    Is the test procedure the same with a C109? My FI light is on and the bike has Cobra pipes installed. I need to check if it has the exhaust servo eliminator and if it does not and I buy one, are they plug and play (easy to install)? I appreciate any help! Thank you!

      Hi Scott, all Suzuki's are the same exact procedure. The only difference would be where the white diagnostic plug is. My guess, since the C is just like the M for the most part, it is on the left side like in the video. If you pull it and see C46, then you know it is the servo issue and can order the servo buddy.

    Does suzuki store codes? I mean if it does go away and I use a scan tool, will it show up on the scanner? I've got a problem with my 18' GSX S750 where it randomly won't start after driving in the rain or having the bike washed. I changed the battery to a new one thinking it was that but after several washes and light rain, it didn't start!

      Sorry for delay. All Suzuki's are the same way and they do not store codes. Definitely wouldn't be the battery, but in the future you can do a "load test" on it and see if that is the issue. Another option is you can jump it from a jump box or a vehicle, but make sure you leave the vehicle off as it could damage the ecu. That would eliminate a battery. In your case, sounds like the water is getting to a connection and causing issues. I would start looking at areas that are exposed to water being able to get in and see if anything is obvious where a connector would be showing and water could get in.

      @@lhcycles1301 Thanks for the reply! I just couldn't figure out what part gets wet for it to short and not start at all! Really annoying! Also you mentioned that it is ok to leave the jumper wire on the plug? I have left mine on for several days now however haven't got the chance to ride yet because of the rain. Is it ok to leave it there permanently?

      @@CM-1988 you’re welcome. All the plug is, is a diagnostic port. You can leave it with a wire indefinitely. I had an intermittent issue on my 109 and could never catch the code. I left it on for 4 months and 3k miles and when it finally came on I got the code off the dash. lol. There is even a cheap tool on eBay that is basically a switch that can be left there permanently and just click it when the light comes on. It has the same connector so you could plug it in and leave it there.

    I did the test procedure and got a code C27. I looked it up and it says to check the front ignition coil. I tested for spark at the outer (right) front spark plug wire and it has no spark. I removed the spark plug cap and tried to see if the wire itself has spark and it does not. I`m thinking the coil is bad so I ordered one. Hopefully it takes care of it. I`m thinking that outer plug fires on the exhaust stroke (waste spark) as it has a standard coil and the inner stick coil is the primary? I appreciate any help once again! Thank you!

      Sorry for the delay. The main could almost never go bad. But yes, I have seen the coil packs that look like a stock go bad. Hopefully that is all it is.

    When I run codes it says c00 which means no codes, but after start up, when I rev it shuts off then says CHEC FI I don't know what's going on, then wont start again, also is it F1 or FL as in Fuel Light??

    • @lhcycles1301
      @lhcycles1301  Місяць тому

      FI light for Fuel Injection I believe. Check is normal when it shuts off. But if it is saying C00 You are not having any issues. There is a fuel light that blinks but that is yellow.

    What is usually the issue with 2nd gear? I just bought a c109 and it pops out of 2nd when you accelerate hard. How much does the repair usually cost? Thanks!

    • @lhcycles1301
      @lhcycles1301  11 місяців тому +1

      Hi Scott, the issue with 2nd gear is that the dogs get worn and it will start jerking and/or popping out. In the beginning, the shift fork holds the gear in place, but then the fork starts to get compromised and then it cannot hold it. It was never designed to anyway. The only way to fix this is to pull the motor, split the case and pull the transmission out. That would be shift rods, shift drum, shift forks and then the actual transmission itself. We send our transmissions out to have the gears fixed or replaced and then all are back cut. We then put hardened shift rods in to prevent the flex that is part of the problem, as well as replacing the one bad fork. Prices are all over the place but you need to make sure that whoever does it gets the transmission done right and sent out, not using the OEM parts that will possibly give you the same issues in the future. For us, we are right around $3600 to do everything. I have seen dealers and other shops as much as $5k using oem parts.

    i have issues with my Suzuki c50... 2009, only 7000 klms / 4300 miles on it... it sat for 2 years... i changed the plugs, the oil, new battery, emptied the tank as the fuel was rotten.... flushed the tank... bike runs only on one cylinder, so i believe one of the fuel injectors will be clogged... bike will not idle... I followed your instructions, comes up with a _c00 .... its a small c on mine, not sure if that means anything... but still its a 00... so this must be the injector?, what else could it be, any ideas

      Sorry for the delay as I thought I had responded. The check should be the same so not sure why it is still showing the C00 as long as you got the motor running. Check for spark on the dead cylinder and see if it is that first.

    Don't understand why Suzuki couldn't flash the Code number after the F1... you have to use key, turning off engine loses the F1 code most of the time...

      Agreed. They should have it hold the code and then do something easy to clear. Makes no sense. I think my victory shows it right away on the dash.
