Alarm Systems Store is an excellent source for an alarm system. They supplied me excellent support with my purchase of a DSC power series alarm system. 👍

Excellent, straight forward tutorial. My Power 1832 was a snap to program following your simple guide. I also highly recommend a PK5500 full message keypad! Makes it easier for less experienced installers/users.

@Fabian Malcolm thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

You can check the installer and master code by entering their respective section. The numbers on the top line will indicate the numbers in binary. You scroll through using the arrow keys. For example, in Section 006 the default installers code will show the 1 and 3. For the master code it will show 1, then 2, then 1 & 2, then 3 corresponding to 1-2-3-4 as the default.

How do I reprogram after canceling our monitor service to stop sending signals to avoide the error code 4 ? We have the wifi connection. The person keeps saying we need a service call or get monitoring again. Can I just disconnect the communication wire?

Hello so what happens if you bought a house with this setup and the master code and others codes are not default and changed is there a way to restore everything to original default?

Go to your main board, unplug the battery (observe polarity for reconnecting), unplug your transformer, add a short wire from "PGM1" to "Z1" (we temporarily remove any zone 1 wire), plug the transformer back in for 10 seconds, then remove the insulation and jumper wire, reinstall the zone 1 wire, replace the battery and the defaults should be restored. CAUTION, this removes all zone programming attributes/definitions so you will have to reprogram them along with new master code, installer code and any user codes you may wish to have.

Kinda strange it doesn’t ask you to confirm the new code. That would be a good failsafe so that you don’t inadvertently lock yourself out
