This has been SO helpful! I've been following it for a model I'm making in my course and I've never understood a tutorial better! Thank you so much, I wouldn't have got this far without you!
I like how in every video for same thing you use different methods to make it. This playlist with furniture is very useful. My favourite modeler right now 😁
My 2 models got rejected in Blenderkit. So apparently my UV wrapping and materials was the problem. Thankyou King for this tutorial. I will upload furniture asset again after finishing your videos.
I noticed you use a lot of loop cuts to sharpen corners after smoothing. Would you be better off using a bevel before doing the smoothing? Thanks in advance. By the way, I'm greatly enjoying your tutorials. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question. Before adding texturing, do we have to make sure the normals are blue instead of red, or is that only for certain textures?
Just now I started this work. It was supposed to be something simple. I'm curious how it will be with me. As I have seen, this tutorial is also a super good work from you. So slowly I can understand better what you're talking about. If you hardly understand English, then the letters A, E, sound like A in German. And also the same with the letters E, I that sounds in German like E, so that I had to test until now always what you mean. But solangasm I have understood it. So thanks a lot for that. Hope you make soon times again a beginners or advanced tutorial. I am curious. Translated with DeepL
@@RyanKingArt Well, I think so, it's not too hard. Normally I would want to show you my final work, but I unfortunately have no Instagram, Twitter and no homepage. An own homepage I can not afford as an old pensioner. And Instagram etc. I do not like because of the data octopus. Well never mind. In any case, one can learn a lot from you. Translated with DeepL
I always use right click select. It was that way since 2.6 i think when i first started using blender. It is much easier. And i hated it after more than a year of pause from blender and i came back to 3.2 version and it was left click select. 😂 But i found it in preferences how to change it. Yeah i forgot almost everything while not doing it for over a year 😅😂
Hello, I'm trying to figure out where I'm going wrong? When I try to connect two adjacent legs of a chair, I can't connect them in any way at all. The faces always connect to me only in the same leg and not with the adjacent leg. I also tried to pull out the vertices and connect them together and then create a face, but somehow I can't do it either. Wouldn't it be possible to somehow use an array and create five legs in this way?
I never used Cad, so I don't know for sure if its the same, but Blender does have a spin tool in edit mode, where you can spin around the geometry. You can also use an array modifier and spin the array around another object.
please make a 1 video for benefits of blender because i start blender before 2 months but i am worrying if i learn blender how i will get the job suggest the platform for online work thanks
Hi Ryan, not sure how to phrase this, but do you have any tips for making (extruding) objects that change shape part way through? Im trying to make a chisel for example, and I'm struggling withe the fact that the bottom of the chisel is round but it gradually becomes a sharp squared shape at the top (the blade).
Great tutorial! But being new at blender this question is killing me. At 1:03:23 you decided to make the cube "round" by Beveling it with CTRL+B, while in every other object you just added a Subsurf Division with loop holes. I know the difference is that Beveling adds more detail that can actually be manipulated, but why did you Bevel it there on such a small object that seemed rather... uninmportant?
Hmm, I don't know why I added a manual bevel there. In this case, for that bottom piece on the chair, you could either add a manual bevel, like I did, or use the bevel modifier. either way works. But no objects in the real world are perfectly sharp. all edges have some amount of bevel, so it is important to add.
@@RyanKingArt Bummer! But another question I had was, is there a tool that tells me the dimensions of the copied vertices, like with the drawer? I need to make some furniture with specific dimensions, but the "Item" tab only shows the ones from the original cube.
Hmm, I'm not really interested in making a tutorial specifically on that, but I do have a step by step sculpting tutorial on how to make a chipmunk. You can find it on my Channel. : )

I always suck at lighting😥.... any tip por favor?
I like using HDRI's for the base of my lighting. They really help to make the lighting more realistic.
45:39 reminds me to ask if Blender has a polar array option similar to AutoCAD? Would be handy for this kind of shape. Loved the video btw 👍

Hmm I'm not sure.
Maybe its just me but ctrl shift T doesnt work even with node wrangler activated...
Hmm thats odd. Do you have the principled shader selected when you do that?
Wooooooo
Thanks.

I know its a bit late but I have a doubt (13:13) when I extrude I didn't get any face to cover the front of the draw so I don't understand.
Hmm ok. Well if there are still vertices, then you can select all of the vertices, and press F, to fill a face.

Vedio (9.57) when I insert face. The top side doesn't become equal . What to do
Hmm, you could just click to place it, and then scale it in the Z, and move and adjust it until its about at the center.
