Hey man, thanks for the video, my bandit 650 had the ''fi'' light up this weekend. It was the ''C44'' code, O2 sensor fault, bought a second hand one for 30€ 👌

this is Fuel Incjection system fault (FI) not F One code.
Short wire circuit connection runs CPU in diagnostic mode, and then U can read fault codes from CPU.

At the moment my light only comes and goes infrequently. Must I wait for it to be a permanent red FI light before I can try this?

_C00 doesn't it mean your TPS is off?

I thought it means that the idle speed is set too low. If the idle speed is set correct, it should show -C00
