By far the best blender teacher i have found. You explain things like we are beginners but also use terminology that everyone will understand, you explain things not in use of crazy theories like we have been doing this for years on end. Most tutorials on blender act like we have been doing this for years. Thank you!!!
I got into using Blender to create 3d models/prints for jewelry making. This is hands down the single most useful tutorial I have watched for my intended use. So awesome, I can't thank you enough!
Thank you for the simple, clear and helpful video! At first I only saw 5 options (Bezier, Circle, Nurbs Curve, Nurbs Circle and Path) in my Add>Curve menu. To see the other curve options shown below Path at 2:02 I had to enable the "Add Curve: Extra Objects" add-on.
This is some next level teaching. I love this brief overview of the tool, the most important parameters and some creative use-cases! I love your stuff, Ryan, please keep it up!
Absolute legend. Thanks so much for this video. In a world of tutorials full of poor audio quality, bad explanations, and poor visual examples this really shines through. Keep it up man. Beautiful.
Some instructors move at a crank head pace and you have to slow down vid to 1/4 speed......Some instructors don't have the access to a microphone...some instructors think I'm interested in blasting music that drowns out the voice....some instructors do a 5 minute and skip over 5 steps in the 1st minute...RYAN does it the professional, comprehensive and caring way...making it look easy..Thanks R.K.
I was banging my head against a wall trying to figure out curves, felt my mind physically expand after your excellent tutorial. Saved me tons of stress, thank you so much!
In newer builds you have to enable the arrows that run along the curve in edit mode. The setting is in viewport overlays, they're the normals/handles checkbox.
@@Turb0Transp1 Viewport overlays( it's a drop down menu on the top right), curve edit mode(at the bottom of the dropdown menu), the checkbox is next to a slider, check the check box then select a curve in the viewport. Go into edit mode, the curve should show the normal/arrows. Only curves will show these types of normal.
Thank you, Ryan. This was something I didn't understand. You make it easy to understand and use. Now that I know how to use this, It is going to save me so much time and frustration. As a student new to blender. I find your tutorials so incredibly helpful.
Without this video i would never find out on how to make pipes without using a modifier to a cylinder, this behaves better than the modifier, thanks alot!
duuuuude this was incredible best tutorial on blender ever holy smoke, everything I wanted to know, concise, to the point, no BS, comprehensive I honestly thiught it would take me a few hours to find all the knowledge youve exposed here sir, mad respect
Thanks Ryan -- this was great. Perfect for an intermediate blender user. So many things on YT either assume a newbie or a blender black belt. You have won a new subscriber!
it doesnt happen often that a tutorial actually helped me in blender. this is one of them that helped me and answered all of my answers. now its time to improve my hair :b Thanks a lot my guy. u just won a new sub and a like :)
Hey, this was actually good... You explained some things I already knew without dumbing it down, and you explained a lot of things I didn't know right to the point. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was losing my mind trying to figure out curves, every other tutorial I watched just said 'click these buttons and it's done' and nothing was working for me. FINALLY I can use curves now
not only super useful but also very well presented you have a knack for presenting without all the umm-ing and ahh-ing which plague so many of these tutorials (and i say that without intending to be harsh on those who share their knowledge - presenting in a clear manner is difficult - you do a brilliant job) many thanks; subbed
You're a legend for this!!! I was modelling a gate from an anime and I thought I was going to have to restart the cables because I didn't know how to use the depth setting
omg you helped me with so much in this video. I'm making my first room in blender to learn how to 3d model, and you taught me so many things other videos hadn't to do certain commands I really needed to use, in a easier format, all while also teaching me how to use the curve. So many things you mentioned helped me in different aspects. I'm finally starting to feel like I'm becoming familiar with blender now. Thank you, so much for this video. Truly.
You just helped solve a real challenge in a flying car I am building, that was an awesome tutorial clearly spoken and simplified, much respect and thanks, I hope to see more :)
Sooooooooo nice! This is helping me enourmously to shape non-symetrical pool-frames. Its way eaysier than messing with cubes and orbs and all the other options. THANK YOU!😍
Thank you for your complete training I have a question, if possible, please answer 🙏🏻 Creating a pipe with this method has created a problem for me, as the scaling, the radius of the pipe also changes. I want you to suggest a method that, like modifiers, with any type of change like scale , the value of the radius remain fixed
Wow this is so helpful, I'm doing my first real build and needed a bedframe, I didn't know how to do curves so I used a half torus but now I can make it look better, thanks!
I like the "P" (separate) and "ALT+S"(scale) .....you BEST ;) ....But if you use the Proportional Editing (shortcut"O") later you can move and scale the other points too
Thanks Ryan for this. I now see a possible solution for what I want to do. Additional thanks for the verbal repetition of the shortcuts that you are utilising as they happen. They are seeping in and happening my end. Pls keep that up, good technique.

Thanks for the info! 👍
omg thank you so much cant even imagine hows your comment is on point much love
can't find that in edit mode, can you be more specific ? these arrows and handles still don't show for me

Short and straightforward. Working on Anime hair today, so having a video like this to review the features of curves was ace. Thanks Ryan!

Very nice video--I learned a lot! Sometimes you went a little fast and didn't explain specifically what you were doing, but this was rare.
Ok cool. Thanks for the feedback! 👍
Is there a way to make the curve lines have a rounded cap once they have visible geometry?
