the thing Spoony describes about the paladin is actually one of the reasons why Raiden from MGS2 exists. Kojima picked up on that, and thought it'd sound wrong for Snake to ask about basic gameplay stuff after Shadow Moses, so he created a character for Snake to tutor. Also Spoony was and still is great. He shouldn't have to sacrifice his health just to keep the content wheel perpetually churning. I hope life is treating him ok.
Kinda?? He jumped off the deep-end headfirst all the while lamenting how sad he felt, ignoring all help and all reason until his gf dumped his worthless ass and now he just sits there in the dark, fermenting in a stew of self-loathing patheticness, blaming everyone for not helping him... All he had to do was make video's. And in the end he couldn't even do that.
@@hassanrao3576 I think it's borderline personality disorder mixed with some depression, mixed with self-loathing, arrogance, laziness and a smidge of alcohol abuse.
thesatanic6 Its water under the bridge for them. JesuOtaku was apologized to by Noah and as others have pointed out, he didn't leave just for that reason-- it had a lot to do w/ the direction TWTG was going too.
thesatanic6 someone else pointed me in the direction of Noah addressing the whole mess-- if you want to hear noah talk a lot about it then check out To Boldly Flee Commentary Part 1 on Noah's website.
The thing you should keep in mind is that this all happened 2 and a half YEARS ago now. Spoony felt it was too arduous to travel from Arizona to Chicago to film the anniversary stuff when he had a site to maintain and revenue to get. At the time, Doug was finishing the Nostalgia Critic so with the new site direction, he felt it was time to split. The stuff with JO was unfortunately timed but had very little to do with the departure. The split was amicable, and completely Doug-uninvolved. Remember, Doug insists that he's NOT the business aspect of the site. He's just the lead talent. Michaud and Rob are the business end and even then, there was no personal severance in the relationship. If Spoony had been blacklisted from CA because hypothetically he did anything to Mike and Rob, the situation would've had a bigger blowup, because Lewis wouldn't have been able to do the review of the Star Wars comic the way he wanted and would've called them out on such pettiness
***** Spoony appeared in the review of The Wicker Man which premiered two days before his suicide, mere hours after appearing on WTFIWWY. The issue was NEVER between Doug and Noah. All this shit happened during Doug's HONEYMOON. He was out of the loop!
I'm with Spoony on the controversial split, Doug was totally out of line. The Last Action Hero is an amazing film! P.S. I'm glad Richard Garriott lived up to expectation, that's an incredibly rare thing.
Worst Arnold movie ever, not even as a Kid I liked that. 4th wall breaking destroys the ilusion and hence the enjoyment. An answer from 8 years in the future
He is still the funniest persona whos been on channel awesome imho regardless of current problems, and it's obvious Doug might have the same feelings considering how often he's used spoony in his videos. Spoony + Linkara + Doug is a winning combination.
Diego Gatjens I just think it's an interesting subject. Spoony used to be so popular and he's fallen so far with his neurotic tendencies and conning people out of money that you just kind of have to stop and marvel. No one's gone to shit as much as Spoony has.
God damn, Spoony is on the verge of tears throughout this entire interview. Shows to me how humbled he is by this road to success he's had. Makes me love the guy that much more (as if that were possible!).
***** This road to success? If one day his website actually makes enough money, so it can stand on its own legs financially, without him having to rely on Patreon, then we can talk about success. The same goes for Channel Awesome.
***** Congratz for being an ignorant fantwat. I could talk to you for hours... but I won't, because you're obviously not worth my time. "Fuck off." Go play with something toxic, you dummy.
***** Danke, dass du deinen begrenzten Wortschatz mit mir teilen willst, aber nein danke. Mach mir lieber 'nen Döner klar, Mammut. Aber mit ohne Zwiebeln, davon muss man bloß pupen.
jakerockznoodles could be that too. I don't fucking know. I just want to laugh at the funny shit. I hate hearing about all this drama behind the scenes.
BlackPeppe Because YT comments have a well deserved reputation as a sewer with nothing productive coming out of it. When a video of a freaking Billy Joel song somehow warrants political comments and zealotry, I don't blame anyone closing comments on their channel.
He closed it because people were repeatedly bashing him,a lot of people are assholes on the internet,I don't hate Spoony, but I'd be lying if I said the dude sometimes can't handle bad opinions towards him
FF 8: I agree i thought it was dissapointing FF10: It has it's flaws but i still enjoyed it gameplay wise( got the HD collection) FF 13 ....... well at least it has great music
Tony Davis FF 7: It's great though the materia is bit of a hassle to keep up with FF9: currently playing it. pretty good so far FF 10-2: as much I don't want to be bothered I might End up playing it anyway just to get it over with. besides I have unfinished buisness with that game anyway FF 11: never played it FF 13-2 To be honest it's probly the best of the 13 series though the ending sucked ass Lightning returns: won't even bother FF 14: Never played it
SuperFusionAJ93 Sorry to ask upon FF11 and 14 because those are MMO's, although I may have heard FF11 having a launch failure at the time. I actually liked FF10, in a small teaspoons sort of way... but yeah, still sucks, I'm interested in FF9: Only for Freya though, but that seems unfair for the other characters.
+SuperFusionAJ93 FF13 was far more well received than FF8. Why do you think FF13-2 and LR were a thing? Also, his "Everybody hated FF13" argument does not stand when that happened.
Elephant in the Room, huh? Yeah, sure... Because interviewing a *FORMER* host at Channel Awesome who got literally got *KICKED OUT* due to some *UNKNOWN* issues and troubles with some of the female members of the site isn't "elephant-in-the-room-ish" enough ¬_¬; Spoony "never came back" to CA, even To Boldly Flee took a crack at that at the end. Sure, he came back for the recent BloodRayne review, but that's it. Something happened and it was *NEVER* revealed why Spoony left the Channel. Many say that Spoony made a sexist remark on Twitter or his blog or wherever about one of the female producers and then several others ganged up against him to defend her, leading to Spoony quitting the team because it grew out of control. Problem is... "that is what was told"... no official statement was made. Would it have bothered them this much to simply address the fact on why Spoony isn't part of Channel Awesome anymore? THERE's your Elephant in the Room, people. I don't hate Spoony, but just reveal the reason(s) of his departure already. They at least owe THAT explanation for Spoony's fans.
***** Thanks for the thorough run down. I wander though is did all or any of the channel awesome reviewers know he was diagnosed bipolar? Cause he was diagnosed the same year this all happened, and I don't know who or when he told others. Not that it makes a big difference if it was pretty obvious he was in a bad way, but it might have altered the decisions of Lord Kat, and Lupa had they known. And BTW, your link to Sad Panda's site regarding Lupa's tweets doesn't seem to work.
*sigh* they already have...he left because he didn't like the direction the site was going. The whole Lupa, JO thing happened at really the wrong time because it just made things look like he was kicked out because of it. He wasn't, he left on his own accord.
Unknown? Spoony has bipolar 2 (electric boogaloo). Before it was diagnosed and properly treated he said some really stupid shit on twitter in a manic phase. Not really his fault, but also not something that could just be overlooked.
(2:40) You know how Eiichiro Oda tends to use celebrities for character designs in One Piece. Its a stretch but I think I found who Dellinger is supposed to be based on.
Can someone tell spoony that what ever is ailing him that people still have his back? Out of all reviewers spoony was the one I enjoyed the most because he seemed real and genuine. Most reviewers are boring, and have poor acting, besides doug and channel awesome of course. But I think you guys know who I am reffering too. I just want spoony to come back, do reviews once a week. He would be bigger then he his now, he has the name the right amont of anger and asshole-ness. Come back and do review sspooooony And we cant forget his riff series with phantamagoria and ripper some of the best out of there. You know what I really like about spoony? Is his MST3000 vibe. We need to bring that back.
DarthRushy Then he needs to tell his psychiatrist that he needs some adderall or vyvanse. Or move back out to arizona and smoke some legal herb. Problem solved.
During one of the NC's Christmas Special, where he visits various Channel Awesome hosts with an angel in a reality where the NC doesn't exist, Spoony took over the mantle of the Nostalgia Critic and claimed that Last Action Hero was a great movie, where the actual NC panned it completely.
Meh, everyone has their own opinion, but his review of it was definitely bad and he seemed to take it seriously. It also doesn't help, that even with a bad satire, it's hard to make fun of something that's hard to make fun of itself.
Doug looks at movies the same way I look at games. He goes for competence first and foremost, and he probably understands the nitty gritty of how a movie works far better then how I get games. I get what LAH tried to do, and it's commendable, but looking at it purely as a movie (like, boil it down to it's base elements and map it out as a product) and it's fucking horrible.
That's debatable but the problem really is that he took a movie that's basically a (in my opinion, poignant) parody of the terrible 80s action movies and their nonesensical tropes that had dominated the box office for so long as if it was supposed to be an a straight up 80's action movie. That's like complaining that Scary Movie wasn't scary. At the end his review wasn't really funny as it was confusing over how he could miss the point by that much.
no, Patreon is a deal. you put NEW CONTENT you get your money. it's like if i worked for a company 10 years ago, doing great stuff, and now 10 years later still counting on my revenue from this company... i don't argue about all the work he as already done, and all the money he already get. but if he decides to go let the depression rule his life, and stopping plain and simply his old content, the money he gain should be consequential. Just go see Angry Joe and what commentaries/people are saying... it's pure hatred against him because he "put not as much review in his old style as before"... but the difference with him : HE AS NO PATREON RUNNING !! so is Joe wants to stop or do other video, no pb, it's not contractual and written on a contract page between funders and content creator (like on a patreon.) you understand my point ? it's not about me or what have i done content-wise...
So strange to see a guy who got to meet his hero, watch his hero playfight in a way with a good friend of his, got to see so many things, and literally through innaction, destroy his own life, even though reb brown, angry joe, richard garriot, brad jones, and still doesnt accept any help... and now with one of his most famous playthroughs becoming a monthly nostalgia video series of the making of the game and memories, and he still doesnt do shit even though hes the entire reason that old game is really well known now... like.. the fuck dude...
Wait, he got ko'd twice? I knew he got knocked out on the set of the first aniversary special, where angry joe grabbed his hand and ended up cranking him over the head several times. What was the second time?
Seriously, i hope that he's fine with his life and that he's happy..because unfortunately what happened to him is some HUGE waste of potential...he still could probably kick a*s anyday if only he came back with his old good content.
He still has what it takes. His most recent streams were more entertaining and fun again. His jokes were landing. Heah have fallen off again but it's obvious the talent is still alive. Just gotta hope for his health to come under control.
I am interested in actually hearing them discuss what really happened a few years ago. I think for nothing else that fans of both camps need the closure.
Spoony still defrauding people on patreon. Giving no content, taking the cash and running off with it. All the while laughing at the people that still care about him
My friend Rob and I kinda do it for Wolverine, because I thought it was okay for a product that was forced onto the production staff, and he has about the same reaction as Captain Logan from Geekvolution.
While I don't always agree with these two about movies, I can't deny that they are very passionate about films and I love these two as entertainers and critics and showing me obscure stuff I've never heard of before.
Spoony's pretty drunk in this. It really explains how he was able to claim any pride in working on one of those objectively atrocious anniversary specials.
I saw Star Wars episode 1 in the movie theatre when I was in airborne school in the army and I honestly can say I fell asleep halfway through the movie.
+The Killjoy He's around, he's working on a new review right now ! If you check his twitter and go down, you'll see his updates and if your a patreon he'll update you on the reviews he's making a new Black hole of board games and he's dong Rap Rat
I didn’t know Spoony wrote a review about Phantom Menace. Comically, it seems like people, once again, are viewing Episode 1 in a more positive light, ever since the new Star Wars movies. Funny how the pendulum swings back and forth... Anyway, I used to love Final Fantasy Vlll. Back in the day, it seemed fresh and cool. The soundtrack helped. But now, I think it’s the worst FF of the FF Golden Age games (Vl - X). The Laguna dream sequences definitely interrupt the flow and pacing. If you removed Laguna and Ellone from the story, you would have exactly the same game, just with better pacing. So yeah, I think Noah saw through the BS that the rest of us were hesitant to highlight. He has a good eye.
I thought Pacific Rim was one of those movies where you either loved it to the point of naming your child it, or hated it to the point of denouncing it as a movie entirely... Spoony, you are the chosen one!!!!
For anyone who doesn't want to read very far into what i'm going to gab on about, in short I can relate a lot with Spoony but I was more of the Final Fantasy fan but I watched a lot of Spoony's videos on the Ultima series and I related a lot with what he talked about. And i'm going to mention my thoughts on Final Fantasy as a whole (and yes even the spirits within. Obviously, be warned it's lengthy but I really want to let it out also it's just my opinion.) I know a lot of people are going to either laugh or castrate me for saying this but, actually, I was a huge fan of Final Fantasy VII when it came out even from the demo before it came out. It was the first Final Fantasy I actually engaged in playing. Originally I watched someone play Final Fantasy I on the NES but I was born the year it came out so it wasn't a new thing for me but I was old enough to know that it was old and I still loved it. So when Final Fantasy VII came out, I knew it's been 10 years since it was made and I was blown away at how carefully they focused on every detail in every art style, every polygraph in battle, the cutscenes. I could see where they were going. They wanted something to get yourself lost in while they tell you a good story which Final Fantasy VII was their first big leap into that feeling going from a 2d plane to a more 3rd dimentional feel, trying to give you a very personal experience with these characters but that's just my opinion. So I loved that aspect and I didn't get much into their story previously, I couldn't. I didn't have the games and you couldn't just get the games online, you had to look all over thrift stores that care very little for games, or happen to know someone or find it in a garage sale. So keep in mind, I REALLY wanted to play them but I never could. So, that in mind, when I got FFVII I knew right off the bat, the story writers know how to tell a story on a very personal level which really got to me. But then I heard a lot of hate for it because it was too emotional and just laughed a bit but at the same time I can understand. And they didn't ever stop telling it on a personal level, FF8 really personal. 9, very personal but on a broader scale. But I will admit once FFX came along, I felt a shift that they were still trying to keep to their original style but they were going to start swinging in really weird directions on how that was going to happen and it didn't help that it was being done by different people either. I eventually started liking square less and less because of that on Final Fantasy's level but for what it's worth, I did get to go back and play all the old ones except III so far which I heard is arguably one of the best so I can't wait to play that but where i'm getting at with all this is I can actually completely agree with Spoony. In fact when Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, a lot of pople might disagree but just like with Star Wars Episode 1, it was actually popular. So much so that it was aired many times on tv all over the place and accessable. It was popular...at least for the people just starting to get into the franchise or people who don't play games lol, but like a lot of people who spent any kind of time and care into the lore of the games, I hated it right about at the beginning of the movie with my friend who came with to watch it with me. Now, it's one of those movies nobody wants to talk about lol.
Lol w/ that elephant in the room joke-- but seriously though Last Action Hero is a good movie. Also Richard Garriott seems like a super cool guy, I recently saw a Super Bunnyhop interview with him that I quite liked.
I totally agree with Spoony on the point of games or movies are too important to mess up sometimes. Like the ending of Mass Effect. I'm surrounded by non-gamers so almost no one I talk with gets why that pissed me off so much. I keep trying to explain it too, that it's not just screwing up one game, oh well. It's screwing up hours and hours of play, an entire universe that was so unique it was like another star trek without taking from it, and up until the last 10 minutes the entire thing was written very intelligently. Then they take a character who has survived suicide missions from the start of the game (and even in their back story if you choose it), actually died and came back, then you get handcuffed into choosing one of three variations of the same ending. Or GTA5 with the torture scene. Let's face it, it wasnt that shocking. It was clearly put in there to piss off the anti-violence crowd and they were smart enough not to take the bait. The problems I have with it is that there is no reason to torture the guy (He's actively cooperating??), FIB sucks so harshly at their job that they get a bunch of retired bank robbers to 86 a guy based off of vague descriptions, and to unlock 100% for the mission you have to play dumb and use all the tools as he begs you to stop in probably the whiniest way possible. Oh yeah and while I'm on it, where's my damn heists???
Ya know, Im fine with this video, its a perfectly fine interview! However, I thought Rob said that they did an interview with Dante Bosco.. Then a few weeks later we get an interview with... Spoony? Wheres the Shut Up And Talk with Dante Bosco? o.e This bugs me..
.*Doug, you must light yourself from behind in this situation* Don't forget the three point illumination technique, if you add a light between the background and you towards yourself, you'll detach your silhouette instead of blending in
Stories ARE important. I mean logically it seems ridiculous but psychologically they have a massive effect on people and even if the story happens to be fictional the effect is still very real.
Glad to see you guys, you both be appearing to be doing well, and that's good. How goes your movie project Spoony ? *About Ultima :* To a lesser extent, felt the same way about the Ultima Series myself. I am more angry at the fact that no matter how they try, we always get crap games out of the franchise. I mean, if anything else, do like Square Enix ans remake the old games with better dialogues, better 2d graphics, less clumsy interface. No need to change the story at all. But nope, either crap (U4E ? **lol**) or nothing at all. If they feel Ultima can't appeal to the kind of mass they need, then let Richard Garriott re-purchase the franchise and be done with it, the same with Wing Commander and Chris Roberts. I get the fact you don't want to make these games anymore (or make them properly). Just sell the rights then, no shame. On the other hand, I rather liked Ultima8, but only because I took the time to read all the in-game lore (and there's quite a lot), and I don't mind the inventory management that drives people mad. There was however nothing to do about U9... Buggy as hell, **NO** replay value whatsoever as it's hard-coded on rails with a tiny world and no exploration/easter eggs. U3-4-5-6 should be remade with a modern, 64bits Ultima7p2 engine, allow dual weilding and odd equipment choice for lolz and you've got a really good 4-games collection to sell. U8 should be remade completely, and definitely so should be U9. About Richard Garriott, This guy is the perfect candidate either as a DM or as a player for good old Dungeons and Dragons/Gurps campaings, you're right in calling him "The King of Nerds" in one of your reviews Spoony. He's friend material for nerds all around. Not so sure how I feel about Shroud of the Avatar although I did invest some money to the game... but keeping my thoughts until I am playing the final product. I hope the solo campaign will be on par with the Ultima3 thru 7p2 way of doing... a tough order to fill, but if anyone can do it, it's RG.
I agree with Spoony, Last Action hero is actually a good movie... Charles Dance is one of the best villains ever, imagine that, a villain who is smarter than any other character in the film, finding out he can travel from the world of movies to the real world, where evil can win...and he can bring any villain, monster, and or henchmen he wants from any film into that reality with him... the scene where he wants to test the police response time and or his monologue about inviting the greatest film villains ever to a party, with Hannibal lector, king kong, adolf Hitler, etc. etc. just chilling scenes man, well done, well acted', Charles dance is one of the best actors i have ever seen, who never seems to get the credit he deserves (until game of thrones).
Spoony has left us all behind... seems like his girlfriend appeared and his greatness disappeared. Im so hurt spoony, I miss you bud. But im so mad... you havent even called wtf
Why does Noah Antwiler go to extreme levels and even way far past even that to block all comments even likes and dislikes? You can not even say if you like a review he does let alone comment to it are even talk on it.
+Weeaboocrusher I disagree with that second point. He doesn't HAVE to keep making reviews specifically if he doesn't want to. People move on. You also lost me at "faggot". Other than that, yes, he should be more respectful and open to criticism.
Never liked FFVIII. I remember trying very hard to enjoy it when it came out, but to no avail. Luckily, not long after it's release I discovered emulators and got to expirience the previous titles, mainly IV, V and VI, which were at the time never been released in my neck of the world, so I learned that VII was not the only highlight of the series. FFX is a fun game since it has maybe the best battle system in the series and Auron (nuff said), but already as a kid, I too hated Tidus and blitzball.
Honestly, I kind of like the "We need to talk about the problem... *insert silly subject*" joke. I may be a cynical so and so 99% of the time, but I'd like to at least hope that the reason Channel Awesome people keep showing up in Noah's work, and vice versa is that in the end they still like eachother. Not just because Spoony still has view boosting brand recognition, whether through a popularity or internet drama basis.
It’s true…Positive reviews about good things are just plain boring, with the exception of a positive review of a so-bad-it’s-good/funny movie/game/comic. Then again, you may just have an unpopular opinion about whether something is bad or good & only want to hear the opinion of someone whom agrees with you. They say that psychologically humans tend to focus on negativity, get pumped up by negativity, & remember negativity, while positive things are calming & forgettable.
For everyone complaining about the big elephant in the room bit not getting talked about I just thought you should know, Pacific Rim is fucking awesome. There.
Ah yes, Garriott Gobblecocks as another fun critic ever so wonderfully put it. In all honesty though, aside from the Lord Brittish bit I feel somewhat at kin with Mr. Garriott... We're both named Richard and if I ever had that kind of money I'd totally set up a LARP/Geo site with quests...
Comedy comes from pathos, so negative reviews will always have a higher laugh ceiling than positive ones. But it's more than that. Even straightforward critics tend to draw more attention with negative reviews than positive ones--that's why it's become both the backbone and the stereotype that critics are all ruthless. It's what people enjoy. Hell, Jay Sherman as The Critic was character completely lampooning that very premise--often in a very negative light, too, thus creating a meta concept in this whole comedy/pathos/criticism delta.
So I work as a cashier at Kroger, and I like to try and have conversations with customers while checking out their groceries. It helps pass the time, keeps me positive, and it's always nice seeing the customer look up and smile and tell me how their day was or what they have planned. One day, a mom walked in with their little kid, I'd guess about 8, and I asked what she had planned for the night, and she said they were going to watch a movie her son picked. I asked which one, and the boy said, "The new Transformers movie, with the dinosaurs!" Since I never want to force my opinion onto anyone or sound rude or anything, I simply said, "I heard that that's the worst one." And the kid said, "NO! It's the BEST one!" One of a number of times I've wanted to strangle a little kid for not knowing better :/
I used to watch Spoony all the time, especially his Highlander and Swat (PC game) reviews. I just stopped, like cold turkey. then that whole fiasco with that other critic went down..
same. I liked Spoony in the old days but he completely went of the rails. Now he just seems to to freeload on his old fans goodwill while doing absolutely shit while not accepting any criticism on this behaviour. .
+ElBribri he said some shit to a girl reviewer (who wasn't funny or good) and then left channel awesome to do his solo stuff. He kept doing stuff but it just isn't as funny or as good as before. idk I remember watching him in 2011 through 2013 and now it's just like a favorite band putting out a new album, you hear the same sound, same vocals but there's just something missing. I'm surprised I'm even leaving this long of a comment. I really did enjoy Spoony, I still watch some of his videos.
*in Tourettes Guy voice* Don't talk shit about FF 13! It did suck at the beginning but as the series went on it got better and it experimented on new ways of gaming I believe. It was hard to love some of the characters admittedly, and the first game was so linear which sucked, but I had fun playing them anyways.
the thing Spoony describes about the paladin is actually one of the reasons why Raiden from MGS2 exists.
The rise and fall of Noah Antwiler, it's such a shame the bloke was so entertaining, he's kinda destroyed his own career.
Kinda??

I'd love to see Spoony review some bad movies again. I'm getting sick of his Wrestle vids.
+GunvorPlays Honestly he seems like he';s changed. When was the last time he put out a real spoony video again?
I like Wrestle Wrestle

I always liked linkara, snob, spoonh and the critic but after the whole spoony ordiel i liked them even more, they all stood by their friend
When he joked about raping an 18 year old directly to her? 😂
I'm with Spoony on the controversial split, Doug was totally out of line. The Last Action Hero is an amazing film!
P.S. I'm glad Richard Garriott lived up to expectation, that's an incredibly rare thing.
I wouldn't call it amazing film, that's definitely a stretch, but I do enjoy it. Funny, someone mentioned what to rate it on an IMDb board.

Spoony is the best reviewer/critic online imho.

He's gone to shit, sadly.
Sarkis Samuel What's genius about Spoony?
Sarkis Samuel And the dumbest quote of 2016 goes to...
Diego Gatjens I just think it's an interesting subject. Spoony used to be so popular and he's fallen so far with his neurotic tendencies and conning people out of money that you just kind of have to stop and marvel. No one's gone to shit as much as Spoony has.
@@DarthRushy quit talking out of your a$$
I miss Spoony doing actual reviews.
I wish he would just turn the comments back on and start making videos like he used to. Well, maybe some day.. =(
It may be 5 years later now but he's still alive and occasionally functional. It could still happen and I hope every day to see a scripted video.
God damn, Spoony is on the verge of tears throughout this entire interview. Shows to me how humbled he is by this road to success he's had. Makes me love the guy that much more (as if that were possible!).
*****
This road to success?
If one day his website actually makes enough money, so it can stand on its own legs financially, without him having to rely on Patreon, then we can talk about success.
The same goes for Channel Awesome.
Hugo Brömme He made his hobby, his job. Fuck off.

Congratz for being an ignorant fantwat. I could talk to you for hours... but I won't, because you're obviously not worth my time.

I can feel it lads
@@Elyndyr I love just how wrong you were 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why did he close the comments in his site and in his youtube channel?
BlackPeppe I think maybe he knows he reacts badly to bad feedback so he's done it to avoid lashing out again.
***** Or possibly because a thin skinned asshole who doesn't want to hear the legitimate criticisms of his scam of a Patreon campaign
jakerockznoodles could be that too.
He closed it because people were repeatedly bashing him,a lot of people are assholes on the internet,I don't hate Spoony, but I'd be lying if I said the dude sometimes can't handle bad opinions towards him
I never realized the hole in my life left by Spoony's self-induced exile. I don't give a shit about his personal life. Please come back.
I love the intro to this show, Doug with the gun is so funny. The juxtaposition of the picture and the jazz music is really spot on. Great interview.
RIP Spoony 2007-2014
FF 8: I agree i thought it was dissapointing
FF10: It has it's flaws but i still enjoyed it gameplay wise( got the HD collection)
FF 13 ....... well at least it has great music
Any thoughts about FF7, FF9, FF10 - 2, FF11, FF12, FF13 - 2 - Lightning Returns, FF14?
Tony Davis
FF 7: It's great though the materia is bit of a hassle to keep up with
FF9: currently playing it. pretty good so far
FF 10-2: as much I don't want to be bothered I might End up playing it anyway just to get it over with. besides I have unfinished buisness with that game anyway
FF 11: never played it
FF 13-2 To be honest it's probly the best of the 13 series though the ending sucked ass
Lightning returns: won't even bother
FF 14: Never played it
SuperFusionAJ93 Sorry to ask upon FF11 and 14 because those are MMO's, although I may have heard FF11 having a launch failure at the time.
I actually liked FF10, in a small teaspoons sort of way... but yeah, still sucks, I'm interested in FF9: Only for Freya though, but that seems unfair for the other characters.
+SuperFusionAJ93
FF13 was far more well received than FF8. Why do you think FF13-2 and LR were a thing?
Also, his "Everybody hated FF13" argument does not stand when that happened.
Ffs 10 is pretty great
Elephant in the Room, huh? Yeah, sure...
Because interviewing a *FORMER* host at Channel Awesome who got literally got *KICKED OUT* due to some *UNKNOWN* issues and troubles with some of the female members of the site isn't "elephant-in-the-room-ish" enough ¬_¬;
Spoony "never came back" to CA, even To Boldly Flee took a crack at that at the end.
***** Alright... cool... thanks for the explanation... because I lost track of everything related to his departure.
***** If you can't make sex jokes with your so called 'friends' then they aren't real friends anyway.
Come back and do review sspooooony
And we cant forget his riff series with phantamagoria and ripper some of the best out of there. You know what I really like about spoony? Is his MST3000 vibe. We need to bring that back.
Nothing is ailing him except laziness. Even his girlfriend has said that he does nothing.
DarthRushy Then he needs to tell his psychiatrist that he needs some adderall or vyvanse. Or move back out to arizona and smoke some legal herb.
Problem solved.
Bushiey Yeah, but that would require him to get out of bed.
DarthRushy THEN FUCK ILL BRING HIM A ADDERALL OR VYVANSE SINCE IM PRESCRIBE, AND AN EIGTH. BAM

Yeah, I don't get what the fuck is Doug's deal with Last Action Hero either.
At the end his review wasn't really funny as it was confusing over how he could miss the point by that much.
spoony has the most personality of channel awesome , when he was a part of it, he should have been way more successful then he is
to be successfull (legitimatly, i mean) you need to work... he forget that last 2 years :/
Shame he doesn't allow people to comment on his videos...I miss the interactivity. UA-cam livestreams just aren't the same.
no, Patreon is a deal. you put NEW CONTENT you get your money. it's like if i worked for a company 10 years ago, doing great stuff, and now 10 years later still counting on my revenue from this company... i don't argue about all the work he as already done, and all the money he already get. but if he decides to go let the depression rule his life, and stopping plain and simply his old content, the money he gain should be consequential.
I realy miss this guy...
dat hair!! DAT SPOONY hair
never cut it!..ok trim every so often but never cut it!!!!
I'm hoping he grows it longer.

Wonder what Noah's up to now?
Oh, right. Getting evicted, alone and back living with his parents at 40.
Spoony and Pat from Super Best Friends need to get together. I would pay money to see them sit in a room and just talk.
Why is Spoony face so red in this interview??
He had just huffed some paint before the interview. Jk.
I dunno why, but doug's reaction at 8:46 is so damn funny to me. It's like a half smile, half not-amused grimace.
Is it possible to read his Phantom Menace review somewhere?
Spoony is the man!
***** You know it! xD
Wait, he got ko'd twice? I knew he got knocked out on the set of the first aniversary special, where angry joe grabbed his hand and ended up cranking him over the head several times. What was the second time?
Pacific Rim cured polio.
This is literally the funniest UA-cam comment I've seen ever.
Fuck I miss spoony experiment content.
Hey Spoony! Your movie should be a medieval comedy filmed at Garriot's place! He could even be in it.
ok i now see why spoony turns off comments.
I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF AT THE BEGINNING
Spoony still defrauding people on patreon. Giving no content, taking the cash and running off with it. All the while laughing at the people that still care about him
My friend Rob and I kinda do it for Wolverine, because I thought it was okay for a product that was forced onto the production staff, and he has about the same reaction as Captain Logan from Geekvolution.
Too bad he never followed his own advice.
While I don't always agree with these two about movies, I can't deny that they are very passionate about films and I love these two as entertainers and critics and showing me obscure stuff I've never heard of before.
I cant find the written reviews for the Phantom Menace.
this is great stuff critic
Spoony's pretty drunk in this. It really explains how he was able to claim any pride in working on one of those objectively atrocious anniversary specials.
I saw Star Wars episode 1 in the movie theatre when I was in airborne school in the army and I honestly can say I fell asleep halfway through the movie.
I want Richard Garriott to direct the next Final Fantasy game.
LMFAO! One of the best comments I've read on the internet all week!
Spoony, if you were going to stop making reviews and produced content, that's fine. I just wish you had said goodbye.
+The Killjoy He's around, he's working on a new review right now !
If you check his twitter and go down, you'll see his updates and if your a patreon he'll update you on the reviews he's making a new Black hole of board games and he's dong Rap Rat
+Walker Studios Okay, if you say so.
Unless of course he becomes conveniently ill or his computer plays up again. xD
Maybe Spoony will come back if we spoon with him.
ALL HAIL AND LONG LIVE THE SPOONY ONE!!
Richard Garriott seems to take the term "Man Child" to a whole new level
+magnum1165 He's been in space, have you?
BEST SUaT EVA!!!
Seriously loving it :)
If I were alive in the 80's after 1983 at least & you told Me the next Star Wars movie was gonna be bad, I'd be like- "You might be right."
Obviously, be warned it's lengthy but I really want to let it out also it's just my opinion.)
I know a lot of people are going to either laugh or castrate me for saying this but, actually, I was a huge fan of Final Fantasy VII when it came out even from the demo before it came out.
If you say spoony three times in front of the mirror he appears and spoons you.
Pay him and forgive his sins.
Now i want see Noah old review star wars movie
Ya know, Im fine with this video, its a perfectly fine interview! However, I thought Rob said that they did an interview with Dante Bosco.. Then a few weeks later we get an interview with... Spoony? Wheres the Shut Up And Talk with Dante Bosco? o.e This bugs me..
.*Doug, you must light yourself from behind in this situation*
Don't forget the three point illumination technique, if you add a light between the background and you towards yourself, you'll detach your silhouette instead of blending in
Stories ARE important. I mean logically it seems ridiculous but psychologically they have a massive effect on people and even if the story happens to be fictional the effect is still very real.

How goes your movie project Spoony ?
*About Ultima :*
To a lesser extent, felt the same way about the Ultima Series myself.
Charles Dance is one of the best villains ever, imagine that,
a villain who is smarter than any other character in the film, finding out he can travel from the world of movies to the real world, where evil can win...and he can bring any villain, monster, and or henchmen he wants from any film into that reality with him...
the scene where he wants to test the police response time and or his monologue about inviting the greatest film villains ever to a party, with Hannibal lector, king kong, adolf Hitler, etc. etc.
just chilling scenes man, well done, well acted', Charles dance is one of the best actors i have ever seen, who never seems to get the credit he deserves (until game of thrones).
Back when spoony actually did something other than cry on twitter.
*Doug Walker doesn't think cancer can be physical and put on a truck*

Get Noah back on CA already. JesuOtaku isn't even around anymore...
Hope u get back on spoony.
Last action hero is awesome
Spoony has left us all behind... seems like his girlfriend appeared and his greatness disappeared. Im so hurt spoony, I miss you bud. But im so mad... you havent even called wtf
Why does Noah Antwiler go to extreme levels and even way far past even that to block all comments even likes and dislikes? You can not even say if you like a review he does let alone comment to it are even talk on it.
+Michelle L So that is why he does block everyone because of his first reviews and some did not like?
I love this so much Doug!
This is so interesting but god damn that audio :(
It’s true…Positive reviews about good things are just plain boring, with the exception of a positive review of a so-bad-it’s-good/funny movie/game/comic. Then again, you may just have an unpopular opinion about whether something is bad or good & only want to hear the opinion of someone whom agrees with you.
They say that psychologically humans tend to focus on negativity, get pumped up by negativity, & remember negativity, while positive things are calming & forgettable.
So, is there a reason everyone hates Matthew Broderick? I have not been able to find a single positive statement about him
It not that we hate him, he's just an easy target 😁
He's adorable, like a little golden retriever puppy.
Oh I got to see this, there must be a ton of awkwarness here, either from the questions or from the elephant in the room.
Yeah. Last Action Hero just drives people apart
Charles Dance has actually appeared in drag in Ali G Indahouse oddly enough
I am sorry but WHERE IS THE SHUT UP AND TALK WITH DANTE BASCO?????
nothing against Spoony but you promised us that ;_; we want Dante Basco
I think he takes a while to edit them because he's usually quite busy. Don't worry, I'm sure it's coming D:
Becky A And I think they only come up once a month.
For everyone complaining about the big elephant in the room bit not getting talked about I just thought you should know, Pacific Rim is fucking awesome. There.
Noah _was_ great back in the mid 2000's. Now he's nothing but a scam on the scam site Patreon.
Did Noah fart on the 1:18 mark? :D
Damn....Spoony, had I known, I would have joined you to riff bad movies with you!! D8
It's the BEST one!"
One of a number of times I've wanted to strangle a little kid for not knowing better :/
DANCE PUPPETS DANCE!!!!!
Spoony should go back with doug... the spoony movie is kiiling him...
I used to watch Spoony all the time, especially his Highlander and Swat (PC game) reviews. I just stopped, like cold turkey. then that whole fiasco with that other critic went down..
same. I liked Spoony in the old days but he completely went of the rails. Now he just seems to to freeload on his old fans goodwill while doing absolutely shit while not accepting any criticism on this behaviour. .
what fiasco? recently i hear people shitting of Spoony, but he does (did ) great videos
+Eener1000 yeah he gets super butt hurt when anyone tells him to mellow out or not be a dick
I really did enjoy Spoony, I still watch some of his videos.
well most of his videos are really fun, tahts why i subscribed to him
Audio is really messed up :S
*in Tourettes Guy voice* Don't talk shit about FF 13! It did suck at the beginning but as the series went on it got better and it experimented on new ways of gaming I believe. It was hard to love some of the characters admittedly, and the first game was so linear which sucked, but I had fun playing them anyways.
Epic TrololoGuy FF 13 it's more like FF hallway simulator
I got angry over Shadow of Revan for cruding all over Revan's character.
