    I play with the Ezone 98 myself, I love this racket. I'm a big fan of Yonex rackets and their pro player ambassadors. I appreciate the nuances you bring in your comparison with the Wilson Pro Staff, at the end it's all about personal impressions and perception.

    The Tennis Dream,great review,,and I'm wondering how this racquet would play at say a XL version of itself, it probably 27 standard now,how about stretching it to say 27.5,yes it would change the swing weight,but many pros now playing with 27.5 XL models,,and an easy way of adding just half an inch would be to remove factory butt cap and installing the XTP Xtended Tennis butt cap,it simply adds half an inch to any racquet..thanks for the great review.T.john

    Great review, i’m in the same boat as i’ve been using the pure aero for 6 years and recently demo’d the blade. I felt like the blade was way better. But I own 4 aeros and a bag and can’t pull myself to switch with all of the gear I already own.

    Kyrgios actually uses the Xi 98 which is the 1st generation of the ezone line, it’s a lot stiffer and plays more like a pure drive

    Very nice video bro! I was considering changing my racket this week to a Yonex ezone 98 305g. Right now I play with a babolat pure strike, I like very much, but want to generate more spin because I only play on clay

    I currently use the rf97 pro staff and was interested in trying the Yonex vcore pro 97 330. I’m curious on anyone’s comparison since the yonex is lighter. I like the pro staff for the control and plow through. I string it at 47 lbs of Weiss cannon mosquito bite. 18 gauge. Great feel from the string if anyone hasn’t tried it but durability can be lacking a little. But love the combo.

    Really like the review. I usually play on clay so I need more spin and power. Do you recommend the yonex ezone 98 to me? Thanks and always good to watch your videos

    • @thetennisdream812
      @thetennisdream812  3 роки тому

      Yes, I would recommend the Ezone if you usually play on clay because clay requires you to generate more power than when playing on a hard court. On hardcourt you could use the other players power and therefore can benefit from a racket more for control

    try the vcore man, I’m playing with the pro staff and considering the switch to the vcore because of the power and in comparison to the ezone it doesn’t numb the serve that much
    keep up the grind bro💪🏼🤙🏼

      I use the ecore 98 and know that the closest Wilson racket is the blade. For the pro staff comp I would compare to the vcore like pointed out above

  • @thewindrises
    @thewindrises 3 роки тому

    I played with the pro staff before (red+black 11.5oz), which was a control racquet so it's natural you will feel a bit less of the ball when you switch to an Ezone, which has less control, but a really nice balance between control and power/spin. I think this is a perfect racquet. Traditional control racquets (pro staff, pure strike) have good control but lack power and spin, but power/spin racquets (Pure Drive, which I'm using now) kinda have too much power/spin and sacrificed too much control and feel. A perfect racquet for me would be something in between.

    What are the strings and the kg in your ezone 98 ? It s very important

  • @tonygareth221
    @tonygareth221 3 роки тому

    I’ve used mostly Pro Staff over the years (RF heavy frame) but I’m getting older so I use the PS and not the RF. I’ve tried the Clash and it was ok but certain shots such as the slice I like the PS better. I’ve tried a couple Yonex and I do like them. I just feel like sometimes I need a little help with power because even tho u h I can hit fairly hard, it’s more difficult for me to generate power now so a higher powered racket could help so...Clash? Yonex? I might end up with the new PS but...gotta look at strings too!

      Is it the 2019 green Yonex VCORE pro 97?
      Is that Yonex VCORE pro 97 310 good in stock form or does it need lead?
      Does this Yonex have less power and more control than the Wilson pro staff?

    • @rd172
      @rd172 3 роки тому

      Bang Bang yes, the green one (but I don’t actually think that there’s any difference between the green one and the previous blue and red one in the 310g version). I find the sweet spot to be larger on the Yonex compared to the Wilson and I find the Yonex easier to pull through faster on shots that would otherwise be hit a bit late on the Wilson. I found that the Yonex ability to generate more spin gave it more control on groundies than the Wilson. I subsequently added 3.5g of weight to each side of the Yonex at 3 and 9 o’clock positions and this helped with stability on volleys and a little bit more plough on groundies. Having owed both the Wilson Pro Staff and the Yonex V Core Pro, I would choose the Yonex everyday.

    Very good review. I’m not at your level but I switched from a Pro staff 97 to a Yonex Ezone 100 and immediately noticed the increase in power and spin. The pro staff is definitely a control racket but you need the good technique to create the power which i didn’t have! Both very good rackets but for different types of player- I’m personally happy I made the change.
