Actually General Shepherd was testing if friendly fire was on and that's how he killed Ghost and Roach by accident

In mw remastered I tried to kill makarov for the achievement but I hit yuri instead and it said no friendly fire

The way Yuri dies so suddenly always stood out too me, like Makarov just kills him so instantly. Usually a main character like Yuri would at least have some long dramatic fight before being killed like that

@dOubleO yeah same it hit way harder seeing it just happen like that… it felt way more realistic and shocking to me than the other deaths when I first finished the game
I played MW3 very young and Yuri's death made me cry

Allen who died makarov only shot yuri in the chest not killing him but making him weak enough so he wont interfere with no russian yuri died in the hotel before price hanged him allen was shot in the head in no russian not yuri and also wdym by fighting price he wasnt fighting price without yuri price wouldve died there and makarov continues to conquer countries
I was kind of expecting Yuri to tackle Makarov, and then Price would grab the gun and save Yuri right before Makarov killed him.

@Dark of the knight I know that I'm just pointing out Shepherd's careless actions with the life of a decent soldier.
That blank check can go to hell because it killed the important characters
He lost the double agent on purpose so that the world war could start and make him a war hero, thereby outsmarting Makarov, actually.
Him and Makarov aren't that different, they both want power even willing to trade innocent lives for it
At the end of the day, Makarov still had the last laugh. Price is alone with all his team and friends dead while the world burns due to Makarov's actions. He may be dead but his "legacy" shall survive in perpetuity
Makrov might be one of the strongest cod villians in history.
He survived 2 shots in the back that went trough his chest.
He survived a helicopter crash with no blood loss.
Survived more than 20 russian swat soilders at the airport.
And he survived being hung for like 3 seconds
According to phisics...the force in which Makarov fell, the length of the wire, and the body weight, it should have ripped his head off

The first three MWs and the first two Black Ops are one of the greatest video games I've played. Their stories are just so compelling and you feel so much for the characters.

As someone who studied Russian, he doesn’t pronounce many Russian names or places correct but I still love slasher’s videos but I wish he would listen to the pronunciation of names and places. Also these games don’t pronounce Russian names right either.

What i loved about makarov is how smart and intimidating he is.
I always imagined makarov showing up to the hotel’s front desk in Dubai being like, “uhhhhhh id like a room please. Is the penthouse suite available”

One of makarov’s boys is excited: “you got us the penthouse? I’m so excited mak-... I mean boss!”
And there they stayed until one night two men in juggernaut suits arrived....
I always imagined this being his personal "backup plan" so he owns the hotel, hence why his bodyguards' presence isn't questioned at all

My theory about the gas attack in London is because Makarov bought the chemical gas from general Barkov in Urzikstan. And then reproduce the similar chemical gas with his Frigata shipping company which is a front for his wmds and the chemical gas barrels. It makes sense that Barkov and his oligarch cronies were able to have mansions and the fact that Urzikstan isn’t the only place where they stolen the riches from those people.
No General barkov was from mw2019 and if realized that makarov was not mentioned in either 2019 only in mw2022 he was mentioned in the credits of the new mw2 2022

I don’t think that’s Krevchenko. I think that’s Lev. Lev was one of the guys in the Russian airport in the mission No Russian in MW2. Krevchenko would be like 80+ and I’m p sure these games don’t share universes. It might be a nod to Krevchenko but it’s more likely the guy from MW2.

Honestly, Makarov in my opinion is the third best character in any call of duty game. (Just Behind Price and Woods) He is so perfectly written, and the devs did such a good job of making you hate him. The No Russian mission is honestly such a good mission by design. You're forced to watch at least watch the attrocities, just to find out that it was all for not, and you realize just how evil he is. IMO, he's close to Thanos as one of the Best Villains of all times.

There is a multiplayer or something like that mission i played in MW 3 where the guard who was shot by Makarov was actually alive n he finds Presidents daughter a.k.a the girl. Thats why only the president was at the mines of Siberia and there was no sign of the girl (Daughter of President).
