How to Section

- The best #stylingtips will always mention this gem - always section your hair.
The most effective sectioning technique is my experience is the BMC Sectioning Technique, also known as the Bemycurl Sectioning Technique. This technique focuses on separating your hair into five smaller sections to improve your product application skills. Focusing on product applications helps solves the most common #curlygirlmethod struggle which is frizz.
When you section your hair and focus on one section at a time, you will save time, energy, and product, while ensuring an even foundation to quench #frizz .
This technique also helps make #fingercoils a much quicker process.

🙈🙈🙈🙈 oh gosh! thank you so much beautiful! it’s my pleasure to help in any way!
Thank you for making this video!! The stylist told me to section before applying styling products and I really had no clue how to do it.
You're so welcome! Thank you so much for watching and learning! ❤
perfect timing LOL just bought my five clip the other day to try the BMC method!
Yassss queen! The universe has aligned finally Haha ♥️
Thank you!! I've been using just two sections then having to separate out parts from the top. And I think things get messed up along the way like that. Definitely trying this, just might need more clips lol
you're so welcome beautiful queen, I used to do the same, but honestly since my stylist taught me this sectioning technique I've never looked back lol
Wonderful n so easy 🙂
Thankyou for this!❤❤

No worries! Always here to help! ❤
THANK YOU! For YEARS I couldn't figure out how to section my hair, even tho its thin, nothing ever seemed to work. Love how you explained this method. I'll try this on the next wash day!
🥹 this made me sooo happy! you’re so welcome queen! ❤️
Omggg thank youuu!! I'm having problems with putting products on my hair because it's very thick and long 😭 will definitely try this!! ❤️
You got this! let me know if i can help in any other way!
Super
This is great! Do you do all of your styling section by section? Or do you resection between each step (leave in, curl creme, gel for me)? My hair is thick and coarse so whenever I take a section out it's easy for it to get lost and mixed in with other sections I've already done and I sometimes make it worse when I try pulling them apart.
Hello! thank you so much! so i section first and focus on one section at a time. So for the first section water, leave in gel, move on to next section. Once all my sections are coated that’s when i will go ahead and finger coil the spots where i want more uniform definition. Once that’s done i just scrunch so it all comes together. For me everytime i release another section it’s not an issue if they intermix because i’m following the same process for each section. Hope this helps! ❤️
Omg I needed this I never know how to section😂
yayyy!!! i’m so glad you found the video you needed on this HUGEEE platform hahah ❤️
aaaahhh thank you soo much for this. i'm just wondering, how can i style the front part? do i further section it and style it with my hair upside down or do i do it towards the back of my head?
you’re so welcome! i’m so happy my content could help. Okay so for the top section i normally continue section and style using finger coils, so i hold the section of the hair up and finger coil. Or after i moisturize the section i brush it down and finger coil
but you can absolute just flip your head over scrunch and style!
Hey nice method! Superbly explained.. can you plz guide me how much product per section approx.. i have hi po hair.
Hi beautiful queen! Absolutely so density is going to be a determining factor. For example I also have high porosity hair but I have very fine hair so it means I need less of the products.
I do have example tutorials!
Heres the bemycurl : ua-cam.com/video/W_jmBFadpe4/v-deo.html
And my recent tutorial on shiny leaf also shows how much I use to style:

Thanks!
Where can I find those clips?
You can find them on the bemycurl website ❤
How do you know how many sections your curly hair has?
my stylist taught me 5 sections is what you aim for. The thicker and coarser your hair is you can break it down into smaller sections, but to start always five ❤️
This works for long hair too?
yes it will, makes it easier to style, just keep a spray bottle around for any sections that dry out and need more moisture ❤️
What if your hair is trained in a middle part
You can section your hair like this , apply your products, and right before you scrunch all your sections just part down the middle first, then scrunch for a finished result ❤
This is how I've always sectioned my hair, but my problem is that my hair keeps falling out of the clip. I feel like idk how to use the clip itself so my hair doesn't fall out ;(
this is an amazing comment, i never ever thought to do a tutorial on clips! Since becoming a cosmetologist and working in the salon you use clips soooo much more so i’ll definitely show my technique! ❤️
@@RedCarpetCurls omg I would love that! I'm still trying to figure out the clips 🤣
I don’t get what you’re doing here. Do you leave your hair like that until it dries? Is there another video to follow?
This is a sectioning technique as explained in the video. These are the sections you take down one by one adding water, leave in, then gel or whatever other styling products you use. The actual product application can be seen in any of my other styling videos such as the bemycurl tutorial and review or the shiny leaf tutorial and review ♥️
Thank you 😊
@@ginar51 you're welcome beautiful queen! Let me know if you have any other questions after reviewing the rest of the process ♥️
