The fact you don’t get invited to Zombies early access is CRAZY, really shows how Activision only wants people who will talk anything up that they have to show, they dont want ANY feedback, they simply want people who will accept whatever they have to offer.
yeah..that's called modern marketing. no scrutiny/advice/criticism. praise only. and they will literally pay people (after they've signed NDA's) to help shill whatever they're selling. welcome to the real world my dude
Don’t forget. 3arc also was working on Black ops 4 zombies when having to work on Cold War. They haven’t been able to fully work on their own game since BO3 technically. In BO4 they had to go to Cold War which was a sledgehammer game originally, while in Cold War they also had to work with sledgehammer for vanguard zombies, then as that was ending they then had to go to MW3 zombies. The whole 3arc dev team haven’t been working on the same project since bo3 probably.
I think they're taking advantage of the extra year they got due to MW3's existence As far as we understand, the Zombies team over there is like......a couple of people, and mostly just porting stuff over/overseeing the MW3 zombies mode Same thing happened with Vanguard zombies Cold war is an exception because it was made during a pandemic and Treyarch had to pull out of BO4 to finish that game So in all honesty, Treyarch has been holding the COD series for YEARS now
@@retorikhal Jason Blundell and Dave Anthony (2 high ranking Treyarch devs) did leave the studio and form their own. And 4 years later they had to shut down, even though PlayStation was directly funding them. Nothing was ever shown and, to my knowledge, no information about the game was ever released.
@@retorikhal I think the real problem is Activision, just like most Triple A Studio publishers, they set a deadline for a game, to be made and completed within a 1-and a half year time-span, and hope it comes out top-notch.
I can't even get Milo notifications without feeling nostalgic. That's how much of an impact you've had on the community. To be back in 2015, with BO3 zombies all over again; what a time to be around.

Dude.. First of your videos I think I’ve ever seen, and I’ve got a GREAT amount of respect for you!! Asking the right questions, drilling in the context, maintaining an appropriate amount of pressure, not too lenient or too aggressive anywhere… You seem very fair and honest, and I just absolutely respect that. I don’t follow CoD zombies so closely these days, but you’ve given a fantastic overview of the past few years that a relative outsider can follow with ease. Thank you.

Zombies became an afterthought the moment map packs went away. Zombies was such an important part of selling doc packs years ago so it got more priority and budget. Now all zombies content is free so there’s little incentive on prioritizing zombies post-launch content. Now the priority are bundles.
@@fuzzy8593 It’s pretty great, especially for casual play. There’s lots of little things to do and collect. Plus fighting the Orda boss is fun, especially when you get higher in the rounds.
@zombieoverlord65 how is that his fault? They promise all these things and then don’t deliver. That’s on them. Milo literally said that multiple times in the video
The thing is Treyarch hasn't had a full dev cycle to make a game since BO3. BO4 had to be almost completely remade halfway through its dev cycle because Activision didn't like their original plan for BO4. Cold War was made during Covid, and Black Ops 6 was made while they were simultaneously tending to BO2 remastered and MW3 Zombies. You could also argue that BO3 was their only full dev cycle ever, as prior to that they just had 2 studios making the annual releases instead of 3. They got 3 years to work on BO3 from 2012-2015, and they never got 3 years ever again.
The way Activision manages their studios then fires large amounts of staff is basically worker abuse. Like wtf, if they let the studios be more autonomous they'd do better, there'd be more successful games and a happy audience. And less treating workers like cattle.
unfortunately it always has been it doesent get the status it deserves. they need to split zombies from cod full stop in order for us to get what we always hope for in a ombies game.
@@livechimera666while I get what your saying the only game that came close to having enough zombies content to have a separate game was bo3 (i don’t believe in bo4)
The bugged area you were talking about was even crazier than we thought. I passed it once and it showed massive buildings not willing to render in, have a feeling they wanted to make a town there but stopped working on it.
It’s honestly sickening how little respect they give Treyarchs zombies team, ever since bo3 they drop the best selling dlc, then it just feels like they hate them they get their budget cut for bo4 then have to pick up every talentless studios slack over and over again
I'm currently still playing a lot of BO3 (picked it up late, and played BO1 zombies a ton before that), and I'm kinda burnt on MWZ, so if I'm booting up the modern COD it's to play DMZ. Probably when they turn off dmz, I'll just uninstall and save the space. I'm just not really interested anymore
Its saddening, the number of games and passion projects that've been cancelled or basically abandoned because higher ups are out of touch and too profit motivated
Everyones fault for still buying games from developers we know dont care. How many times can a company like EA scam its customers before they stop buying EA games?
Millo you are the voice of reason. As a long term zombie fan, I can say in my experience Ive seen people I used to watch have been bought out, and make a majority of zombies videos based on what they were paid to cover. Youve always kept it real and say what everyone is feeling and call out the bs. Ill always watch your videos and really happy you are using timestamps/ chapters feature on youtube.
For the bit about Treyarch's insane timeline, I think it's important to go as far back as BO4. We get BO3 in the normal cadence of CoD in the 2010s, they start working on BO4 while Infinite Warfare and WW2 are being developed. But then, BRs start popping off. It is plausible to assume that in addition to dropping the campaign entirely, that timetables for zombies were impacted to get Blackout out the door, and then support both the 2019 zombies dlc, and blackout until warzone launched and then the timeline detailed in the video starts. As far as I can tell, they haven't had a break or a normal 3 year development cycle since Black Ops 3.
When you pulled up the whole timeline from Cold War to now of Zombies, it pretty much reaffirmed my desire for one thing. Please DONT give us zombies every game. It just gets stale and evidently the game mode is suffering because of it. I honestly miss Extinction, if that had taken off and Zombies was able to exist alongside it, rotating out between the games, I’d have loved that. Now we get probably exhausted, burned out devs who aren’t really capable of getting a good mode out because of said exhaustion.
For Infinity Ward I think survival would have been a decent thing to try to expand upon. But they've never given it the resources it deserves and so it's always stayed as just a little footnote extra in the original modern warfare 3 and 2019. It sucks, I see so much potential in that mode and it would give us an important break from zombies to make sure we don't burn out and most importantly, that the devs at treyarch don't keep spreading themselves to thin.
@@curtislowe3087honestly helping newer players does feel good. @curtislowe3087 help people get schematics for what? Bro this type of whiteboard, investigative journalism is genuinely so important. It breaks down the ins and outs of how poorly activision is manning this ship. Thank you for your hard work!
The biggest downfall to COD was when they made Sledgehammer a lead studio. There's not one game that they have been able to develop without one of the other studios holding their hand. Treyarch has caught the ass end of the deal by having to develop zombies for them. I'm not sure why they couldn't just continue their own story with the Extinction mode. Hopefully, Microsoft demotes Sledgehammer back to being a support studio and lets IW and Treyarch go to a 3 year cycle. They also need to get rid of Warzone or make it a totally disconnected game from the main title. Maybe then, COD can get back to making good games.
The problem is that Sledgehammer has been screwed over and over again by Activision. The only game that they fully developed without interruption was AW. Ever since Cod WW2 they have been trying to save the franchise with something as well, but Activision keeps screwing them.
We will never see the meticulously detailed maps of bo3 era. I dunno if its even comin back at all. And i still struggle with that. The drive to make something exceptional i feel is gone.
Honestly, BO4 maps had TONS of details even compared to Bo3. Ancient Evil is by far the best and most detailed, most replayable and enjoyable map of all time.
BO3 is what killed Zombies. They escalated the game mode to the point where the Story had no hope of ever making sense again and overcomplicated the game play.
i met Nolan North at comic con last november, i asked him will richtofen and the crew ever return and he said "the doctors work is not complete". take that as you will
I just can’t believe we got a zombies themed season with like no zombies content, it’s just sad… I hope the next zombies is good but I have no excitement left in me right now. It’s tiresome.
I’m pretty sure that round based will come back this years, the problem is that i’m 100% sure that it will be another soulless zombie mode with that garbage Dark Aether story, uninteresting maps, multiplayer mechanics. We will never have any high quality zombie content like Bo3-4…
I'm gonna be brutally honest, if Zombies does not return to the "old" style of zombies (as in WAW,Bo1,Bo2 and Bo3) then it's a skip. It's criminal how much this mode fell off after it peaked in Bo3 and unfortunately I really don't see it coming back, it's been 9 years since Zombies started going downhill and has showed no signs of slowing down. Due to the sheer amount of time that has passed, I doubt much of the current Zombies audience even got to experience the heights of the Zombies mode, they don't know what they're missing and therefore aren't even asking for it anymore. Times have changed, the fans are different and so are the staff members at all involved studios. The way I see it is if you're a fan of the "old" style of zombies then it's time to let this franchise go because it's not coming back. We _might_ be able to have some fun with faithful remasters, maybe we'll even get a Bo3 remaster a few years down the line if we're lucky, but even then it's difficult to trust that these remasters will be of passable quality.
and stop buying cod...lol fellas we would get replacements its okay....either that or the owner will sell it someone who can actually do something with it. Stop acting so powerless and invoke your consumer card...
The thought of even buying the next Call of Duty for just the Zombies experience hurts. I feel like I've been burned out trying to defend this series post-Black Ops 3 and trying to be excited for the next game

@@BeastMaster-lb5wu I can never get behind this reasoning/logic. If you get bored of using the same 4 perks, then you as the player can simply use different ones. Nearly any combination of 4 perks is viable to get to Round 30(what I'd say the average hardcore fan plays to). I'll be mostly using BO3 on Solo and on Consoles for my examples. JN, SC, QR, and DT are the standard for most players due to them working well together. JN, WW, SU, and EC won't yield high DPS, but you will be able to avoid Zombies better, and if you do get caught you have plenty of health and safety nets to escape. DT, SP, DS, and EC/JG/WW will award you the highest DPS possible but you'll only have 1 safety net. There's plenty of other combinations depending on the game, and map. Now factor in the weapons you use, where you'll train or camp, how many players you want to play with, what Gobble Gum you'll use(if you use any), etc. and you'll be able to play Zombies without it getting stale. The only way the mode can truly become stale is if you stick to the same game, play the same map, only use the same perks, only use the same weapons, only ever camp/train, only ever play solo(I do, but I just prefer solo gaming), only use the same Gobble Gum, never do and Easter Eggs/only ever do Easter Eggs, etc. That's how the mode becomes stale. *that was also without even factoring in other Zombies Gamemodes(like, Gauntlet, Rush, Onslaught, Outbreak, MWZ, Grief, Turned, Gun Game, etc.)or Custom Zombies.
I don't understand why they change the whole way Zombies looks, changing it from round based to DMZ style. Only to then not give us any new contact directly after changing it. Feels really weird

Yeah I think the rest of the year is just gonna be more warlords and more dark rift areas that reuse areas from Al Mazrah. Which is cool if you like that stuff, but I’d rather see some bigger changes to the main map and more zombie types/bosses. I’d also love to see all the quality of life changes we saw DMZ get, like various upgradeable things we can grind for. Like wallet/stash sizes, cooldowns, etc. But I was expecting that would be something we’d see from day one since DMZ already fleshed it out, so my hopes arent high for that either…
I'm pretty sure the biggest reason we didn't see the QoL changes to DMZ is because they were working from an earlier fork that didn't include them. Now that everyone who was working on those other versions aren't working on it anymore there isn't high confidence that it will be brought in unfortunately
What makes the situation even worse is how the older call of duty titles are barely discounted years later, and the DLC are still $15 (even World at War), so there isn’t really an affordable way of new zombie players to go back to the older games to experience the rise and climax of zombies gameplay and story. They understand how good we had it 😭😭😭
WaW zombies used to be on the app store for like 8 bucks. All the maps! I think it's long gone by now. In thise days there was no controller support in those apps either so had to get used to the janky controls
I absolutely think it's true what you said Milo if people knew that trayarch was only working on the first season of this game people would not have bought it
That was a painful watch. Not because of you personally, but because of its accuracy and what has happened to a loved game mode. I’m a vet of these games likes yourself, been a gamer since the early 80’s and lived through the shift to MTs. Game quality has suffered massively because of it. Sadly, I don’t see board level loosening their grip on how games are developed.
Well this is depressing. I was aware of all these things, but having it all summarised and presented in it's whole has really made it hit home. I'll be interested to see the state of call of duty a year from now. It seemed like they were getting back on track, figuring things out, making the game (wz/mp) better, but I don't see that positive trajectory lasting very long after these lay offs. Can't imagine the chaos that this has caused all the studios.
@@DatBoiKobe1600 There's nothing left for them to save. If they can't even be bothered to create a half decent campaign for call of duty, or a multiplayer? Zombies is well past dead. It's lesser played that either of those gamemodes. Zombies will suck because in order for it to be good, it requires activision to do a complete 180 on their business model, which they won't do. They'd have to reroute everything away from warzone and kill it off.
I would describe it like when you fall in love with your girlfriend, then you break up. You spend a few months apart and move on, then she calls you out of the blue and get back together. It’s the feeling that things will never be the same, but you desperately want to go back
Seems like whoever is running Treyarch social media is not familiar with what we (the zombies community) mean by easter eggs. They seem to have thought the asker meant the general meaning of easter egg in gaming which is hidden/subtle little secrets or references. Yikes.
The person who runs the account will be getting their answers from someone else with the knowledge. So they are getting false information from someone else to then tell millions of people.
23:00 god, this is why i love watching milo's videos about zombies. unapologetically & validly calling 3arc & ATVI out on their bullshit in the best way possible.
5:47 I have seen games where terrain is exactly like this. Difference is, the focus isn't as much on the terrain of a map but more what you do on the map in that game. Everything being multiplayer focused doesn't surprise me, I remember that feeling during Black Ops Cold War where it felt the Multiplayer got the cool stuff and Zombies was given a portion of content in comparison. That being said, for a game like zombies, having a map that doesn't have issues like that is important. I can only hope that we as a consumer are given the benefit of variety when it come to games with Round-based Zombies.
Amazing video. Couldn't agree more with your points. It's actually refreshing to see a huge cod zombies youtuber actually speak out and say it how it is.
I love these zombie community as a whole videos. 4 months into MWZ and I haven't played it in weeks, I was grinding camos for the first 2 months but I got bored as a solo player One thing I saw recently is Big T from OpTic playing Bo3 custom zombies for the first time. It was also his first real time playing Bo3 zombies ever Hes always been on the outside of zombies, being a pro during Bo1 and 2 then retiring he just stopped playing games in general. Got into MWZ and within the past week tried Bo3 finally and he seems genuinely excited the whole time. Even the little things of 'Which door do I buy?' and then exploring the choice you made. If Black ops 6 returns to traditional zombies, it would be massive. Their have been 7 or 8 years worth of gamers that haven't had a new map, perk, EE. It just makes me think of how long the time gap between Bo2 and 3 felt. Good vid Milo 🖤💛🖤🗽🖤💛🖤
As a zombies fan of 12+ years 🥲 this brings a tear to my eye. First off give me hope the new fans still recognize how great older zombies was. Second cause it makes me kinda of sad. Sad the new fans don’t get to live through what so many of us did in the peak years of COD Zombies. The mode was so amazing and the community around it even more so!
Nacht is! Became addicted to zombies from that. During the time of launch, there was a wild rumor if we played it to high rounds, a hatch in ceiling would open up. Never did, but we imagined.
Great video Milo! I always find my self back in Bo3 and Bo4, and I can’t find any thing that can draw me in to the future state of Zombies. It’s just a constant state of waiting for something that seems to never come for future zombies content.
Black Ops Cold War was actually really good. It’s not the same as BO1-BO3, but it’s a really fun spin on classic zombies. Outbreak is pretty fun too, 100x better than MWZ. I would recommend playing it.
@@legendofLINK445Cold War is mid at best. The game lacks that “zombies charm”, operators make the game feel soulless, and maps just feel like they are ripped out of multiplayer. Die Machine is the only map that feels somewhat like a zombies map. Easter eggs in Cold War are extremely boring and the cutscenes are lame af.
Only TWO of the maps aren't taken from the campaign/multipler mode. Die Machine and Firebase Z, and even then, Firebase Z reuses a LOT of campaign assets
I haven't purchased since Cold War, only purchased for the Zombies mode, and I find myself going back to WW2 and BO3 more and more and finding it harder and harder to get into a 4-player match.
if i was in treyarchs shoes now, i would just look at what made great zombies maps great like mob of the dead. It was a fun and creepy atmosphere, the crew had personality, and it was fun to do mini quests for the wonder weapon, hells retrievers, and pack a punch (with a sense of progression)
well there's a lot of key things that zombies has moved away, and would need to start doing again, mainly bringing back the 4 perk limit with more than 4 perk machines per map, and bringing back the old points system that had a sliding scale of guns that go from "Points" to "Damage," with rounds slowly pushing every gun into the "points" category, except infinite damage WWs
My guess is MS probably looked at progress on the new Treyarch game & probably pulled them off of MW3 Zombies to make sure it gets out on time without issue. Ideally this means Treyarch from now will focus on their own games & stop getting dragged every which way to fix other studio problems but it's still shitty they were pulled off a project without much of any transparency about it.
Zombies should be a standalone game at this point. Especially since blundell fumbled his own game. Microsoft should seriously consider releasing chronicles 2 on bo3. I would spend 70 bucks on that. Or just release every classic map from waw to bo3 on current gen as a stand alone title. With no changes aside from maybe some new weapons and updated graphics.
I think we have to sadly come to realize that 3arc is now the "alternative mode" dev for all CoDs and their job is to deliver a somewhat good enough experience at launch for people to buy the game and then be moved to the next project because once we gave the 70$, once gajillions of preorders and day 1 purchases are made there is no incentive to deliver good content and support. At best there is incentive to make people buy mtx and season passes but the alternative mode is not really the cash cow in this particular prospect so zombies player are mainly there to cough the 70$ and voilà, job done, next. So regarding Gulf War, I think we're gonna have a banger map to start with, probably some sort of upgraded outbreak stuff and then be left in the gutter with poor support and lackluster content because that's what actually works best for short term profit. The layoffs will probably impact quality control and the communication between community and devs so it's gonna be less content, that content will be messier, with feedback from players going into a void and that's it. Sadly I think the time for cautious optimism has already gone by and we're very right to be actually pessimistic. Because even if Gulf War is a banger at release, it doesn't mean we have not been fooled, we will have to look at a good chunk of the Gulf War cycle to see if it was worth it and nobody is gonna wait month and month to buy the game. It's catch 22. If we flock to the Gulf War zombie day 1 we're doing what's signaling them to continue this short term profit approach, and if we're not maybe exec will only think "hey, that mode is not working just scrap it". I feel for the devs who are being stretched thin and robbed of their creative energy and just stripped of their humanity to be mindless cogs in this profit extraction machine, this must be absolutely soul crushing I don't think we can support this anymore... It saddens me so much I love zombie but as many other things it also has fallen into the hell hole that is AAA gaming in this late stage capitalism crap 😧
People have blind faith in Treyarch despite Treyarch often being the test dummy because people blindly eat it up. Treyarch introduced the first paid weapon, the Peacekeeper, leading to the hell we have now. I remember when Treyarch said no to unique weapons in Loot Boxes... then we got stuff like the Marshal in loot boxes which was a pistol that was as strong as the strongest shotgun and could be akimbo or their common base game crossbow was loot box locked. Another notable example is their introduction of the Season Pass which raised skin prices by 10x. Even if Treyarch was forced to do this it is pretty telling that anytime Treyarch's name is used it is entirely to capitalize on blind faith to push things people won't be happy with. This is one of three major reasons I don't like Treyarch stuff, they are traps. It doesn't matter if it was 1 month or 5 days, Treyarch is enough to trick most people. Should things have been honest? Yes, but this is CoD where at least since Black Ops 2 they've been dishonest. Stop trusting CoD, they will lie, treat you like garbage, milk you, and throw you to the side.
I personally feel like I enjoy the videos where you dissect certain topics like in this case the most. Just in general offering your thorough viewpoints and diving deep. Could be almost anything. Maybe this strength of yours stems from your physics background but I would definitely like to see more videos like these. Looking at how something is connected like you did in your zombies theory / story videos or topics from life in general. I know the state of Zombies is currently quite sad but I hope you understand what I mean. There are so many of the same videos out on UA-cam but I only get these unique deep dives from you. The format doesn't even matter to me so in summary thank you for this video I guess and have a nice day! :)
I agree with a lot of what was said here. I think we’re now seeing the repercussions of the developers and their management attempting to please the shareholders instead of the fans and players. Actual content is put on the backburner in favor of pushing out 20 dollar skins and gun camo bundles. Yes these are probably a lot easier to code in, but the fact still remains they are putting people on that instead of trying to make enough content to get people coming back.
Its crazy what we as the zombies community have been through. Going from watching the first ee4c live to this has been a while ride and the only thing we can do is hope for the devs to be given what they need to cook up a game like cold war. Thank you Milo for being the voice for so many of us
as an overwatch and COD fan it's insane how many issues regarding mismanagement are the same for both games, so glad Big Bobby got the boot hopefully the devs we love can get back to working a normal job and not need to also navigate a minefield of abhorrent workplace conditions on top of it all
Hopefully whoever is on the project of gulf war zombies does it justice like treyarch's studios team did in BO1 nacht der unt, mob of the dead, og kino... heads of Activision, Treyarch, etc.. all the other studios too saw the cash cow and milked it for what it had... glad the community is realizing it.. (at least the ones awake to see the bs) * there's much more too it, w/o doubt.
I'm glad you can put everything in a video of not only what's wrong with zombies right now but with the entire management behind CoD in general. It's frustrating to see such a beloved gamemode and studio behind said gamemode get gutted so badly. Treyarch has been nonstop working on multiple projects, I know we give them praise but it seems like Activision uses that praise as an excuse for them to spread Treyarch super thin on each project instead of letting them work on their own games. What made zombies fun was maps that had a nice flow that you can play for hours and hours, regardless if it was doing the same stuff for the hundredth time but now, it seems like that concept is "outdated" and need to "reinvent" the mode... Even though none of us was asking for this. I just hope Gulf War zombies will be similar to Cold War since at the very least it was an actual fun time for me, I still play it from time to time.
I always say this “Kevin is the wrong person for zombies.” I have little to no hope with him making decisions for zombies. Rip Jason. Always will be missed.

I think they're taking advantage of the extra year they got due to MW3's existence
As far as we understand, the Zombies team over there is like......a couple of people, and mostly just porting stuff over/overseeing the MW3 zombies mode
Same thing happened with Vanguard zombies

Bro bo2 is a reddit fed rumor. you're a dork.

Deep thoughts from a 14 y/o
Treyarch if youre seeing this please save us treyarch please

that's the case for all of the studios
@@nomicnevermic true except infinity warfare they always get there way
That’s not true, there was no zombies in MW2019.
You nailed my biggest thing, I have no reason to play the game, so I don’t play it.

Rumors are Sledgehammer is refusing to develop a game for 2025.
The problem is that Sledgehammer has been screwed over and over again by Activision. The only game that they fully developed without interruption was AW. Ever since Cod WW2 they have been trying to save the franchise with something as well, but Activision keeps screwing them.
Real as fuck. They genuinely need to get rid of that sorry ass company. They haven’t made a single good cod

Having 3 of 4 perk slots be taken up by the same 3 perks every game would make it stale eventually,
@@BeastMaster-lb5wu I can never get behind this reasoning/logic.
*that was also without even factoring in other Zombies Gamemodes(like, Gauntlet, Rush, Onslaught, Outbreak, MWZ, Grief, Turned, Gun Game, etc.)or Custom Zombies.
having no perk limit like cold war was nice...@@BeastMaster-lb5wu

Marketing deception in a modern COD game?? That’s impossible Milo
What makes the situation even worse is how the older call of duty titles are barely discounted years later, and the DLC are still $15 (even World at War), so there isn’t really an affordable way of new zombie players to go back to the older games to experience the rise and climax of zombies gameplay and story.
Yikes.
I doubt they hire ppl who ANY passion for the game let alone any knowledge
they just hire people who make it to round 7 on SOE and pat themselves on the back
The person who runs the account will be getting their answers from someone else with the knowledge. So they are getting false information from someone else to then tell millions of people.
23:00 god, this is why i love watching milo's videos about zombies. unapologetically & validly calling 3arc & ATVI out on their bullshit in the best way possible.
This is what you call passion for the love of zombies 🤕
5:47 I have seen games where terrain is exactly like this. Difference is, the focus isn't as much on the terrain of a map but more what you do on the map in that game.
Everything being multiplayer focused doesn't surprise me, I remember that feeling during Black Ops Cold War where it felt the Multiplayer got the cool stuff and Zombies was given a portion of content in comparison.
That being said, for a game like zombies, having a map that doesn't have issues like that is important. I can only hope that we as a consumer are given the benefit of variety when it come to games with Round-based Zombies.
Thanks for speaking up Roffle!
Amazing video. Couldn't agree more with your points. It's actually refreshing to see a huge cod zombies youtuber actually speak out and say it how it is.
I love these zombie community as a whole videos.
4 months into MWZ and I haven't played it in weeks, I was grinding camos for the first 2 months but I got bored as a solo player
One thing I saw recently is Big T from OpTic playing Bo3 custom zombies for the first time. It was also his first real time playing Bo3 zombies ever
Hes always been on the outside of zombies, being a pro during Bo1 and 2 then retiring he just stopped playing games in general.
Did cold war not count? I genuinely liked that zombies experience and the story behind it.
I just played WaW Nacht der Untoten for the first time a month ago. It felt like a piece of art.
What we have now just feels like a piece of software.
@@spencertaylor-mrliltay god same here, seeing people open their eyes to the beauty of BO1 & BO2 brings me such joy
20:15 how is a remaster going to have a DLC season? That takes some incredible ingenuity in greed.
Incredible ingenuity in greed is Activision’s mission statement.
I love the thumbnail. feels like when i was 12 and just searched up how to do math on youtube.
I could listen to you talk about anything, presented very well
Great video, summed up a lot of UA-camrs last 20 videos all in one , now I feel caught up
Treyarch if youre seeing this please save us treyarch please
I haven't purchased since Cold War, only purchased for the Zombies mode, and I find myself going back to WW2 and BO3 more and more and finding it harder and harder to get into a 4-player match.
Well really sucks is zombies is a duration type of game as long as you can stay alive but yet they put a 45 minute time limit that that’s what sucks
Bro I bought it on every platform cause all the UA-camrs said it was good
Wait, there’s a state of cod zombies? Surprised it still exists after they ruined it and then continued to ruin it more and more instead of fixing it.
if i was in treyarchs shoes now, i would just look at what made great zombies maps great like mob of the dead. It was a fun and creepy atmosphere, the crew had personality, and it was fun to do mini quests for the wonder weapon, hells retrievers, and pack a punch (with a sense of progression)
That goes for all devs for all modes
well there's a lot of key things that zombies has moved away, and would need to start doing again, mainly bringing back the 4 perk limit with more than 4 perk machines per map, and bringing back the old points system that had a sliding scale of guns that go from "Points" to "Damage," with rounds slowly pushing every gun into the "points" category, except infinite damage WWs
I'll never forget you @MrRoffleWaffles, your a legend
Much respect for you on this topic! Still my favorite zombies youtuber. Thanks for keeping it 💯
Treyarch if youre seeing this please save us treyarch please
Charging 70 bucks for zombies when it's pretty much a mod is actually fucking crazy
Thank you Milo for being the voice for so many of us
Thank you for taking the time out to break all this down. You, JD and Noah are my go to zombies content creators. The goats 👊🏻😎
Treyarch if youre seeing this please save us treyarch please
Talking about features/updates that were talked about then dropped, I remember waiting for factions to come to bo4 zombies for the whole lifecycle.
Because they had to make the atrocity that is cold war zombies
Thanks!
as an overwatch and COD fan it's insane how many issues regarding mismanagement are the same for both games, so glad Big Bobby got the boot hopefully the devs we love can get back to working a normal job and not need to also navigate a minefield of abhorrent workplace conditions on top of it all
You are delusion@l Microsoft is one if not the worst company on Videogames.
Bro you've made an hour video and we are going to watch it.
You can chill w the concise concern and the rush.
You're good.
Nah, video wasn't rushed. Beautiful video.
They should realize that graphics and engine choice can be considered a stylistic choice and go back to the vintage look and feel of BO1/BO2 zombies. I miss that
Zombies was originally created by Treyarch in World at War and if they are not behind Zombies anymore, then neither am I.
Im really high but ur lights in the top left kept making me think i cracked my screen... Great video milo
Bruh
Zombies is dead man
The only hope we have is the “supposed” bo2 remaster
Nice
@@sadbee6700 it's either gonna be like the mw series with the same name but it's a completely different game, or it's gonna be worse and I don't have hope for it
Well I mean that is what a zombie is right?? Dead?
Yes, yes they are.
The thumbnail is *chef's kiss*
As for the actual topic: the fact they actaully spent time, resources and man power to bring Zombies content to MP and Warzone to begin with was a spit kn the face of the Zombies community. All of it should've went directly into and ONLY to Zombies.
Respectfully, a boycott is absolutely necessary and has been for the last 3 or 4 years.
to be fair, it's been a long time since one could "morally" support a COD game, lest we forget the whole highway of death historical revisionism in the MW2 remake
Even tho it isn’t really like zombies, Helldivers 2 I think has enough similarities for the zombies fan base to enjoy. 4 player co op holding ur own against waves of enemies in a totally new way has been incredible. As someone who loves zombies, I still get a lot of cod zombies vibes from it. It’s such a breath of fresh air in the shooter genre I really haven’t had this much fun in a game in a very long time. Would love to see Milo try it out
i wanna try it but i heard the anti cheat was really aggressive and stays after downloading :c idk how legit that claim is but it means i won’t play unless i get a ps5
I understand 100, I had fun with it for a few months, but it's stagnant. I can play with no weapons or gear and survive. The challenge has a stopping point, that was where i lost interest. If it was going to keep growing and changing , new areas and bosses, yeah lol. I have all this cool gear that is seriously op , which is great, but the threat js gone now, which sucks
@@VenViViris28what's wrong with anti cheat...
i@@Boobiebumppif you're using cod for a default basis. a lot,,,
helldivers 2 wave based? i might look into that, i think Gears Horde mode was near perfect with its systems,
