My dad had to call the Nintendo hotline to find out how to beat the bull charge. Then he came to tell me and I was already at the second bull fight. Things were so much simpler back then
When I was in 6th grade, my friend got me the code that skipped to Super Macho Man. He told me, it wasn’t possible to dodge his multiple super punch and you needed to duck. I tried this for about a month and couldn’t beat him. One day I actually dodged one and I was like holy crap you CAN dodge? I beat him soon after.
If the code is adjusted so that every even blow that lands heals instead of damages it would be very difficult for the computer to win the game unless it would only use uppercuts for the odd blows and jabs for the even blows. Ei: 1 - Jab (damage 5 HP) 2- Jab (heal 5 HP) 3- Uppercut (damage 7 hp) 4- Jab (heal 5 HP) Another way would be to adjust the game so that the boxers have no arms. This may not work for Mike Tyson as he has been known to bite.
"How many times did you just barely hit left or right to avoid one of Tyson's devastating uppercuts?" Considering his attack speed, every Tyson uppercut I've ever dodged.
The odds on Bald Bull 2 are 1 in 414 octillion 310 septillion 977 sextillion 766 quintillion 236 quadrillion 194 trillion 625 billion 17 million 229 thousand and 196. :) Since Pap didn't want to read it out XD
I'm glad this video wasn't one of those "Can we do something I totally know we can but want to bait the audience into clicking on it" kinds of videos. @@Papamanual Interesting. I didn't know you got so many points for taking damage as well.
@@deverinshaille7427 You dont get points for taking damage, but taking damage allows your opponent to heal some health which allows you to damage them more so you can get more points. Its incredibly complicated to work out what is the optimal strategy in most fights.
Another good challenge would be winning the most matches by decision. There are a few that you have to win by knockout, but all the others involve strategies to not accidentally knock out your opponet. Soda Popinski becomes the most difficult opponent in the game.
I used to play the hell out of this game back in the day. All the records and challenges that have come out recently are amazing.
14:07 I will.
That is one in four-hundred fourteen octillion, three-hundred ten septillion, nine-hundred seventy-seven sextillion, seven-hundred sixty-six quintillion, two-hundred thirty-six quadrillion, one-hundred ninety-four trillion, six-hundred twenty-five billion, seventeen million, two-hundred twenty-nine thousand, one-hundred ninety-six.
To put that in perspective, you could fight Bald Bull every five minutes since the beginning of time, and not get that lucky.
It’s weird… Appetite For Destruction is playing in my head while I watch this. Brings me back to me and my buddy playing Nintendo while listening to music. Dang.
I’ve always thought Don flamenco looked like prince/King Charles
😆 He does! How did I never notice that before?
just when you think you know everything there is to know about a game. that glitch with soda was def a new one on me.
Ahh, amp plains. Awesome. Thanks for showcasing the PMD2 music.
In April, I’d like to see the game completed with as few head/mouth punches as possible. April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month.
What a stellar video. Been playing punch out since it's release in the 80's.
I needed you to come over my house back in 1987. I played the arcade with out Tyson before this.
How bout this challenge?
Win all fights by decision only!
Thats kinda like a highscore run, except not as good. Also PH1, Hippo, BB1, Sandman and Macho cant be beaten by decision.
Brings back so many memories. When i was a kid, i was the only one that could take out Mike Tyson on my block. Oh the glory days. Thanks for the vid, makes me want to play it again
3:37 he did what to his Honda?
Whaled away on Honda. Haven't you ever whaled away on your Honda? You gotta try it!
I saw Matt Turk do it while walking on water.
14:09 1 in 414 octillion, 310 septillion, 977 sextillion, 766 quintillion, 236 quadrillion, 194 trillion, 625 billion,, 17 million, 229 thousand, 196
Ah, so we're playing the game Rocky-Balboa style.
My guess is that Don won’t be possible: I also suspect that macho, sandman, and Tyson will require dodges as well. My guess is 12. I’m probably going to look silly.
Edit: just finished. Got pretty close! I’m very impressed! Great job!
Don flamenco sandman and Tyson will block the run
Ei: 1 - Jab (damage 5 HP)
2- Jab (heal 5 HP)
3- Uppercut (damage 7 hp)
4- Jab (heal 5 HP)
Another way would be to adjust the game so that the boxers have no arms. This may not work for Mike Tyson as he has been known to bite.
"I last until right before the two minute mark..."
--Spoken frequently in the video; and also in my bedroom if I think about baseball stats
Answers the question by 7:50, continues for another 31 minutes lol
These punch out videos are awesome I hope there’ll be more in the future
This is the dumbest question. I saw Matt Turk do it while he was walking on water.
20:48 Little Mac will wait patiently for his revenge but only for 25 turns after that he will begin his assault
I love how Tyson gets weaker after round 1, just like real life
Here’s a challenge run, MT punch out, use only gut punches to deal damage
"How many times did you just barely hit left or right to avoid one of Tyson's devastating uppercuts?"
Considering his attack speed, every Tyson uppercut I've ever dodged.
Mike is one hit knockdown at the beginning
The odds on Bald Bull 2 are 1 in 414 octillion 310 septillion 977 sextillion 766 quintillion 236 quadrillion 194 trillion 625 billion 17 million 229 thousand and 196. :)
Since Pap didn't want to read it out XD
A strategy I learned to beat Soda Pop was to get the uppercut star, wait for a cross, quick dodge, raw uppercut. Works every time.
I would like to see if you can beat Punch-Out without Face Punches, it's an interesting idea.
You can’t because in king hippo your forced to use face punches
This can also be called "Playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out As Rocky Balboa"
music at 10:07 just made me find out where a music i loved from a flash game came from thank you! (its mega man 2 - wily's castle btw)
14:06 LOL when i saw the 1 in 414 octillion text appear i literally died of laughter! WTF.
Get Dream in here, and the mathematician he used!
I'm glad this video wasn't one of those "Can we do something I totally know we can but want to bait the audience into clicking on it" kinds of videos. Usually those videos have a run FAR more difficult performed by someone else, like "Can we beat Dark Souls with Dung Pies", then someone uploads another video with "Can we beat Dark Souls with a Broadsword?", and the answer becomes "of course you can, please title your video something else or put more effort into your content instead of making this clickbait garbage on par with Watchmojo"
The sweet science of boxing is literally the art of NOT getting hit.
I am surprised it was only 9, good watch
7:45 A dodgeless run is impossible......thank you for saving me the time
Thanks for putting the music info in the description.
Another high quality vid 👏👏
Another solid vid. Keep up the good content Pap, let everyone know I was here before you got huge :)
"Dodge like a fly and bite like a mosquito!"
little mac has lived his life simply shooting the flies down with a water gun.
The Sandman fight is the most anime thing I've seen in this game.
It's like Mac is just trying to survive the onslaught of Sandman's triple uppercuts until at the last minute he learns to replicate the attack and finishes the fight with the last of his strength.
I swear I've seen the exact thing happen in Dragon Ball or something.
Imagine you're in the bull 2 and is on round 3. you know the knockdown or ko patterns. On the bull charge, you intercept and he gets up. Biggest what the hell moment of all
The ONE moment you get a frame perfect
You got me with the 0:41 Glass Joe, good work.
