It's going back a bit now, but I attended a tasting of the first 3 Blood Oath Pacts hosted by John Rempe. The 'enthusiasts' preferred Pact 1, the bar owners preferred Pact 3... and I bought Pact 2! A great blend of high rye and wheated bourbons with just enough influence from a Port-finished rye. I've tasted up to Pact 5 or 6, but not the more recent ones, although I do like the sound of Pact 8.
Blood Oath is so overhyped and overpriced. Market trend data shows that people are getting tired of experimental whiskeys and the price tags that come with them. Barrell bourbon punches above the weight of their pricepoint and bottle-for-bottle tastes more consistent than the Blood Oath released.
I agree and especially the high prices for finished whiskeys. I actually had a Blood Oath 10 in my hands and was able to take a couple photos but at $132 I passed. Personally I'm turning away from most of the finished craziness and focusing on traditional bourbon and rye flavor profiles.
Not following any release schedules but my list for this summer to grab is EH Taylor Single Barrel, Stag, Russell’s Reserve 13, Willett Rye, Noah’s Mill Small Batch. Thanks!
My local store had 4 bottles of the Blood Oath Pact 10 for $420 each. No thank you. Looking forward to EC BP B524 and Larceny BP B524. Would love to get a Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon. Would be awesome to get the Russell’s Reserve 15 Year. 🥃
Just an observation from a first time viewer based on watching too much whiskey tube over the past year. ECBP and Larceny BP, you and several other folks have many batches open and more than half full. Why? They cant be that good to hunt if nobody is drinking them, especially for the money. Not a knock just an observation, cheers!

I think most of them like to compare them against future releases so they slowly drink them.
Stay away from blood oath they're not worth the price.
