nerbit has teased viewers with a metal gear video for over one year. I’m starting to think it’s never coming, boys.
I'd say 2 years, there has been a reference in just about every single video, some more obvious than others, truth be told I have been working on a Metal gear video for a while, it was going to be the last video of last year but technical difficulties have pushed it back a bit
You should be able to have Ed-E since you technically “craft” him
6:17 he foreshadows the Metal Gear video
Nerbit challenge vids have some unreal replay value. Just perfect background listening and always a good length
honestly id love to see you do a challenge run with metal gear
I am currently cooking something up
Can you smell what the nerbit is cooking!?
Nerbit describing how grenades work and then deciding that's now HIS grenades work is incredible
I wonder if you can beat New Vegas as Kenshiro (unarmed/no weapon whatsoever)
only boxing tape
Seeing the ending with that one massive explosion was just so satisfying. I was sad there wasn't more in the way of crafted weapons but it made up for it and I really enjoyed this video.
Enjoy your day and the video everyone
7:17 because the man with a funny mustache tell me bro what😭
When nerbit posts 😩
Hopefully everyone is okay with the videos being two weeks apart just for the last couple of uploads, things should be back to weekly uploads soon
Thanks for responding Nerbit that made my day!
19:05 the smoke clears and he's in the family guy death pose lmao
The Waffle House has found it's new host

UA-cam loading an ad rather that a high quality and nicely crafted nerbit video: i am speed
UA-cam loading the high quality and nicely crafted nerbit video: wait what was i doing again?
But i cant even watch this due to my wifi once again, something to look forward to this afternoon though
Wait, have i made this joke before?
The Waffle House Has Found Its New Host
Good to see ya feeling better and getting back to it man love this content.
18:29 That Praetorian was like "OH SHIT GRENA- and then he exploded
13:39 you don’t need 100 in science or lock pick to enter this room there is a key on the third floor that unlocks a door on the second floor into the q35 room
This is good to know. Thank you
I recently completed a long play through of New Vegas as a melee and explosives fanatic.
6:05 I 100% thought he was gonna say ted kaczynski, which is the nv run im doing rn lol
That vats grenade on the thug at 9:06was perfect.
The Omertas: *planing to blow up the strip*
Nerbit: I'm four parallel universes ahead of you
hey man, I'm a new fan of yours and I love your stuff, I found a mod called "Joshua Graham's Revenge", basically if you mess up honest hearts, he'll come to the mojave and try to kill you multiple times, I think he doesn't really die. I think it fits perfectly well with your 'chased by ' series :D
the fact this guy plays these game on consoles is insane and i respect that since pc has a lot advantages for challenges
At the end of OWB, you must convince the Think Tank you are Mobius in a lobotomite body and be on Mentats at all times (all drugs are allowed)
Bonus rule : you must use Mobius langage mispronunciations, such as dessert instead of desert. No raisin for this rule, just felt it could be a fun additional challenge.
Feel free to discard any rule you find annoying or add others. Love your videos !
At this point I just want a Nerbit Lore-through video of all the MGS games. Explaining all the states of Snake that...matter.
Stages of realization with this title
>Crafted weapons?
>I didn't think New Vegas had that many crafted weapons
>Oh wait
>It doesn't
> *Oh*
Don't forget the best craftable weapon...ede!
The citizens of good springs: You're insane
Me, wearing roller skates while crafting explosives and drinking copious amounts of wine: How dare you! IM AN ARTIST!
This was fun to watch and interesting
When I get home drunk from a night out at the pub there is nothing better than watching Nerbit till I doze off
New Vegas the George Lucas Edition,
You're not allowed to shoot first.
Something I've learned from my own runs: Stealing from the Van Graffs is 100x easier if you use a Stealth Boy.
Funny how I see the mafia games here right as I start playing them
Want it but can't find it, don't need it find many? My friend, you have encountered what we in the Monster Hunter community call The Desire Sensor. It's a tricky mistress and you must let go to find what you truly need
tell that to the Rathian Ruby it took me a week to get.
Honestly, this challenge needs a part 2 where you do the dlc, because those micro fusion cell grenades come in handy to craft when there’s many micro fusion cells for the holorifle in dead money.
I was not expecting that Legate Fight. Absolutely incredible.
"It was fun."
I guess you could say this run was a blast (I have no doubt others have made this joke, but oh well.)
i cant believe vanilla new vegas does not have craft able throwing spears
That is one of the most satisfying Legate death's I've ever seen. XD
19:55
The moment Nerbit will regret for the rest of his life.
It isn’t a Nerbit new Vegas playthrough without Gomorrah being left a smoldering pile of corpses and sadness :)
Man now I want a play through with the deathclaw gauntlet just to see how you would spice it up.
An idea for a challenge run that might be different to your usual runs through Fallout 4:
Can you beat Fallout 4 as Mr Monopoly?
You're restricted to only using the Walking Cane as a weapon, should wear Oswald's Tophat and the Black Suit, and should also aim to renovate a few key properties of your choosing into Hotels (at least 10 population in three settlements, each earning you money with two ranks in Local Leader to establish trade and stores between the settlements.) Oh also, siding with the railroad of course!
bonus irony points for using a crippling walking cane
Related challenge run ideas: Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with only crafted ammo? Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with only recycled energy weapon ammo? These may seem super similar, but the recycled ammo challenge allows you to retrieve the ammo from the bin in the Hidden Valley Bunker that randomly fills with energy weapon ammo if you reach Accepted or higher reputation with them. The NPC says it's recycled ammo, so as far as I'm concerned, it counts.
missed you last week nerbit! glad your back, you make fridays the best man!
That corpse launch of Lanius was fucking amazing. I needed that laugh. Thanks, Nerbit
The dumpster bounce kill was some skill at 9:13 love vats aha
