Lewis, if you ever see this, I applaud you. That ending made me literally clap by myself to my computer. You're the main reason I picked up a stray issue of Venom on Free Comic Day 2 years ago, and why I'm buried in comics today. I also hope to publish some comics as well, and if they're so bad that you have to review them, it'd be an honor, Good Sir. :)
The response that Linkara gave to the last question put a huge smile on my face. I absolutely loved this video! Thanks linkara for getting me into superhero comics and always making my day! All of us fans love you so much!!
Great interview. Better than some actual professional interviews on television. Asking the right questions fans would actually care about while letting the person speak uninterrupted.
I find it interesting how Doug dubbed Lupa and Phelous as "his friends", with the word "his" referring to Linkara. I know that they don't work together anymore, but I presumed that they were still friends, since Spoony sorted his issues out with everyone. ...OR I could just be overthinking a simple choice of words. That is the more likely reality.
This guy is awesome, the stuff he does is way more interesting than I thought. Also awesome to see someone who is white and male admit that things are WAY too biased towards white males, and not make a big deal out of it. Just stating the facts, even though most of the internet/society clearly doesn't wanna hear it.
Awesome episode. Glad I caught it before passing out... at ten thirty am, lol. I do hope to see more of the narrative, my wife and I really enjoy those.
Lovhaug's Shut Up and Talk Gaiden. Synopsis: The game you're about to play is canon. The year is 2053; social justice is dead. Lewis Lovhaug, one of the last remaining social justice warriors, lives in the post-cyberpocalyptic ruins of Neo-Chicago with his BFF Anita and daughter Harley-Quinn. ...fuck I'm tired. Someone finish the plot.
People found a way to split, and clone Doug Walker, and nostalgia critic, and now there are two wars going on. Nazi nostalgia critics, vs robot nostalgia critics, as Doug Walker stands on the sidelines screaming.
He mentions it in this video but he says that 'England has 2000AD', but its contributors are from all over the UK, and beyond. I think the guy who designed Judge Dredd was Spanish. I'm saying this as an English person, I just don't think its fair to think of the UK as just England, just because it is the most highly populated country in the union.
Some people don't know that UK is more than England. In fact, many people don't know. Too many. But it can be confusing to figure out which is which for someone not familiar with the UK.
Internet solves this problem. Luckily its not as up for debate as most things seem to be on forums. While Scotland and Wales generally conform to the idea that they would not like to be part of the Union even the most ardent nationalist does at least begrudgingly admit that they are both currently part of it... as is Northern Ireland. Its when you start talking about the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands that it all starts to get confusing.
It's funny he almost said "My Little Petshop" when talking about his cameos, seeing as both the Littlest Petshop and My Little Pony comics (both of which have been very well recieved by fans and critics alike) were published by the same distributor, IDW Publishing, and some of the creative team do cross over between the two comics (Like the main artist from one might to a cover image for the other or something like that). But yeah, the cameos were pretty awesome, and given how much the artists for the My Little Pony comics love doing little background gags and pop-culture references, and given how internet-savvy they are, I'm surprised there hasn't been a cameo in any of the MLP comics yet.
He's a bit hard to do as a pony; nothing special except for the gun and the hat (no beard, no glasses or anything like that). And maybe a comic-related cutie mark, but that usually doesn't stand out much in the background.
Power Rangers is not a Super Sentai series. Tasdingo Moonquish Yeah, still have no idea where the hell that person came from, since no outside help was hired during the filming of Kickassia, sooo yeah, story's bullcrap. XD
I've noticed a trend with guys like Linkara. Back in the mid 00s, guys like this were all edgy badasses who had the balls to shit all over bad things! But then when Tumblr's "social justice" crap caught on, they all jumped ship and suddenly became "enlightened". It seems like these guys sold out, but I've come to realize that's not the case because they were always snivelling, spineless, insecure little shitbirds that pandered to whatever was popular. I mean, what risks were these guys ever taking by aiming at the easiest targets and reaching for the lowest-hanging fruit? What, some no talent hack is going to get angry at them? They were "edgy", but in the safe way. They were- and still are- "edgy" in a way that embraces popular opinion instead of challenging it. They take a stand against what's unpopular, and the unpopular people get angry, and everyone laughs at them because they're unpopular and thus have less value as human beings, and we're all supposed to pretend that's provocative and rebellious. It's especially stupid that we're supposed to think there's anything rebellious about political correctness or that your opinions and beliefs just so happen- by sheer coincidence- to be the exactly same as whatever's popular at the time. And don't think this crap is limited to just SJWs. GamerGate nowadays is 5% whiners bitching about the mere existence of Gone Home and 95% assholes pandering to them to get money or push their own political agenda. There are no good guys or bad guys. Just suckers and scammers who pander to suckers.
And it'll only get worse. UA-cam no longer is a platform where people can say whatever they want the way they want. UA-cam (and Google) itself tends to follow a regressive left agenda. These people don't use UA-cam as a platform anymore, they work for it as they are paid by UA-cam to do so. What the boss says has to be followed. People that don't depend on UA-cam or use UA-cam as a supplementary form of income tend to be more expressive in that regard. Being a UA-camr can be the best thing and the worst thing at the same time.
I have no idea what the ''key words" of SJW movements are. It is also possible that he just happens to have an opinion which he is willing to express. Some people actually do that.

It doesn't matter what you believe in. Your ''morals'' and your ''principles?'' All of them are meaningless in the grand scheme of things. In the end the guy you hate will always win and I wouldn't have it any other way.
+Arthur Hakhverdian Ohhh nooo, a guy who makes his living through 30-second adverts on his videos that he puts days of hard work into producing, actually wants to earn some money from ad revenue so he can live! The fucking horror...
+Michael Welsh (Femoman) Clearly you're missing the context, Michael. The issue has nothing whatsoever to do with a guy making a buck on UA-cam through ads. More power to him. That itself was not what he was called out on. The problem is that he essentially expressed that as long as *he* gets paid for having the ads, he doesn't give a rats ass whether the advertisers and the platform, who pay good money for the placement of the ads, actually see them delivered to his audiences.

Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall Hey linkara since you,ve reviewed Holy Terror and are starting to think it,s worse than the image comic you don,t even want to mention does this mean later on we might get a review of that comic as well? some of my favorite review,s you,ve done have been the warrior reviews because you still found a way to make fun of the comic even though it was just the incoherent ramblings of an insane wrestler, and I wonder if this mystery image comic could be anything like that.

Based on the meaning of Lewis name, I started writing a fantasy story titled "The Warrior on the Hill of Leaves" :D
That sounds really cool actually. Somewhat pretentious but awesome
Bondfall 007
Yeah, well its not like I expect it to become a bestseller. :D Its just fun to write.
22:56 I like that drawing of him, it's like if Linkara had a cameo on The Critic.

Awesome episode. Glad I caught it before passing out... at ten thirty am, lol. I do hope to see more of the narrative, my wife and I really enjoy those.
I'm seeing a lot of hate comments for Atop The Fourth Wall. Good god, the Internet sucks
No it doesn't. Certain users on the Internet suck, the net itself is unnable to suck.
+The Pandora Guy well the charts says
StopMotion Maniac
The charts said what?
I think I prefer "Warrior ATOP the Hill of Leaves". XD
sounds like a Naruto episode
webkilla OMG, it totally does! XD

I really do love these interviews. I hope you guys keep doing them and maybe interview some other web show / content creators.
Why did Lewis do this without his hat?
It’s the source of his power!
I would like to specify that the UK has 2000AD, England is not the only contributer to comics in the UK, not by a long shot.
did the Beano start in Scotland or something? I know Scotland has made quite a few contributions to comics over the years.
randomsamno9 He actually did mention 2000AD in a video from last year.

I never thought Linkara as a SJW, but now i confirmented he is a SJW.
I've interacted on twitter a few times and linkara is cool as hell.
lewis is dating again that's awesome. wonder what she's like (for some reason i'm thinking down to earth type).
But I thought he was married to that strange looking blond chick?
I really like the ending quote so much
JesuOtaku next!!
Hope has been busy lately. Her productivity has really slowed anyway
I think his next one is going to be Dante Basco.
I'd love to see one with Phelous.
Gasoline85 I have to wonder what Phelous is really like OUTSIDE of his character.
Me too. We practically never see him not in-character.
loved this talk.
Nice, I love that guy!!
This was just awesome
When's the next episode of Voltage Vengers?
So apparently what I'm hearing about this ad gate with linkara....why were you angry with him?
This makes me love Lewis more.
Kayla Levay Kayla? I didn't know you were a Linkara fan

I love the Pop Up Video feel to this...
Just to say, I really freaking respect Lewis. Really cool Shut Up and Talk.
Great Interview!!
gunslinger is not linkara's song
The song IS called "The Gunslinger Theme," though.
Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall i goggled The Gunslinger Theme and something different (and not as good as your theme) played
Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall oh crud, i missed the word "the"
anyways, regardless, i still love the theme. I sing it... pretty much every week.
Twohundredthousand dollars.
Two.
Hundred.
THOUSAND.
What the fuck doug.
It's a lot of fun seeing a lot of these people I'm a fan of being more personable. Reminds you that they're just as human as anyone else.
31:29 So wait. WE'RE Linkara's bosses?!! Well in that case, I'm sorry to say this Linkara, but we're going to have to cut down your pay. :P
You mean adblock? :c
Wow! Looking good! I bet this cost, like, 200k to make! Woah!
The SC Justice was Lewis Powell, presumably.
linkara's redesigned out fit is grate but the jeans clash with the color scheme stick with the brown pants and i wish he would wear the coat more often
I like this show.... Keep it up
Now we just need an interview with the Blockbuster Buster, and my life will be complete. B-)
Wow, Lewis really "owned" this episode. By that I mean that Doug didn't need to much at all to this.
GOD, thank you Linkara for your comments on Frank Miller. Ugh.
At first I thought he was doing a character but hell, I never seen the 'real' lewis. Cool!
You've played her twice on Nostalgia Critic, so maybe as just a NC character and not an AT4W character?
"I'll call other artists idiots because they should know better." Oh Lewis, even the worst comics you've reviewed are more interesting than The Lightbringer or Atop the Fourth Wall: The Movie.
Love AT4P. Keep it up Lewis!
Evan Stanley is BETTER than me. Better trained, better equipped, better... better. Just better.
The 2 of these guys seem like great close friends
Is Lewis taller than Doug? Or is there something I'm missing that just makes Lewis look taller?
Lewis is quite tall: 6'1" I believe
Actually Doug Walker is taller than Lewis he's 6.3 while Lewis is 6.1.
briansivley2001 Did I say Lewis was taller than Doug? I just pointed out his height =]
Derek Power Brian never said you were saying Lewis is the taller one. In fact, he didn't even reply to you, since he didn't tag you in the message.
Those hacks from RLM could learn a thing or two from this on how to properly realize interviews.
I'm starting to come around to Linkara, and even at some points, Noah
I don't care if he made a rape joke or not, I care about his videos being pretty boring
And Lewis seems like a pretty funny guy, and not that far off from the Linkara character.
I enjoy Spoony and Linkara cameos a lot though
I've never been to New York.
instead of leaf hill, he should tell people it means lethal.
But that doesn't make sense. "Warrior on top of lethal?"
...i was making a joke. since he got picked on in school, he should have said lethal to kind of strike fear. Yes it was a dumb joke, but its still not supposed to make sense.
That's an awesome intro, I just realised.
Hope to see one for Dante Basco.
Still waiting for HOTP
Released one last month, next one coming at Christmas.
Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall really? I haven't been on the site in while.
***** Yep. It was Operation Overdrive. Overall: He didn't like. Next one is Jungle Fury.
DeathGodRiku I think "didn't like" is a tad of an understatement lol
Next one is in December dont you worry.
Interview Phelous next
I don't think Phelous has been to the studio yet
You can clearly tell when someone is only doing it for the money when they call their work a product. This is manufacturer's mentality.
Oh for sure.

Lewis sounds alot like a young John Goodman in this interview. Not sure how I should feel about that at this time...
This starts off sounding like satire but I know allot of this is true...

cjermevpg
Look at his words. He's using all the "key words" of SJW movements in the context that they use those words.
I have no idea what the ''key words" of SJW movements are. It is also possible that he just happens to have an opinion which he is willing to express. Some people actually do that.
Huh, Lewis must be much taller than I thought...
Yes keep it up

If you are doing it to make people happy, why were you complaining about people using Ad Block?
Because he has to stay alive
So i take it, whatever your job is, you do it for free and rely on the goodwill of strangers to give you rent-money?
But making something uncomfortable for your customers so you can get money is better?
Schean Sagawa Well, then it's ironic that the majority of his fan-base didn't see it that way yes? Haha. Idiot.
@Six Paths Naruto Then get a job and stop relying on UA-cam ad revenue.

Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall Did it happen to be a series entitled"Angel Armor"? Cause thats what I found on Amazon. :)
