skip holy shock and 5% holy crit then take sanc + reckoning and swap inproved conc for improved HoJ and you can also aoe grind efficiently or keep imp conc and be immune to pushback while aoe farming
Like you video. You should mention the Tier1 set which allows you to dps and passively heal your party (naturally equip only if your survival is guaranteed). It is known as "support paladin" and is really good in raiding.
3 in 1 paladin build would be 23/17/11, core healing talents with improved BoW from holy tree, kings improved righteous fury from protection tree and seal of command from retri tree,
hey, I subscribed to your channel, since I always support young enthusiast that put great effort in editing their videos and that provide good source of information, so congrats on that, really polished! As a constructive feedback, im not sure (personal opinion) that the double personality-alterego thing- provides anything to the information you are providing to the viewer, I myself was enjoying it at first but in the end and after watching all yout videos became a little tedious. Hope you can get some thinking on this matter, otherwise, keep up the good work
Rod Martin M. thank you for the feedback, I put a lot of work in my videos and it is nice to see that you appreciate it, and thanks for the constructive feedback, I’ll take that into consideration
I thought this video was about a single build for all 3 roles. I was intending to watch this and see if it was similar to the one I've built before. 20/13/18 5 Divine intellect, 5 spiritual focus, 3 healing light, 1 consecration, 1 into either imp LoH, or unyielding faith (strongly recommend faith), 5 redoubt (better for tanking. you won't get crit capped anyway), 3 precision, 2 guardian's favor, 3 Improved righteous fury, 5 Benediction (recommended but might is fine), 2 Improved judgment, 3 Improved seal of the crusader (recommended but not strongly as it's mostly for dungeon bosses) or whatever else you want, 5 Conviction, 1 Seal of command and finally 2 into either Pursuit of justice, or Improved retribution aura. I strongly recommend Pursuit of justice, because 10 damage when hit isn't very good. There is a little room for different choices, because some of the talents just aren't clearly mandatory.
This looks really interesting. But, by my count, it's 15/13/18. So 5 more points should be in Holy? I'd like to try this. Is it more of a leveling build, or something to respec to? Would you take the talents, while leveling, in the order you have them here? And would you suggest Human or Dwarf? I'm thinking Alchemy would work well, for mana potions, and other elixirs.
@@ncwordman You would have 5 points left with 15/13/18 This is a 5 man level 60 build and your dps won't be as good as a full ret. You prob won't get many invites lol. If you want a leveling build just go straight ret. If you want to tank and heal while leveling, an 11/13/xx (whatever is left) will do ya. You *must* have consecration to aoe tank. Human is best bet for pve, dwarf for pvp. Stoneform makes you immune to rogue blind and poisons.
Improved rightious fury, Divine favor + holy shock is a really good way to pull a boss. Nice amount of instant threat. Which you're going to need given you are going to be lacking holy shield and reckoning for threat Gen as the fight wears on. Also you can do the reverse of this build and go 20/31 which works just as well if you have no interest in PvP and just want to run dungeons.
You're absolutely right on both points, some dps don't like to give thetank a few seconds for threat generation so this combo works well as you stated. And if I was going for this build, I'd go with 20/31 to get Sanctuary as I realize I don't miss Holy Shock (currently not playing with it)
they should change redoubt to chance on hit, instead of crit. as you get crit less and less as you get more defense. having an equal amount of chance on hit = there crit chance would give it the same benefit with better geared tanks.
Bhelockharyh I agree, plus I’m rolling pally so warrior isn’t an option haha thanks for the vid, reconfirms the spec I’ll be rolling with in classic for 5 man versatility and endgame raiding 👌🏼
Yeah this build is great, you can start as a healer as you probably would either way and once you have 2 sets of gears you can really start to enjoy the game and not wait in IF endlessly for a tank/healer :P I'm glad to hear that you'll give it a try :D
Bhelockharyh played Holy spec with SoC ret in vanilla and looking forward to reliving those days. This time round I’m gonna multibox 4 mages and use the Pally as tank/heals for solo 5 mans outside of raids 😏
Bhelockharyh but go holy/Prot as in your vid, with only slight modifications for tank survivability while tanking 5 mans (altho with 4 mages there won’t be much tanking!)
This is more of a build for level 60. Although with a friend, going holy for leveling isn't a problem, you can leverage his/her damage to allow yourself to be more of a healer. And if this build is appealing to you at level 60, you can go directly with it right now and avoid paying the respec cost. But if you ever have to solo level, this isn,t the best option as your damage will suffer and the increased healing potential will not be enough for that damage loss; Ret would be better from my experience (but keep in mind I mostly leveled as ret everytime). Hope it helps!
you should amend this video with your experience in classic. This is too much focused on pvp and sacrificed a lot of pve effectiveness.. to be honest this should be titled PVP build .
Absolutely, the meta right now is either to buy boosts or farm dungeon rather than quest, so from 50-60 you can run BRD exp runs easily with this build either as a healer or a tank (depending on your gear and preference) and you can start your attunement quests also with a buddy or two. Once closer to 60 you can do DM (E/W/N/Trib) and Scholo/Strat LBRS/UBRS to work on your Pre BiS and it will be suited for the job
Yes, I'd start with Consecration and then either go deeper into the Holy tree if you want to be mainly a healer or into Prot next to grab Sanctuary if you want to tank. Afterwards going for Illumination/Divine Favor is a viable option to be either a tank or healer
I wouldn't really call it a 3 in 1 the talent difference you would have to make to optimize pve/pvp healing is so small i wouldn't even say you are a different spec.
Hi, Alex. Great video! I made a video about my plans for Classic and our build is very similar, bu t i think i can play just in PvE and PvP as a healer, maybe a tank. You can check the video on my channel and he has english subtitles.
-10% armor, no sanc buff, no + 10 defence so you will be crited by most bosses..You only need 13 points in holy to heal any dungon content (mana on crit is useless untill you have high enugh int on your gear)"buy mana pots if your worried about mp5", going 14 or 11 in holy. Spec into prot down to sanc buff and reckBomb to life regen on hit/singel target aggro also great vs rogues. If you plan on pvp/aoe in open world 11 in ret for seal of command if you need to kill casters in pvp (switch to a 2hander). *flys out*
I wouldn't tank before getting a tank set so the armor/def/sanc buff aren't as needed. IF you actually tried it you'd see it works well and if you want to heal in raids Illumination/divine favor is super good to have; and this is mainly a healing build with added benefits to tank, not the other way around
More of a 2 in 1 build. Healing and tanking. DO NOT GO STR / STAM gear for tanking, you need INT / STAM. Changing from one healing spec to another healing spec is not adding another role. Also, improved conc aura is a waste if you have spiritual focus as your heals are already uninterruptible. Kings is best for tanks, so if you are tanking it's not needed. Casters want wisdom, hunters, rogues and dps wars / pallies want might. Nice to have, it's a fantastic buff but suboptimal in most situations. Good if you have two pallies, but you want to avoid that for drop competition. I disagree with Marc, I like the themed content but by the light your vids would benefit from some research. Thanks!
nfc14g I disagree, healing in PvP and PvE are 2 completely different things, but yeah I guess in the end you end up healing either way. And Imp conc is huge in pvp, with spiritual focus your spells don’t lose casting due to damage taken, yes, but can be kicked/silenced. And let me tell you that being locked out of holy spells as a Paladin sucks big time as you can’t do anything. And you’re right for Kings in dungeons but in raids Kings is a priority with Salv so it is great to have it with you if ever you arr in a raid with limited Paladins.
what an amazing video, I'm really impressed, keep up the good work, cheers from Brazil!!!!
