    Comment is late but I want to say that I’m in love with the Yonex ezone 98! For me head heavy racquets have not been a problem when hitting but in a game it can really get to your arm. The ezone on the other hand is really forgiving and if strung right you can get great control and power!

    Not interested in trying the Gravity Pro? I tried the Ezone recently and think I'd have to try the tour as I found it a little too lightweight. Good power though and generated really good spin with it. The comfort and control of the Gravity Pro was so nice though.

    I just finished demo'ing over the past month and had both of these throughout the process. I loved the head as well, it produced a great ball but the balance was just a bit too much to keep swinging for a long period of time for me. I ended up loving the new pro staff and thought surely I was going to get it. It's On my last visit to the shop (Queen City Tennis in Charlotte btw) I decided to grab a couple random racquets just on a whim to make sure there wasn't something else out there. I grabbed the Tecnifibre TF40, and fell in love instantly. I recommend the 315 version, it's a little heavier than the 305, but it's a bit more head-light. It gave me the feel of the Pro Staff, with the heavy, controllable ball of the speed pro. You should for sure check it out.

    I honestly thought you hit better with the Ezone in your previous video than you did with your wilson so I thought you were switching to it way back then. I've been using Yonex racquets for over a decade and absolutely love them. I just switched to the Yonex VCore Pro 97 330g and absolutely love it. Good amounts of control and really rewards good technique/racquet head speed with more than adequate power. Great feel.

    I’m literally in the same process rn. I am actually demoing those same two racquets next week. As a person who used a Wilson blade, I am looking for something more lively with spin that feels better off the forehand side than I do with my Blade. Any suggestions outside of the ones I’m already trying? Also, my friend is on my future college’s tennis team and he swears by the Ezone (why I’m trying it😂), so I think he would heavily commend your switch. Keep training, and I hope you the same that I hope for in my racquet search... a perfect match😂

    The weight of the ball produced by the speed pro is clearly affecting your opponent in this video so I'd say if that level of play can be sustained, it could be a lethal weapon for you. Might be a good idea to ask your hitting partner how different it is to receive your ball on the other side between racquets and include it in the review as that imho is the most important aspect in choosing a racquet: how effective is it at executing your game style. As for racquets for consideration, Wilson Blade, Babolat Pure Strike 98, Pure Aero VS, Extreme Tour, Clash 98, Speed MP, Radical Pro, VCore 95, VCore 98, VCore Pro 97, Tecnifibre XTC 305 or 315, Prestige Pro, Dunlop CX200, TF40, Prince Tour 95, Phantom 97P are all good racquets that warrants a review from you lmao

    • @charlesdang2557
      @charlesdang2557 3 роки тому +1

      Agreed with the insight and recommendation from Perseus Hercules. You appear to have greater depth overall with the speed pro. That's exactly why I got it. It's awesome you are reviewing these two head to head. I have found that nowhere on YT. One thing that has annoyed me long term about the yonexes is that the extra long grommets meant for vibration dampening will break off after many years of sun exposure. I am talking about 10 years later, which for you would be many lifetimes of racquets by then and not a true concern. But for recreational types like me who are looking to settle on a set of racquets for the next 15 to 20 years, that has kept yonexes out of consideration for me. You've got great talent, my friend, so here's hoping you finally get a racquet that pairs well with your ever growing skills

It would be a good progression from your Pro Staff in terms of design language and fits within the same category as the Head and Yonex thay you’re trying. If you want to try out a dark horse, give the Vcore 95 a try- if you like it I’ll contribute towards the cost of one!

    nice video :) although those two are not really a match, speed mp is what you should try really. I would be very interested in your opinion, pls make a video if you can. speed pro is less wieldy and slower than ezone and mp, pro asks for constant full swings, but crushes the ball better, is more stable as well, so if you're primarily about speed and manoeuvrability then speed mp is what you want. I've tried it and it's excellent, better that pro, although pro is great as well. ezone tour would be a match for speed pro, but it is very unwieldy, very. crushes the ball but it is surprisingly lacking in manoeuvrability, difficult to defend with it etc. you're both hitting nicely, you should definitely put more of that into videos if you can.

    Is there a Yonex Ezone 98 in size 1? Or does it start at 2?

    Hey, I've been using the ezone 98 for about 2-3 months now. Great racket, I really love it. One thing that i think you should try is a bit of lead on the Ezone. i have about 2 grams at 10-2 on both sides (2 inch strips) and another(two) 2 inch strips at 12 at the top of the racket. Personally makes it feel even better along with an overgrip, just a thought you could try if you do go with the Ezone :)

    Nooooooo I play with the pro staff 315 and I love it, sad to see you move on. Have you tried the new pro staff? Sad to see you move on from the pro staff.

    you would like the ezone tour version much better, but even the vcores are great especially the 97 which is apparently very similar to the pro staff. Yonex is a great way to go because of the head shape it makes them all feel bigger and more forgiving than they actually are.
