@@bobgardner3832 you have to use something that allows electricity. I used a jumper cable from a computer motherboard. Metal Paperclip works but you also have to turn the key.

No, there isn't any in the 650. You don't need to do something. For the 650, the dealer mode is only to check warnings and error codes IF something is wrong and you see the FI indication on the dashboard.
Hey Doc, have you tried to use an OBD2 Bluetooth interface in that port? I got the 6 pin to OBD2 converter and an inexpensive ELM327 Bluetooth interface but unfortunately it does not work, the ELM327 does not power on. But if I try it in a car, it does work perfectly. So I am assuming the wiring is not correct. Any ideas?

Hello, there! Awesome reviews. I have an L8 650 Vstrom. The Fi appeared and motor sounds like a diesel motor. The way you described in another video should be a "Mode A" FI. Feels like a piston is not working or some valve or filter is clogged?. Almost feels like the motor is about to turn off, but then, i take another ride and everything's normal. Now is the second time it happens. Checked the dealer mode and shows a C65 code - which is listed as "idle speed out of range". Seen in another video that it might be an ISC Valve issue, but maybe the plugs? the TPS? Any ideas where to start, in your experience? Thanks!
Can you share more info? How many kms? When was it the last time you serviced the bike? when did you experience this, did you had the bike parked for long, did you wash the bike just before? Did you just before filled with gas from a gas station you not usually fill from? Do you usually ride and let the gas tank empty all the way down ? How long has it been you cleaned the air filter or changed the spark plugs? When it works like a diesel, is one cylinder colder than the other? Did you modify anything on the bike? A C65 is an out of range idle speed yes. First answer these questions and then you may try reseting the ISC valve PRE-SET depending.
Thank you a lot, I have C41 code on my 2017 DL1000. It could not start many times but then it started. I have no technical knowledge to do anything with this issue, do you think it is safe to start the bike and go with it to a service serveral km? Or do I need to load it up on a trailer? Thanks!
Hello Josef, please watch this video ua-cam.com/video/Fig9ki-6o98/v-deo.html from the 7th min 10sec. It explains that there are 2 error modes and one is serious and its not advised to drive or the engine does not start and the other not. Your problem may have several causes including fuel pump, fuel pump relay, bad connections, perhaps even bad fuel with particles that inhibit the pump. Hope that helps. If it is easy for you to use a trailer and the shop is far away yes.

Hi, the jumper cable is not a suzuki part number. I got mine from a pc motherboard. You can find any electrical cable with thick sides and it will work. Ride safe.

The wire is a bridging wire from a mother board but you can make one yourself with a normal wire, a bit thicker by soldering it. The easiest is to use a paper clip.

Hi there sir I watched your video and everything is explained perfectly. However, I wanted to ask , when I turn on my 2016 1000 vstrom, the FI appears and after it comes to operating temp (after 3-4 miles) it goes away. What do you think is the problem?
Take your second key of the motorcycle so that when the FI comes out again you use your spare key to remove the seat and bridge the connector to put the bike in dealer mode. In this way you will be able to capture the C error code before it goes away and this will give us some hints as to what is the actual problem.

πολυ πιθανον απο μπαταρια, κακη κατασταση πολλους ή παλιο καυσιμο. εχω βιντεο που λεει τι κανουμε οταν την βαζουμε σε ακινησια για να μην εχουμε θεματα. Πχ στο καυσιμο βαζουμε συντηρητικο. Δεν ειναι πια η βενζινη οπως ηταν εχει μεσα αιθανολη και χαλα πιο γρηγορα. δες το βιντεο
Take the jumper cable, start the bike and then as soon as you see F1 second put the bike into dealer mode while running. It will give you an error code
@@DrVstrom Yes, a 2016. I found the issue. There was a Little Rock stuck in the exhaust valve so it couldn't close. I opened it with a screw driver, the rock fell out, and the code cleared. Thanks so much for your help, your channel it great!

@@dnikony As i mentioned, mine was from a cable from a motherboard. Any cable that fits in the openings will do or any paperclip that is metal. You dont need specialized components or to buy anything.
Ευχαριστουμε Dr για τα βιντεο. Σε μοντελο 2008 χωρις ABS εβγαλε ξαφνικα FI που σε κανονικη λειτουργια εναλλασεται το FI με την ωρα και η μηχανη λειτουργει και εχει κοκκινο λαμπακι σταθερο. Σε Dealer mode που την εβαλα μονιμα τωρα μεχρι να την παω σε μαστορα μολις ανοιγω διακοπτη ειναι το κοκκινο λαμπακι σταθερο κ το σφαλμα _C17 (IAPS). Μολις βαζω μπροστα σβηνει το κοκκινο λαμπακι κ μενει σταθερο το _c17 και η μηχανη δουλευει κανονικα.. Πες μου αν αυτο συμβαινει παντα στο dealer mode και οτι φυσιολογικα σβηνει το κοκκινο λαμπακι και τι ειναι η κατω παυλα.

Η βλάβη σου σχετίζεται με αυτα που σου ειπα. Αν δεν ξεκινησεις απο εκει μην πας πουθενα. Δεν ειναι θεμα τι ξερω εγω αλλα τι ειναι σωστο να κανεις. Κουμπωσες τους αισθητηρες καλα? Ειδες αν καποιο σωληνακι ειναι κομμενο? Αν ειναι καποιο σωληνακι και πρεπει να ταξιδεψεις δες αν μπορεις να το μπαλωσεις προχειρα με ταινια αφου ειναι τοσο σημαντικο να φυγεις.

@@prockroustis what is the code? Put it in dealer mode and check. Then we need to fix the issue. Sometimes it might be quite simple. If its not a glitch then it means it needs to be fixed otherwise the f1 will keep coming back. Can you share the c code?

@@DrVstrom C 45 μου έβγαλε, που σημαίνει fuel trim bank 1 (the fuel trim correction is out of its threshold value) Το λαμπάκι ανάβει οταν γυρίζω απο βόλτα και την αφήνω στο ρελαντί για λίγο μεχρι να ανοίξω την εξώπορτα δλδ. Ποτέ δεν ανάβει οταν είναι κρύο το μοτέρ ή κατα τη διάρκεια της βόλτας. Επίσης ο καταλύτης (η εξάτμιση) μυρίζει περίεργα όταν αναβει το λαμπάκι, μαλλον επειδή γίνεται πιό πλούσιο το μείγμα αέρα-βενζίνης...

Yes, it does not work. The system is universal for cars but motorcycles are different.

Καλησπέρα! Μετά από δύο μήνες ακινησία λόγο χειμώνα σήμερα έβαλα πάνω την μπαταρία και πήγα να βάλω μπροστά την μηχανι σαν το δικό σου είναι ,δεν πήρε με την πρώτη και μετά μου έβγαλε fi mode και άναψε το λαμπάκι του κινητήρα.μπορει να είναι από κακή τάση της μπαταρίας?την έχω πάνω σε φορτιστής αλλά είναι κοντά 5 χρόνων
Έβαλα dealer mode και μου έβγαλε code 00
πολυ πιθανον απο μπαταρια, κακη κατασταση πολλους ή παλιο καυσιμο. εχω βιντεο που λεει τι κανουμε οταν την βαζουμε σε ακινησια για να μην εχουμε θεματα. Πχ στο καυσιμο βαζουμε συντηρητικο. Δεν ειναι πια η βενζινη οπως ηταν εχει μεσα αιθανολη και χαλα πιο γρηγορα. δες το βιντεο

how do you clear the code once you fix the issue
If the issue is fixed it clears by itself. Did you experience something different? What is/was your code?
So if I have a c00 code, how to I make the F1 light go away? It comes back every time I start the bike.
Take the jumper cable, start the bike and then as soon as you see F1 second put the bike into dealer mode while running. It will give you an error code
@@DrVstrom Thanks man! I DO have a fault code, c46, which explains why the F1 wouldn't go away.

I found the issue. There was a Little Rock stuck in the exhaust valve so it couldn't close. I opened it with a screw driver, the rock fell out, and the code cleared.

@@dnikony As i mentioned, mine was from a cable from a motherboard. Any cable that fits in the openings will do or any paperclip that is metal. You dont need specialized components or to buy anything.

Ευχαριστουμε Dr για τα βιντεο. Σε μοντελο 2008 χωρις ABS εβγαλε ξαφνικα FI που σε κανονικη λειτουργια εναλλασεται το FI με την ωρα και η μηχανη λειτουργει και εχει κοκκινο λαμπακι σταθερο. Σε Dealer mode που την εβαλα μονιμα τωρα μεχρι να την παω σε μαστορα μολις ανοιγω διακοπτη ειναι το κοκκινο λαμπακι σταθερο κ το σφαλμα _C17 (IAPS). Μολις βαζω μπροστα σβηνει το κοκκινο λαμπακι κ μενει σταθερο το _c17 και η μηχανη δουλευει κανονικα.. Πες μου αν αυτο συμβαινει παντα στο dealer mode και οτι φυσιολογικα σβηνει το κοκκινο λαμπακι και τι ειναι η κατω παυλα.
George C17 Intake Air Pressure Sensor (IAPS). Δες στο φιλτροκουτι εαν εχουν κουμπωσει δυο σενσορες που εχει εδω μπορεις να τους δεις ua-cam.com/video/mOkYOSNIsR0/v-deo.html .Επισης ο σενσορας εχει σωληνακι προς τον μπροστινο κυλινδρο (C17) στο throttle body και που μπορει να εχει βουλωσει η κοπει.
@@DrVstrom Α οκ ευχαριστω πολυ νομιζω τοτε οτι μπορω να το ελεγξω και μονος μου αφου εχω βγαλει ντεποζιτο φιλτροκουτι καμποσες φορες κι αν δω κομμενο σωληνα παω στο μαστορα.
Το κοκκινο λαμπακι που σβηνει στο ντηλερ μοντ οταν βαζω μπροστα αν μπορεις να μου πεις ειναι φυσιολογικο ενω σε κανονικη λειτουργια ειναι αναμμενο κ επισης η κατω παυλα αν εχει να κανει με χαμηλο μειγμα λογω του προβληματος. Εχω παρατηρησει και μια ανεπαισθητη περιεργη οσμη μετα το σφαλμα να ερχεται απο μπροστα.
Φτιαξε πρωτα το προβλημα οπως ειπαμε

Λογικό να μην τα γνωρίζεις κι όλα αν δεν σου έχει τύχει. Ευχαριστώ πάντως.
Η βλάβη σου σχετίζεται με αυτα που σου ειπα. Αν δεν ξεκινησεις απο εκει μην πας πουθενα. Δεν ειναι θεμα τι ξερω εγω αλλα τι ειναι σωστο να κανεις. Κουμπωσες τους αισθητηρες καλα? Ειδες αν καποιο σωληνακι ειναι κομμενο? Αν ειναι καποιο σωληνακι και πρεπει να ταξιδεψεις δες αν μπορεις να το μπαλωσεις προχειρα με ταινια αφου ειναι τοσο σημαντικο να φυγεις.

Yes the way you describe it your clutch lever switch probably has the the problem from the fall.

@@prockroustis what is the code? Put it in dealer mode and check. Then we need to fix the issue. Sometimes it might be quite simple. If its not a glitch then it means it needs to be fixed otherwise the f1 will keep coming back. Can you share the c code?

Φίλε καλησπέρα, Έχω αγοράσει ενα ολοκαίνουριο sv 650 του 2020, δεν πρόλαβα να κάνω 300 χιλιόμετρα και μου έβγαλε check engine!!!! Θα πιάσει και σε μένα αυτό με το καλώδιο ή όχι;
Εαν εχεις την ιδια φυσα ναι. Κοιταβτο βιντεο και εαν εχει τα ιδια pins ναι.
@@DrVstrom Την ίδια ακριβώς έχει, και τα καλώδια είναι ακριβώς τα ίδια, μαύρο ασπρο και ασπρο κόκκινο. Θα το δοκιμάσω αύριο να δω τι είναι, γιατί η μηχανή δουλεύει μια χαρά, δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί άναψε το check engine
@@DimPot καμια φορα ειναι και απο υγρασια η αν καποιο καλωδιο δεν κανει καλη επαφη.
@@DrVstrom C 45 μου έβγαλε, που σημαίνει fuel trim bank 1 (the fuel trim correction is out of its threshold value) Το λαμπάκι ανάβει οταν γυρίζω απο βόλτα και την αφήνω στο ρελαντί για λίγο μεχρι να ανοίξω την εξώπορτα δλδ. Ποτέ δεν ανάβει οταν είναι κρύο το μοτέρ ή κατα τη διάρκεια της βόλτας. Επίσης ο καταλύτης (η εξάτμιση) μυρίζει περίεργα όταν αναβει το λαμπάκι, μαλλον επειδή γίνεται πιό πλούσιο το μείγμα αέρα-βενζίνης...
@@DimPot η μηχανη σου ειναι ακομα σε εγγυηση. Αν δεν αλλαξες κατι εσυ, τοτε πρεπει να σου την δουν στην αντιπροσωπεια. Μην πεις επισης οτι την εβαλες σε dealer mode. Μηπως προσφατα την επλυνες η την ειχες για αρκετο καιρο παρκαρισμενη? Βενζινη βαζεις απο ενα βενζιναδικο?
