3:30- It will help to level faster if you do kill the great dusk bats " NOT THE VAMPS" throw to pull them to you, don't run up and hit them, I found they are less likely to knock you down/stun you if you throw to pull them. And funny level 6 "for me" do stun/knockdown more often than the level 7 ones. out of maybe 15 kills, I might get knockdown. And they can be skinned, plus they can drop bat wing meat that gives a 15 min stam/spirit buff. every bit helps lol. buy the recipe for the bat meat at the vendor outside the inn, in front of the wagon

Amazing guide i love it because i am tired of doing the same quests over and over again.when leveling a alt toon :). Are you going to make a alliance guide to?
The Hyena spawns in Desolace won't work, they have 0 drops (like 1 or 2 TOTAL items per whole pack and give 25% exp, rather then the 100% that you get on private) I tested this on beta since i considered grinding these too. Also what's the /played to 40 exactly?
Dang. Well, still skinnable I suppose. In vanilla they were 100% according to my autistic data gathering I did before thottbot. Once I pull ahead I'm going to attempt your route if I can stomach questing. In the video it was 2 days 13 hours 38 minutes though I know it could go faster if I had more focus / less IRL distractions. Binge watching Shark Tank so I'd stop and pay attention to that if it got interesting.
its faster than you think not faster than questing unless you are really bad at quest locations + compete with other players. but grinding is making $$$$$$$
Thanks for the video! But where to grind after 40 or would questing be better at this point? Would be really awesome if you could provide me with some 40-60 spots and the level ranges if you have them written down somewhere since I enjoy the 1-40 spots alot!
Nice guide ! 2 questions: Is there any overlay to use a key and make a count? The mines and stuff from skining that you get, you sell it on vendor or AH?
Don’t know about the first one. Vendor all items from skinning and mining. AH isn’t going to be good because of the flux of items that players will put there.
Some of the beginning things you farm you might just sale to vendor. But use auction add-ons and you will know how much they sale on AH. AH is almost always the better option. Also make sure to buy 8 slot bags. They should be about 6-8s each. You should easily be able to get a set.
@@Michael-dt9lo should never vendor ore...bad bad bad mistake. All ore should be sold raw form on AH. All greens should also be AH, same with white items. Never vendor anything but greys.
So, I practiced this to level 14 on an Undead Warlock. I couldn't find many Copper Veins, so I was behind on mining. It was enjoyable, but it took me 9 hours to get there? I I've previously speed leveled an Orc Hunter and got to level 20 in about 10 hours questing. Is it truly worth it to grind from level 1 ? I really like the idea of having the economic advantage.
Shouldn't take that long at all. You might not find as much copper in the starting areas now that more people know about it, but Silverpine is the place to catch up on mining. If you're looking for just pure speed then questing is the way. Also note that pserver times will always take longer than classic as the mobs are tougher.
Thanks so much for sharing your research and work @swoleBenji . I noviced you have already been trying out questing and grinding in classic, what do you think? do you think generally this guide still holds up? Thanks so much for the attention and advice
on point mate, this is close to what i will be doing. only thing i would add is to throw in fishing when you want to take a mini break from the grinding or having a chat on discord.
Hello Benji, i stacked up on IRL consumables and will use your 1-40 grinding guide, just wondering if i should take the time doing quests for gear or just going by vendors and also when to go to vendor to sell loot, should i run asap to a vendor as soon as the bags are full or should i send all to an alt?
3:30 It took about 17 seconds to kill that mob. So 230 that you have to kill multiplied by 17 seconds each = 3910 seconds divided by 60 seconds = 65 minutes. So that's a little over one hour to gain 3 levels and this is not counting the time you have to spend walking from one mob to another and the time you spent looting, skinning, selling stuff and eating food if you have to. That's alot of work but hey if it yields that money why not?
Aim for the solo beasts and avoid packs at all costs. I have no idea why he's showing a video of him killing a pack. They hurt and aren't worth the loot (unless you're a skinner and can AoE grind mobs like on a mage). Stick to the individual beast mobs for a much better grind.
If your a mage, lock or priest, I recommend you get a wand as quick as possible, buy it from action house or ask around to see if someone can make it with your mats, as mage , I’m never oom because of the wand is op at early game.
I tested your Durnholde farm and yeah, it's pretty good. Tomorrow I'm going to hit thousand needles. I'm level 29. So far so good. I've got 14g, a boe blue on AH and tons of cloth.
I'm pretty noob to wow, this is a nice guide but what are the points of quest then? you level up faster grinding and get gold. what do quests have to offer? are they worth doing?
Questing is faster, but requires (me) to go look up what to do, to have to stress about mobs not dropping certain items for quests, and grinding takes no thought / attention. Grinding is slower progression wise but is superior for making money.
Quick Question Benji. Would this work for GRP grinding aswell? say a party consisting of 2 players, a healer and dps? great guide. And would you predict a warrior being able to do this ? or would that be considered ... problematic.

Amazing guide i love it because i am tired of doing the same quests over and over again.when leveling a alt toon :). Are you going to make a alliance guide to?
The Hyena spawns in Desolace won't work, they have 0 drops (like 1 or 2 TOTAL items per whole pack and give 25% exp, rather then the 100% that you get on private)
I tested this on beta since i considered grinding these too.
@@SwoleBenji
Wait, you did all this work on private server data? Those loot tables aren't very accurate.
@@joeltarnabene5026 Loot data is from my old experiments / data collection in vanilla. Footage was obv filmed not in the beta or vanilla.
Idk if anyone is still here but is there an addon he uses to get the screen grabs with the green dots for the mob locations?
Don't remember what addons I used. Sorry lad.
@@SwoleBenji hya swole , nice vid, i am thinking of put all the leather and copper bars on AH, instead of vending, must be in demand i,m sure.
406 mobs between levels 9-12
Yeah, that's gonna be a no for me dawg.
You could grab a few quests from brill and knock those out as you grind. Undead at balnir farmstead can make you pretty rich
its faster than you think not faster than questing unless you are really bad at quest locations + compete with other players. but grinding is making $$$$$$$
I'll quest myself more social and interactive. may take longer but this way ima enjoy myself.
@Isaque Maringolo I don't even want to know how many days game time I spent at Rock Crabs and Experiments....
Isaque Maringolo Same, no other grind compares to runescape
Thanks for the video! But where to grind after 40 or would questing be better at this point? Would be really awesome if you could provide me with some 40-60 spots and the level ranges if you have them written down somewhere since I enjoy the 1-40 spots alot!
I'd just do questing at that point
@@xDrinkBleachx well I dont know what quests to do never played before so its very slow for me
@@LALEDLOL you never played before and you powerleveled to 40? wtf
Nice guide ! 2 questions:
Is there any overlay to use a key and make a count?
The mines and stuff from skining that you get, you sell it on vendor or AH?
Don’t know about the first one.
Vendor all items from skinning and mining. AH isn’t going to be good because of the flux of items that players will put there.
Some of the beginning things you farm you might just sale to vendor. But use auction add-ons and you will know how much they sale on AH. AH is almost always the better option. Also make sure to buy 8 slot bags. They should be about 6-8s each. You should easily be able to get a set.
Idk what that first dude was talking about.. I sell everything on AH pretty easily. I had the gold for a mount way before I hit 40
@@thebull683 I smelt every ore and sell on the vendor at a much better price than vendoring. Light leather not so much.
@@Michael-dt9lo should never vendor ore...bad bad bad mistake. All ore should be sold raw form on AH. All greens should also be AH, same with white items. Never vendor anything but greys.
so what are you doing with the mining mats? vendoring or selling them on the AH?
@@Lazgar393 I keep em and sell em in stacks of 20. Post on Friday, for the weekend alt grinds.
Holy crap, this is exactly what i've been looking for. Thanks Benji, For the horde!
This is one of the best wow guides I've ever seen.
I recognize you from PowerfulNoun streams. Heck yeah!
This guide so good im changing servers and rolling horde😂
Currently following this guide and at 6-9 doesn't seem to be a lot of nodes in the area. But I'm trusting the process lmao, great guide man.
6 to 9 is mainly to level your skinning, the ores come when you move to next part of guide for .9 to 12
can u do this for alliance?
Playing alliance is your first mistake
2 subscribers with 0 videos with their depressing cities? No thanks.
@@robertp457 Your biggest concern is the cities? Sounds about right
So, I practiced this to level 14 on an Undead Warlock.
I couldn't find many Copper Veins, so I was behind on mining.
It was enjoyable, but it took me 9 hours to get there? I
I've previously speed leveled an Orc Hunter and got to level 20 in about 10 hours questing.
What about 40 to 60 grinding?
Saw This guide, Made a rogue, using This and doing some quests to gain rep with OG for The mount. Love it, grinding is fun in its own way 😍
To be honest at launch grinding mobs will be a much better experience than waiting and busting your balls doing quests on hyper crowded areas.
i mean the way i look at it is its super easy compared to questing. just kill and move to next area
@@VS666, also you are practicing your rotations more, for pve at least
@@VS666 If you enjoy killing the same mob 500 times. Also you get no faction reputation since you skip all quests.
@@PelFox "If you enjoy killing the same mob 500 times" this made me laugh because you have a MapleStory picture.
Thanks so much for sharing your research and work @swoleBenji . I noviced you have already been trying out questing and grinding in classic, what do you think? do you think generally this guide still holds up? Thanks so much for the attention and advice
you have an alliance one?
this video popped up on my recommendation and i decided to give it a go. thanks a lot man. cheers!
on point mate, this is close to what i will be doing. only thing i would add is to throw in fishing when you want to take a mini break from the grinding or having a chat on discord.
Nice video but i have a question dude, how do you get stuff doing that ? do you go AH ? thx man
Whats the addon you're using to show the mob icons on minimap?
Use ClassicCodex, works just as well. The one he's using is for a private server and doesn't work with classic right now
@@MeiSucks-nc3yq thanks dawg!

I am also concerned about this... how will you keep up with gear? Will drops cover you in this aspect?
This video is amazing and has some insane detail and info. But honestly, why would anyone want to level this way? Man...haha
Jiveturkey arguably less fun but economically it makes the most sense and might actually be a bit faster if you plan to no life on launch day
Combat is like 90% of my enjoyment in WoW. The rest is talents. Basically perfect for me.
@@dx315 all except rogue priest prolly mage. Never could get into them, still cant.
Me: oh cool an alternative to questing and a well thought out route
Also me: rolling shaman, rip undead zone vid
Great video, trying it right now. I am doing herb/alch so I did the undead soldiers at Agamond Mills. Tons of herbs and getting cloth and potions too.
The only thing this intro is missing is "but wait, there's more!"
What a legend !
Quick question, did you grind 40-60 as well?
I did a small bit of questing and a few dungeons, but yeah almost all of it was grinding. Had 1k gold on dinging 60.
@@SwoleBenji so do you have any info regarding 40-60 grinding spots? =)
Damn im a alliance player where schould i grind?
this might be the best guid i ever see for leveling, man awesome job!
Did it work for you??
@@CMarkem yes althou i dont tested all the route
where do you get gear? you bet on green drops? Auction House?
I hope i can find an answer here 😅
Jacob Brooks random drops from

You put a lot of work into that, kudos man! Very well done 👍
How about levels 40 to 60?
Thats when questing becomes a bit more enticing
Nice work!
Any chance for a 40-60 guide?
Just did this to level 6 . 54 minutes killing on spiders and vendoring a few times in between left deathknell with 12 silver
lvl 6 is super easy to get under 30 mins even as fast as 20 mins flat
Good for you. just reporting what my time was doing exactly what video said
Shootin Thebreeze lmfao same
this guide is awesome sir, using it right now on the live stress test.
How'd it work?
@@davidelder6028 great so far!! but can only hit lvl 15 atm.
Jeeze this seems so incredibly boring
walked 2 hours to desolace to see that those hyena's have terrible respawn rate and are in packs of 5 killing me after 1minute great guide 10/10
I dont think ,that everybody want to grind in Wow -Classics. You have to feel the Story and the Quest's.
But great video,to those, you want to grind.
uhm no you just get angry
Do you buy any gear on your journey or you only use the gear you loot?
I buy specific pieces. I even made a video covering it for rogues.
@@SwoleBenji Im going for mage so that does not help me :)
thanks :D
Grinding Guide for HORDE should have been in the title
‘Wait it’s ALL Horde!?’
‘Always was..’. 🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀
I tested your Durnholde farm and yeah, it's pretty good. Tomorrow I'm going to hit thousand needles. I'm level 29. So far so good. I've got 14g, a boe blue on AH and tons of cloth.
where's 40-60??? :( This is amazing
@@SwoleBenji makes perfect sense, thank you for the reply

Classic Chriss just go to all these spots on an alliance character lol
Avoid the npc’s tho ;))

Quick Question Benji.
Would this work for GRP grinding aswell? say a party consisting of 2 players, a healer and dps? great guide.
And would you predict a warrior being able to do this ? or would that be considered ... problematic.
It would, but if you have numbers might as well just quest.
@@SwoleBenji So you reckon i'd lvl faster with a grp burning through quests.
