Overall, "94% of People Would Call a Plumber. !! But you can do it yourself!!" stands out as an exceptional video due to its ability to inspire confidence in viewers' abilities and provide them with practical guidance for solving common plumbing problems independently. This valuable knowledge should be shared widely so that more people can feel empowered when faced with
It is recommended that the drain is blocked before the first screw is removed.
And maybe use some grease on metal-metal screw threads... (It was way too easy to unscrew ;-)
Yes !! that´s a great advice !!
You know my luck!
I was going to say the same.
Bravo majstore i hvala !
Okay, you brought down the number of people that will call a plumber to 90%.
😀😀
This will happen when about 3 billion people have watched this.
Excellent guidance. But I'll have my phone on a stand to start shooting a video BEFORE I dismantle the unit. That way I'll know how to reverse and put it back. All makes and models are not the same. Better be safe than sorry. Appreciated from Australia.
Yes good advice ! Thx for watching from Australia !

I have a similar mixer. This was very helpful. Thanks for the demonstration.
Ps: silicone oil may be a problem to obtain.
Glad it eas helpful ! , you may use cooking oil instead.
Good work.hakim from libya
Thanks for watching from Libia !.
Good Job man :). Greetings from Czechoslowakia :).
Thanks for watching from Czechoslowakia !
Nice video. I'm happy to see that in your country, water hardness is very low. In mine, if I did what you did, I must have soaked it inlimestone remover an white vinegar at least for 1 full day.
Thanks for watching !
Very good demonstration but can everyone remember how to put those pieces back together again in the right order - probably best make a drawing showing which colour goes in which hole !
I find taking a picture on your phone is easier for reassembly of complex components ;-)

A useful video - thanks!
All these small things like things that creak, squeak, scrape or don't move well make a big difference in the quality feel of a home - and it is too often overlooked, or people are scared to try fixing it.
Many of these things can work like new again with just disassembly, cleaning and correct lubrication. And if you are scared that you won't know how to put it together again - just take a bunch of pictures while disassembling. That way you can do it in reverse if you get stuck somewhere.
Totally agree with your comment ! thanks for watching the vidfeo !
Merci 👏
3:10 I admit this is difficult, thank you for sharing so we can make it easier

Silicone grease food grade approved!!! How long does this fix last?
It’s cheaper to just buy a new cartridge!😵💫
How can it be cheaper if it doesn’t cost anything to do it yourself ???
People today are lazy and will either buy a new cartridge or complete tap. We live in a disposable society where products are meant to fail right after the warranty period then we fill up land fills with junk.
Agree ! We should repair more and buy less ! Greetings !
Who told/taught you this BS?
👍

Once upon a time, all you needed to do was change a rubber washer. Progress? I don't think so.
Yes old times easy repairs !! thx for watching !

Get yourself distilled vinegar 5% strength or higher put it in a spray bottle and once a week spray down your taps. Vinegar is a great natural descale and sanitiser.
I use it every time I want to bring back the shine to my taps.
So far I haven't had a sticking tap.
Great tip ! thank you !
What could possibly go wrong?
A good video BUT, you fitted the colour plug back the wrong way, Red started on the right, and you replaced it back on the left. I like what you have done anyhow, most plumbers cant repair, they can only replace, but that’s because of cost. I repair all my own, i get strange looks when i ask for a repair kit. Keep up the good work.
Can you suggest appropriate silicon oil please?
WD40 make a silicon based oil spray, read the labels. Though at a pinch vaseline would work.
Using a thin blade of a utility knife as a pry bar is not recommended, it could easily snap, and whoa! There goes an eye. Also plug in to the water outlet in case of dropped screws etc, and the non moving jaw of pliers should be taking the strain.
Silicone oil in potable water? I have done this myself many times but used food safe lubricant.
Yes if you can find it´s better option !
Unfortunately, one of the ceramic tiles cracked, so this work is only for demonstration purposes. It is clearly visible at 3:17. This would certainly not be well assembled.
And then the professional puts the water pump pliers on the wrong way round !!! OH LORD
🙈 die falsche Zange verwendet
Nice vid but you were using channel locks backwards are you sure you are qualified for this project?
Thanks, well turned out very good the repair so no worries 💪👌👍
I think you replaced that cartridge with a new one...
Sure it's easy if you're familiar with the work of a plumber, most people isn't😢
Aren't. Most men should be able to carry out repairs and servicing in the house and on their car, if not you haven't been paying attention when you were younger.
Meglio se si spegna l'acqua prima!!!!!!
...A dir la verità lo ha fatto... 😀

👏👏
It’s unlikely for an average person to fully take this apart then put it back together, correctly. Need to take pictures along each step of the way so you can later back track.
Yes, good idea better take pictures !! Thx for watching !
He could have just soaked the removed cartridge in descaler.
I make it 92.8765% but I suppose 94% will do!

Just buy a replacement cartridge, cheap enough.

Always put the sink/bath plug in when working on taps. Why? There is a good chance you could drop one of the screws or small fittings and it disapears down the drain.
If using one of those butchers tools like he did , or any sort of adjustable, always use it such that the weight is on the fixed jaw, he used those 'slip lock' pliers the wrong way.
A way to remove scale is to use malt vinegar, which is slightly acidic and will dissolve limescale. When refitting the element retaining nut , add some vaseline or silicon grease to the threads, this will allow it to be removed easier next time, this goes for anything threaded on any item you might be working on.
I didn't see any reason for any Audio or subtitles, it was quite straight forward without listening to someone talk who likes to hear the sound of his own voice as most U-Tubers seem to do. If you incapable of doing the repair without any other information, then don't do it.
Yes 100% agree thanks for the advice !
SE LA CAPSULA FA QUESTO SCHERZO , SI FA PRIMA A METTERNE UNA NUOVA ANCHE PER IL COSTO NON ESORBITANTE , TENUTO CONTO CHE IL PROBLEMA è ANCHE L USURA INTERNA .
Danke!
Ist mir to much. Ausbauen wegschmeißen neu machen 😅

Grazie !
I’d just buy a new cartridge
Think I’ll just call a plumber.
