Well done Hahn. Not easy to do and hard to explain how to. I have a Zastava M70 the same but was called the Mark X for Inter-arms. Great rifle. Cheers from Australia.
If you depress the entire spring mechanism, the back of the bolt exposes a hole you can put a tiny punch through, rather than use channel locks, this is from original amnual
I forgot about that myself, and had to use the aid of players and a vice to move the assembly forward enough to get the nail in. I will not fore that again. Thanks guys for sharing the knowledge.
I have always done it by hand. When I first tried I was like oh crap I don't want to use a wrench but if u just hold the rear end of the bolt with one hand as u hold the handle with other and press the pin in and turn. It will cock pretty easily!

My Mark X has a safety that was put onto it. It is my understanding that the safety should prevent the bolt from coming out of battery. Is that correct?
The locking mechanism keeps it from turning on the rear of the bolt if that is what u mean! The earlier mausers didn't have this and could spin and prevent the bolt from closing! But they all have bolts with saftey attached to rear of bolt. If It has had a bolt style safety like military mausers u just have to put it in middle position before removing bolt from rifle and push the pin and It will screw off and stay armed there for it will screw on and off without un arming it making tools unnecessary for dis or assembly
@@hahn-arms8006 tight in drag. After a shot, it /takes some muscle to open the bolt. after 3 shots, you don't want to shoot again. I just finished taking the bolt apart, anddid a good cleaning. range time isn't til Wednesday to see how it works.
@@hahn-arms8006 the chamber has a good shine to it. shooting steel case tiger from Russia. And brass case from Yugoslavia. the rifle has sat around for 20 or so years. so I cleaned it good before taking it out. My Savage did the same thing couple years ago. But a good grease job fixed it. not so lucky with this one.

does anyone find the bolt to be tight in this model? Even after a good cleaning, it works hard. Any thoughts why?
Tight as in how???? Like the spring or drag?
Mine is smooth
