How to Connect Chromebook to TV Without HDMI

I have a fire tv stick, roky tv and a Samsung chromebook 4. It won't, however, cast from Chromebook to tv via fire tv stick. My tv appears in the three dot thing but it just says available for some sources and won't let me select it. Thoughts? Should I just get a chromecast device?

To achieve that, an HDMI cable is essential. If your device lacks an HDMI port, an extension dock is a viable solution.

I don't think Roku TV has Chrome Cast. I've just tried it on my 5 year old Roku TV. My TV does show up on the drop down menu but it's not "clickable".
