  • Remember the old days when you hid your television in a giant cabinet because it was an eyesore. Now we have larger televisions and most of them are mounted on the wall or above your fireplace. They are big black boxes that are taking center stage in our homes. So instead of hiding your tv why not blend it in with your home decor using this simple and easy Samsung frame TV dupe.
    For years I considered building a frame for my tv and then adding tv art from UA-cam as the picture so it will look more like a piece of art than a big black box on my wall.
    But recently I had a brilliant idea! I thought why not paint the plastic frame and add ornate pieces of wood to the design. My goal was to create a vintage frame for my television and then make art with music to go inside.
    I was hesitant and afraid I was going to mess up my television but to my surprise, this DIY painted frame tv project turned out to be AMAZING!
    Even though this video is long, I wanted to share all the tidbits to make your painted tv a success, it is easy and only has four steps. Seven if you are doing a vintage-style frame.

    HOW TO PAINT THE FRAME ON YOUR TV (Step-by-step instructions)

    I immediately ordered the supplies seeing your results! I have an older flatscreen TV by our breakfast nook that is an eye sore, but my husband insists we need to keep. I think this might be the middle ground to please us both. 😅

    $200 to $2000 for a freaking $20 - $40 pvc frame. Yeah, I'm painting my TV. Just needed to see it done.

    I was thinking the same thing! I was going to build a frame and now that I’ve seen yours, I think I might just paint it. I know you didn’t do it that long ago but is it holding up?
    I’ll post mine when I do it! Love your channel!

    So amazing…you mentioned priming first….what would you recommend for that? TFS!!!

    • @LifeonSummerhill
      @LifeonSummerhill  Рік тому

      That is a good question. I would probably use a primer for plastic. I believe Rustoleum has one. However, my TV has been painted now for almost a month and the finish is holding up great. Because my television can be pulled out and turned it gets touched quit a bit on the bottom. So far you cannot tell anyone is touching it and the paint is staying on real good. Are you thinking of painting your tv frame?

    • @LifeonSummerhill
      @LifeonSummerhill  3 місяці тому

      It was either antique gold or gold leaf but I am almost 100% sure it was antique gold. Did you check the description? I may have a link to it in there.
