There should be some kind of mandated disclaimer added to advertisements of cruises, something like what's on cigarette boxes so people know they are taking these trips at their own risk.

I am totally bewildered by the whole series. You have US Marshals/Detectives on planes of 300 plus and yet (Maritime Law) and passengers of 2K/3000 have some archaic The Captain & some unqualified alleged investigator to investigate. No protocol with onshore law enforcement,Outrageous Ineptitude & nevermind Jaws lurking if the liner sinks. Jeez. My heartfelt condolences to all the families & friends that were shown in the series. I have been perplexed & mortified by the horrendous bunglings & the unanswered questions & a total lack of protocols in place. The whole cruise liner industry needs a complete overhaul. A Dedicated Law Enforcement Team on board & fully paid by the ''Profit Not People'' Cruise Industry & perhaps Locks on the doors on the inside ? more CCTV without being invasive otherwise your on a prisonship. Paradise Lost indeed.

Amy Lynn Bradley was tipped overboard by her dad and brother. Either by accident or on purpose. If Amy was sitting with her legs over the railing, it wouldn't be hard to push her off.
Dad gave the son an alibi with his crazy 20 min sleep routine.

I was constantly harassed by the Indonesian crew and one restaurant waiter got my cabin number and started calling my cabin at all hours - early morning, late at night. It was very unwanted and disturbing. I told HA and they were not too bothered and only offered me $200 voucher to use on my next HA cruise which I had no intention of ever taking. This is why i like so many have NO desire at all to board a cruiseliner. They treated Merrian a whole human being like dispensible garbage. These corporations make a better effort at finding a lost wallet but a person disappearing or dying has to be kept quiet because of their reputation as a business that might affect their bottom line which is making money, as long as they have your money you are dispensible.

It's pretty obvious that one of the worst vacations a woman can take alone is a cruise. A woman alone attracts a lot of attention; there's a lot of drinking aboard; it's easy to push someone overboard without being seen; and the cruiseline's focus is on protecting their reputation to the extent they don't want anyone to even know a person disappeared and will actively hide potential evidence.

I still want to experience sailing on a Cruise Shio, I believe that there are safe most of the time and I guess one can also be more aware. These documentaries are helpful to make travel safer and increase security and safety measures on board. Ports must be more rigurous like airports when checking passengers prior to boarding. On board the ships, security crew must be more prepared and the crew has to care about their passengers' safety and the minimum issue must be taken care of right away. For a company, the priority must be their service to the people and that includes safety. A company that cares beyond selling promotions and what more, and actually takes time to reassure passengers that they will be safe, that is much better. A cruise is more than just the fun and thrill. It is still a vessel that has many people's lives who depend on the crew to go and return safely. Safe travels.

Would it be too much to ask that the whole cruise ship industry employ a police officer aboard trained and versed in the law of the sea and who takes charge in the event of a "missing person" report? This at least would give family and friends a professional approach to such incidents and the proper preservation of a potential crime scene. It would also give crew and passengers the opportunity to report incidents to the police rather than other crew members who will have been instructed to hush up anything that might prove detrimental to cruise line.

That's heartbreaking. This poor beautiful family will never really know the answer :( ive been watching these videos and im shocked how the cruise lines just hush it over and don't seem to care. It greatly upsets me to think that a company of any type could be so cold and uncaring. Ive dreamed of going on a cruise for around 40 years and we have two booked for when Australia finally may decide to let cruising restart. (we still don't have cruises approved to start here and no plan as to when they may restart). Im excited and really looking forward to living my life long dream. But it makes me want to cancel and never ever cruise and not give any cruise line my money, when i think of these poor people and there families that are treated like just another number, and happily pretty much being forgotten about by the cruise industry and no one in the industry giving a damn :( these are people, they have family, friends etc and it makes me think if i went missing they would not care and id be just another number to be added onto the mystery of deaths on a cruise. That my life meant nothing. Pretty heartbreaking. RIP to all of the beautiful people no longer with us that are now gone after going on a cruise. And kind thoughts and love being sent to there families.

    Alternate theories:
What if after examining the camera footage internally, cruise line realized the camera caught something that would bring horrible negative PR, so the cruiseline erased it, said nothing and settled out of court?
    A) Something like a homicide & her body thrown overboard with zero investigation and zero search?
    B) Or a suicide and no search/recovery?
    C) Or crew taking her into crew only areas, so the cruiseline simply fired whoever took her and paid them to stay quiet?
Any of those scenarios caught on camera with zero action taken by the cruiseline would mean loss of investor funding and customers choosing competitor cruiselines to sail.
