    This being my first time seeing you or your channel I was pleasantly surprised !!! Its not only fantastic seeing our youth working with there hands but with basic garage tools for the most part , I think you've done a great job & think you know more about welding than ya let on lol been welding along time now and those weren't beads from an rookie with no experience !!! Also you might wanna think about getting a nice solid straight edge for future use of the plasma cutter , it will greatly help keep things straight and consistent. All that said you did a great job & like seeing people thinking out of the box & not being afraid of getting dirty. I instantly subscribed to help support ya & look forward to your future videos !!!

    I would love to see this mounted in the crossmember tube of say a TJ or YJ so the hub is not so exposed to the elements. Really like the concept! Great vid.

    Neat idea. I don’t like that it introduces an additional point of failure. The failure mode would prohibit sway bar use and could lead to a pretty sketchy situations for some if it fails on the road. Hope it holds up!

    Those are good welds, maybe a little on the heavy side, but nothing that really matters.
    I've been welding for 20 years, I never understood the 'dimes' people do. I prefer the the smooth one pass look.
    And this thing you made, fucking genius, just fucking genius. Looking forward to see how it holds up to the torsional stress, so as this isn't quite what the hub was built to do.

    Purty good idea buddy, unfortunately my tires on my Toyota are too big for that idea and probably hit rocks with it. I built my sway bar from an old sprint car spring right front I believe. Then I built new arms for freeeeeee.
    Total investment $12. Stays attached at all times. 22" of travel with 40s and hit highway 35 miles daily, because I would daily my crawler to work and back. Because Toyota truggy baby!

    The anti rock can help balance front to rear characteristics off road, and help with side hills. The spring rate on them is pretty low, so it still allows for good articulation. You might try a junkyard rear swaybar, smallest diameter you can find.
    I'm curious how yours holds up to the torsional loads, I don't recall you saying it was spring steel?

    • @gageboysgarage6059
      @gageboysgarage6059  Рік тому

      it seems to spring really well i did research on the material before buying it. the cool part is you could buy a smaller diameter bar for less spring rate
