I have a few questions, I will email them if I don't get a reply by the end of next week ;) Okay, so the Sync setting doesn't work well in my truck. So I have to stop it from being able to pair with my phone over and over. Sometimes this means I can't even turn the bluetooth setting on on my phone otherwise it will pair (no matter how many times I've tried to delete it from it's system). It just never works, and I can't even get the regular aux function to work because it is trying to use bluetooth and won't turn over or something. Options are radio or CD or truck/road noise. Basically all the tech stuff they put in my truck didn't work by the time I got it lol they don't even make updates etc. I can probably remove the lower Sync section with the aux and usb and just install a separate one not attached to Sync (I see the radio comes with a usb hole, does it come with it's own aux hole too?), but not sure how to remove the Microsoft Sync from the rest of my truck. If I try to use bluetooth with this radio, does it connect to Sync stuff or not? Better yet, does it remove Sync from my truck altogether?! I don't want to loose my CD player if I'm not going to be able to connect my phone up to play music etc. I would also like to be able to use my truck for calls and navigation with my phone instead of having to use wired headphones lol. Basically, is the whole radio unit workable on it's own without and separate from Sync? Do I need that microphone if my truck already has a microphone (like for talking on the phone etc)? Or will this make the old one obsolete or compete with it when I take a call?? Along the same lines, I already have a backup camera that came with it when I got it and it shows on the rearview mirror. Will that camera also connect to the radio screen or would I have to use a new one? Also, will it pair with the screen already in my truck? Like the basic one that shows the time, radio station, etc. The buttons to adjust the clock will be removed so I am wondering if the new radio will let me adjust that time section. As well as if it will show what radio station I'm listening to up there too. Or does that just become stuck where it is and be out of whack once the next daylight savings time hits? Lastly, will this radio brain/screen transfer to another truck if I get another harness and dash kit to match the new one? There is a lot wrong with my truck and not sure how many more years I will be able to keep up fixing it before it becomes not worth it. Would like the option to reinstall the old system and take it to a new one with minimal extra cost. Thanks so much and can't wait to get some goodies from y'all :)
We do not integrate with the factory Sync systems. The factory microphone will only work with the original radio and Sync, so you would need to use the included microphone with the new radio. If you have a factory camera that currently goes to the mirror, the camera will still function with the mirror. If you wish for it to be displayed on the new radio screen, that would require that the video signal be hardwired to between the mirror and the camera in the vehicle, then ran to the backup camera input on the new radio. The upper display will not display any radio information or time after the new radio is installed. It will continue to display direction of travel and exterior temp if it does that currently. The radio will work in any vehicle that will accept a Double DIN sized radio chassis, that aftermarket installation parts are available for. You would need to check if parts are available for a specific vehicle to know that fore certain.
