I was definitely surprised by some of these. Which is the most surprising to you? Which are your favorite punches?

Mike Tyson's Dynamite Uppercut is 4th because you can block it and still have 1HP left, so it does 95 damage when blocked, and blocking punches takes 8HP away, so an unblocked punch does 103. The top 3 punches knock you down even when blocked, so they do at least more than 103 damage.
tyson have both the strongest punch and the weakest punch in the game, nintendo did actually capture his fighting style very well because he's somehow a early game menace.
Yeah, I think so too. He almost always came out and knocked people down. I like how they incorporated that into his character. But he also does get stronger as the rounds go by, his regular punches get stronger as the rounds go by. And round 3 Tyson patterns are tough.

True, he's always won by completely destroying his opponent as early as possible, but becomes winded quickly and is easier to deal with as the fight goes one.
How is it possible that all answers in a thread has completely different opinions whole still trying to be agreeable...

Yep, I was surprised as well.
Yes. The reason his first loss even happened is because he gets weaker and weaker as the fight goes on. Since he is an in boxer, he gets tuckered out after a few rounds. The weakest punch in the game goes to mike tyson because of his stamina in round 3. He is much weaker in round 3, but in round 1 hes in such good condition he can throw dynamite punches that one shot you.
@@realausome this is true. It's also true that the time in which he lost the title is the same time as when he stops throwing dynamite uppercuts in MTPO

In this video, it seems 103 hp is the max hp value, but in another video, I saw the max hp value being 96 hp. Which is correct?
It's 96 hp. When you block it takes off 7 hp from the hit. Some hits knock you down even when you block, but Mike Tyson's dynamite uppercut doesn't, you are left with 1 hp. So his punch does exactly 103 damage, and the other one hit knockdowns are greater than 103.

That's why he becomes the Indisputable champion in oldclass punch out. Probaly because too many people fail to see Mike Tyson, super macho man gets his nerf on wii version. Thus lead to Sandman takes his champion place and becomes a 'weaker fake Mike Tyson' to make up for those bad memories.
@@zz6275well, mr. Sandman was the original arcade punch-out champion. Macho Man took his title for the NES and SNES, then he made a comeback for the Wii.

I just put out Super Punch Out. Little Mac's punches vary a lot depending on the opponent. Like one opponent can have 4 or 5 different damages from a star punch.
Did not expect Glass Joe to have that strong jab.
Have to mention how much it’s appreciated that for each clip you have Mac w full power, really helps scale the damage. Awesome
Huh, never knew King Hippo had a OHKO in his arsenal. I guess my fights with Hippo typically never lasted long enough to see it, whether it was my very first fights against him (which I lost quickly) or just about every fight since (which I _won_ quickly).
At what point of the fight does Hippo pull out this special overhead punch, BTW?
Apparently after Mac gets up the 3rd time and you don't dodge. I had no clue that was even a thing.

Makes sense that Tyson is not number 1, you can actually survive that punch if you block at the right moment. But since there are so many punches in a row that's hard to dodge, it can still be considered the deadliest attack.
But one thing I've never understood is how Bald Bull can charge up so much power in a single punch by skipping forward? Try that in real life, it only looks ridiculous. His Bull charge in the Wii version makes more sense.

Didn't know that Mike Tyson's punches varied in damage depending on the round, but it makes a lot of sense. All I know is every precious sliver of health counts, so I just get out of the way! 😆
Can't wait for the wii rankings. Also maybe someone can do a list for the frame data ranked? For a series that relies heavily on timing things i'm surprised how rarely frames are talked about and I can never find any documentation on frame data in these games. So what if it isn't a fighting game like Tekken, that's not an excuse! I might make a frame video myself if nobody else does.

He can also knock you down instantly with a regular jab as well after you've been knocked down 3 times and before you dodge at all. But you can block that punch and you have to force him to throw that punch rather than the overhead punch, so I just didn't include it.

Glass Joe is so slow so I guess they balanced that with his strength, but I dunno. Looks don't equal strength at all. Some of the hardest hitters in real life don't look it at all. And as for Don, you messed his hair up and got pissed, hehe. But yeah I was surprised by Don 2's uppercut.
It's kinda like street fighter, where Cammy and Zangief, HUGE size difference, but tiny health & damahe difference.
In Wii, it seems the muscular fighters do indeed hit the hardest. Bald Bull and Sandman become very strong, while Popinski becomes really fast.
@@UmongusSussehFrusseh TBF Soda Pop does wanna make Mac 'punch drunk', so it makes sense for him to work on speed instead of strength and/or stamina like Sandman and Bald Bull.
Since Don is acctually 150 pound, he has really compressed muscle which grants him sheer strenth. What's more, he is also a skill-based fighter who knows how to use the force of opponents to fight back thems.
And for Joe, his slow punching speed gives him a chance to find the weak point of opponent in order to do more damage.
You should do this for Punch Out Wii

As a kid I learned that blocking the dynamite punch will keep me up with 1hp. Do the last 3 do that?
Wether they block or not would determine further placement of the last 3
I know that blocking will not work on the last 2, but the king hippo one....
No, you still get knocked down on Hippo. I wish there was a way to break the tie to see exactly which is supposed to be the strongest.

Nevermind that you confusing a cross for a jab but doesn't Tyson's normal uppercut drop you in one hit?
Which is a cross? Only in the first round can his uppercut drop you in one hit, but you can block it and be left with 1 health.

How many HP does little mac have? 100?
All the fighters have 96 hp. Some of the top punches are more than that because when you block, you take 7 hp off the total. On mike tyson's first round uppercut, you can block and still have 1hp left. All the other 1 hit knockdowns, you can block and you still will be knocked down.
