Glad you liked it!!

@@TheCarefreeKitchen will these caramels melt if i Parcell these?? The delivery takes about 4 days
Hi Jill, I did make the caramels again for my family for Valentine’s Day and they were super pleased. I cut the candy into squares and rolled them in pecans. Wrapped the Carmel’s in cellophane paper and placed into a tin with hearts. Thanks again
So happy you loved them!
There is a clip on the thermometer to put it on the side of the pan so you can adjust it do not touch the bottom. I have made fudge and stuff for many years with a candy thermometer you don't just stick it in. Also I used to make the water test with ice instead of cold water
So good. I substituted the condensed milk for whole milk and it tasted great.
Oh yummy! So glad it turned out great!

I made your recipe a week ago and my family loved it. They are already asking for more, so I’ll make it for Valentine’s Day!! Thanks again!!
Hi. Did you use salted butter or unsalted? I wanted to make sure.
I used salted butter. And it turned out great.
I always thought making caramel would be “difficult”, but you have made it look very easy. Thank you SO MUCH 😊
My pleasure 😊
Thank you so MUCH! This is a wonderful recipe. I just watched this video, made a batch and my husband agrees that it's one of the best he's had. ❤️
I made these today without a candy thermometer (mine broke a few years ago). They are delicious and the nonstick pan was a great idea. Clean up was a breeze. Thanks a million, your tutorial was very helpful.
YESSSSS YUM, my first time making caramels.. YUMMY and I even put them in silicone molds.. Woo hoo, thank you for being spot on with your instructional video
You’re welcome! I’m glad you found it helpful!
Hello from Alaska. Got snowed in so decided to make these. Never have corn syrup on hand so use honey. Y2K I bought 120 #. Got a few quarts left. Any way I poured mine in silicone miniature brownie pan makes 24. Used the remaining caramel for pretzel 🥨 rods. Awesome. Your recipe is fast. Used to make this with the cream method took about 45 minutes. This is fast. Thanks for posting.
yes, this is much quicker than with cream or milk!
I can't wait to try it! I never understood what soft ball stage meant. Thanks for the demonstration 🙂
Happy to help!
I've just finished making your recipe for caramel.
It's perfect. Thank you so much ❤
Thank you!
I stayed true to your recipe Jill but added cinnamon & pecan when I added the vanilla and of course salt at the end. It smells amazing and looks good so far , we will see when it comes time for cutting in 45 mins. I’ve tried caramel before and it sucked, so hopefully hopefully it turns out it 2020 girl! I pray your family is well! Ours is and for that, we thank God! This is showing up to you on my husbands email but he is at work and it’s me Johna having fun at home!
I used this recipe to make Turtles. The part of testing with water was a great help. Delicious
I am in love with your caramel candies and your caramel sauces. Thank you Sweets! 🥰
I also only used 3/4 cup of corn syrup
Just made the first batch. Oh my! Yummy in my tummy!
The next batch will be turned into chocolate covered turtles.
As good as this is, the turtles will be heavenly!
Thanks for a great, easy to remember recipe!
Wonderful!
@@TheCarefreeKitchen I accidentally added a lot more sweetened condensed milk. Instead of 8 oz, I added the whole 14 of can.
Everything else was just one cup.
The caramels came out so creamy that those who tried them say they are the best they've ever had.
I know the way they melt is not like any I've had before.
I made these...OMG. My family and friends LOVED ♥️♥️♥️these. Best ever recipe.
Thank you so much 😃
Thank You so much for your wonderful recipe. Many of the other caramel recipes use the microwave which I never use, plus corn syrup which is not to my tastes. I was already thinking of an alternative. Can’t wait to make these. I can smell them cooking. Thank You again, Juliette
Worked first time thankyou! Clear concise cuppa cuppa cuppa Ty Ty ty
I make these. Put parshment paper down and lift them out. So much easier to slice.
Great idea!
I just tried this out... absolutely scrumptious!! Thank you much for the recipe!!
You’re welcome! So glad you like it!
Over the past few weeks, I have attempted pumpkin caramels several times, and none have been very good. So I am going to try plain caramels. Having reviewed dozens of recipes, what I find interesting is that some recipes recommend NO STIRRING, while the others recommend CONSTANT STIRRING. Go figure!
You taught this so well am tempted to try my hands on it dear. Thanks a lot for the lessons
I got a candy thermometer for Christmas and am anxious to show what I can do. I think your recipe is the place to start. Thanks, first time viewer.
Hope you enjoy
Great video- Thanks! One thing I would have liked is to see you take a bite.. this shows exactly how hard/soft they are. I personally prefer a bit harder of a chew; but I couldn't quite tell where they were just by looking at them. 🙂
Thank you for explaining what equipment you need, to make caramel, very useful If you haven't made It before. Valerie.
You are so welcome!
Hello,
Glad I found this method of making caramels. It looks easy to do and makes me want to make some soon. TY for sharing this video with us !!!
I made these yesterday and they were so good! My kids loved them. Only problem is after cutting them, they melted and pooled together over time. How do you make sure they stay into squares?
It sounds like it needs to be cooked a little longer. You can melt it down in a pan again and cook a few more minutes. The longer it's cooked, the firmer the caramel. Good luck!
Keep the thermometer tip clean between measuring temp if caramel left on from before it won't register correctly
Thanks for the tip!
Caramel recipe Hamare ko bahut pasand I very good very nice commentary bhi bahut acchi
If you try the cold water test, it’s better to take your pot off the heat as you test. Also it’s best to individually wrap the caramels as soon as they’re set , cold and cut because they’ll rapidly get impossibly sticky without wrapping. In wrappers they’ll keep far better. Tbh I’ve never had a batch of caramels last more than two days before being nommed so I know they’ll last that long at least lol.
Thanks for sharing the yummy Recipe..😋👍💖
Thanks so much for watching!
Tysm I tried 2 different recipes and both of them didn't work I was saying third time's the charm and I was right 💕💕
Great job!
I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A LITTLE SCARED ABOUT MAKING CARAMEL, BUT THAT FEELING IS NOW GONE ESPECIALLY AFTER VIEWING YOUR EXCELLENT VIDEO. YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY. THANK YOU. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE OF YOUR RECIPES.

Thanks so much! 😊
I’m less than a minute in and I’m already giving you a like and follow just for pronouncing caramel correctly! Everyone knows the second “a” is silent. 😂❤
Awesomeness!!! Great video ! I could particularly taste em. Got to try this myself!!
Im addicted to watching this
It's soooo good!
@@TheCarefreeKitchen Agreed!

Very lovely and good wrak
Thanks for the recipe
Most welcome 😊
That looks so good, but seeing as i dont have a thermometer, ill have to do the water test. I cant wait, however its 1 am right now, so ill wait until tomorrow!
The water test works great! That's what I usually use too.
Hi I love your recipe for this but must I use Brown sugar and the syrup.
Looks delicious! I am surprised how easy it is to make! Thanks so much for sharing!
Hope you enjoy
Love caramelo. Thanks
Looks like fun to make. Thanks. Love your kitchen!

Thank you Dr. Nina I love this 💕😊
I'm glad you like it
Thank you for sharing ☕🍁🍂Can you please put the resipie into gram also?
Aku sangat suka 🙏
Sweet video, thank you
Thank you so much!
It's better to clip the thermometer on the pan from the beginning and not stick it in the hot caramel, it might break.
Thanks a lot for your easy recipe.
Most welcome 😊
O yess !! What a perfect recipe it is , love from Pakistan 💖
Beautiful mixture of candy but what about Caramel flavor for the candy.
Just made the recipe. I think I messed something up because as it cooled, it crystallized. It was silky smooth but as it got to room temp, it has the sugar texture back.
Tastes great though
I’m not sure what happened. Did you use evaporated milk or sweet and condensed milk?
This probably happened because you had some sugar crystals still on the side of your pan while you were cooking. To avoid this, mix your sugars and water together, warm it a little and put a lid on it for a few minutes. The steam will wash any sugar crystals back into your mixture, then add the rest of your ingredients.
awesome
Amazing, may I please have the recipe in grams?
Could I boil only a little while and use it as caramel syrup?
yes, you bet!
if you grease that cup before filling it with corn syrup the syrup will come right out.
Yum!
Very easy to make
It really is!
Is there any reason why not use 2 cups of white sugar? Is there a particular reason to use the white and brown? Or only for color purpose?
Lovely
How fast will this set up. Could I put it in a piping bag and squeeze it onto my cookie?
i gained 10lbs just watching your video... can't wait to try it out
Hope you like it!
@@TheCarefreeKitchen we made it over the weekend and it was delicious thanks!!!
Awesome looks delicious can I use coconut sugar instead of regular sugar I'm trying to cut back & out sugar?
I’m not sure. 🤔 I haven’t ever tried that.
I have tried twice to make caramel. The recipe I used is slightly different- Evaporated milk instead of condensed. And both time the thermometer would get to the 240° but in the water test it didn’t ball up! But I panicked with not wanting to go above 240 since the recipe is was following says over 238 would result in too chewy caramels! My first batch is in jars now as sauce.... and lord knows how this batch will turn out. 😭 I don’t think I’m cut out for making caramels!
Make it with sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated milk. They’re very different. I promise it’ll work!
thank you so much. What is the effect of corn syrup. I have seen the same recipe but with 1.5 and also 1.75 cups. Thank you.
yummy!
Masha Allah.
Bataye ke aap ye kya bana rahi hain?
You tell me that after adding sugar to the caramel chocolate,
What did u put jaggery or something else?
Made this recipe today it came out awesome but it was real sticking and soft it wouldn't cut like yours did in the video what is I do wrong it keeps getting real soft after it sits out for a little bit. I have to keep refrigerating to cut and wrap. Any suggestions?
Melt and recook
We don't have corn syrup in South Africa - can you use golden syrup (sugar cane syrup)?
Right now in Dec 2021, we can't even find light karo syrup in a store. We had to go to Amazon. What's a candy thermometer? Kidding. My mother never needed one. She only used cold water for her candy.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
what to add if you want to make it as frosting on cakes
I made this tonight and it's Soo good!! The only thing is my candy thermometer broke 🤣 but I did the cold water test and I thought it was a soft ball but it's been sitting out for about 40 min .. (it's still sorta warm underneath my glass pan) but when I cut it the top is fine but the bottom looks to be just under soft ball. Can I throw it back in the pot ? If so, do I bring it to a boil again and try to get it to 240? I have a new thermometer coming tmw
U don't need to stir it if you use a heavy bottom pan
This will definitely stick to the bottom of your pan. It's sweet and will burn easily. Keep stirring. ❤️
Waoo nice 👍
Can i skip the corn syrup please answer me very soon i am excited to try this recipe🤗
The consistency wont be quite the same but it'll be close.
👍🏻
With CONSTANT stirring it's hard to get it up to temp as stirring cools the mixture
Watching this I was loosing my teeth straight away and also gaining a kilo of weight 😂
hahah!
That scared me for a sec
