Hi Ryan. Thank you so much for this tutorial! You made it easy to follow and as someone who struggles learning new things, I greatly appreciate it. Keep up the great work!
Nice tutorial! I think they changed some things around in Blender since then though (apart from left and right click select swap :P). When making the legs top part where you "delete vertices", I have to "delete faces". If I delete vertices, it removes the whole top part of the leg from the circle extrusion
Thanks for the video, but im kinda stuck at the textures part. The 'texture' of the wood appears only on the edges, the top is just plain brown. I tried changing the render engine but to no avail. I guess it has something to do with the loopcuts, because i had them slightly away from the edges and the 'textures' appear only after the loopcuts, not in the center ( which is plain brown). Please help.
hi !! thank you for your tutorial, i was wondering, how do u zoom into models in 2d mode? cause when i am trying to do that i only can zoom into the centre :(
@@ellyamirz Yes that's orthographic view. Maybe you mean that you want to pan. Hold down the Shift key and click and drag with your middle mouse button.
@@StickmanLLC1 You're having problems with the control and clicking to make the chair leg curve? Try using the other mouse button if one doesn't work. Or you can also press E, to extrude, and then R to rotate it, and model it that way.
@@RyanKingArt alright then. i asked a friend and they said the same thing about the right mouse key, but i cant use it without making a weird mesh. guess i will do it manually, thanks for the help!

Did you check the UV layout after you Unwrapped the mesh? Also it could be that the Seams were placed on the wrong spot.
@@RyanKingArt I did, thank you very much for the help. Amazing work

what do you mean by 2d mode? Do you mean in orthographic perspective? You should just be able to zoom with the scroll wheel.
@@RyanKingArt when you tap 3 or 7 on the number pad, i meant that as a 2d mode. when i’m scrolling, it only zooms into the centre

@@RyanKingArt thank you so much !!
I can't seem to get the wood textures. I download it, but every time I go into my files in blender to find it, it does not show up.
make sure you extract the zip file, after you download it.
i am currently stuck on the rotating chair leg part. how do you do it?
can you leave a timestamp of where your at in the video?
