Display manufacturers really need to get together and form a standard for this. There is a lot of surface area if this will work through the lcd and if not, I'm ok with a bezel if it means fully wireless display. That little stick works at 20m, all you'd need is around 10m for a very large room. I'm sure 10-15 antennas that size would fit around a bigger display.
As someone who does setups for karaoke and music events, this thing would be amazing to have. Displays are always out in the open and hard to hide/trip-proof and I can't think of a single night I wouldn't love to have that thing.
If this was built into monitors, with antenae extending to the corners of the display for optimal reception, it would solve the path blocking issue. The antenae would likely be spaced far enough apart that no more than 2 of them would ever be blocked unless it was intentional, like removing the monitor from the room etc.

Yea the sponsored products are usually still absurdly expensive, even with the codes. I desperately wanted the Madrinas coffee drinks but it costed a total of $60 AUD to have it shipped to Australia.
Considering how sketchy their website is they probably aren't manufacturing the product, they are just relabeling another product under their brand and you can find it from the OEM for way less
@@ronakparikh Altho that may be the case but GENERALLY** when the website sucks/online presence isn't there its because they are the manufacturers/suppliers. Its when the website becomes a little bit more fancy with sketchy amounts of different products you can assume its being resold. So PeakDo may actually be the original product here
@@df23 It is not just the website that leads me to the conclusion, their logo is just screen printed onto the product instead of something more permanent/durable like laser etching. This is usually a sign of an OEM selling to many brands but not always. They could be manufacturing it themselves I don't know with 100% certainty, but I suspect they aren't
Honestly, this is huge once it matures! Imagine being a company and you want to run computers to run in a server rack in the next room. You have this and wireless adapters/dongles routed to each desk and you basically have a wireless office within the building. Not only does this make planing the floor plan so much easier, accidentally damaging the PC becomes a thing of the past, teams can freely move around and make new work environments... this has HUGE potential
@@unvergebeneid thats not what I meant, but Il give you an example. you extend the dongle connectors and run them on the ceiling, with the receiver exposed. the signal is sent down towards the table and thus, you dont have anything really permanent, as office ceilings are usually those foam tile things.
@@legice There is a major security issue with this, however, as such a signal could be easy to intercept. That would be a big issue for sensitive work.
Finding a cheap cable for most people is rare though, with a decent number being $15 or more still, and tethering you to only 2m. Working in the TV/digital marketing space, I can tell you a 25m cable is NOT cheap. It's not $200 still, but it's thick, inflexible, heavy, doesn't stay plugged in because friction fit is ass, and the signal can degrade if you got much further without repeating.
@@TheRogueX People with a test bench that want to test different parts and/or run the PC without a GPU. It's not uncommon, even on some high end boards. You've got to figure, if a GPU has a problem, you want onboard graphics as a back-up. As long as you have a CPU that supports onboard graphics.
I hope fully wireless monitors never become popular as that will be annoying.120hz, 4k 1.2 billion colors, HDR 700, and other stuff like those will take a lot of power so having it plugged in will be better than having it wireless. More so if it is a 8k or 12k monitor.
@@yumri4 What does any of that have to do with wireless monitors? If battery tech and monitor tech advances a lot, and you can get a day or so of usage @ high resolution, high refresh rate HDR out of a quickly swappable battery/charging overnight, there's no reason why it'd be bad. I don't see the appeal though, except if you need portability, but when do you need that in combination with super high end features...
Why do yall say things as if laptop doesn't exist? Don't flag me, I mean I get it but if you're gonna game on the go might as well get a laptop, it's probably cheaper too.
@@jstan5802 Even the highest end gaming laptops costing upwards 4000$ come with a lot of compromises. Mediocre battery life (and mediocre performance while on battery), loud under load, heavy. @@Aidiakapi but a portable screen, PC with battery pack and peripherals are gonna be even more cumbersome, possibly worse battery life and probably not cheap

I love my cables. I also want to have the less EM waves in my house, not because radiation bad, but because it seems... messy to me. It's like unmanaged cabkles except you can't see them. I may be irrational but that's just me
I get the convenience but I want a wireless future to be optional. I feel like it would personally be a pain to pair a BT headset with all of your devices instead of just using a 3.5mm headphone jack to instantly connect it. Not to mention better sound quality (or no BT compression and codecs, correct me if I am wrong). I just like wires right now because it ties even our legacy devices together, which I use a lot. No headphone jack on a phone kills it for me.

This is the first step into wireless AR glasses. I can imagine a day where we have a smartphone like device in our pockets, sending info straight to the AR glasses, with little to no latency. Sure this tech may be expensive now, but god lord, GUI Hubs like in Cyberpunk may just be 3-5 years away. I mean look at what Nreal has done. This would be the next step in the AR/VR space. After that Id assume it be on board processing (with better battery tech)
to solve the battery issue, we need true wireless charging to be mainstream by then. imagine if we can deliver energy via signal towers, we can cut down on the weight and volume on where the battery should have been. altho this is a bit further into the future
@@jamesmuking You seem to be suggesting wireless charging from a distance... that is not possible, without killing every living thing in the same room.

Yea the sponsored products are usually still absurdly expensive, even with the codes. I desperately wanted the Madrinas coffee drinks but it costed a total of $60 AUD to have it shipped to Australia.
Peakdo's sales after this was posted:

Considering how sketchy their website is they probably aren't manufacturing the product, they are just relabeling another product under their brand and you can find it from the OEM for way less
"now their ready for IBM"

60GHz doesn't go through walls though. You know what can be routed through walls, however? HDMI cables.

"It's only ~200 bucks!"
Me with my 2$ hdmi cable
Finding a cheap cable for most people is rare though, with a decent number being $15 or more still, and tethering you to only 2m. Working in the TV/digital marketing space, I can tell you a 25m cable is NOT cheap. It's not $200 still, but it's thick, inflexible, heavy, doesn't stay plugged in because friction fit is ass, and the signal can degrade if you got much further without repeating.
@@feyntmistral1110 for those heavy duty cables they don't even have little clips or anything to secure them?
Well 2 dollar is money for me
Brilliant, more radio-junk which just waits to conflict with something, and will often used out of lazyness rather than need.
People who bought overpriced Monster HDMI cables have left the chat...
it's nice to know that even after all these years in the game we all still plug the display into the onboard HDMI sometimes.
I haven't done that yet, but I have forgotten to plug my 6pin back into my GPU when I take it out to clean.
...who has onboard HDMI?
mine has a beeper to alert power failure, so i very quickly find out.
@Nexxol Must be a cheap motherboard.
The editors had me loling so hard with that general manager review.
“wanna play a game bro?”
“yeah just let me charge my monitor first”
I hope fully wireless monitors never become popular as that will be annoying.120hz, 4k 1.2 billion colors, HDR 700, and other stuff like those will take a lot of power so having it plugged in will be better than having it wireless.
But yeah, if you need something portable, it's the main option. Small form factor pc's might be better for broken family/lan parties, but not for hauling around every single day.
@@Aidiakapi but a portable screen, PC with battery pack and peripherals are gonna be even more cumbersome, possibly worse battery life and probably not cheap
0:40 Lmao, has to be my favorite sponsor segway I've seen on LTT so far.
YOU WILL NEVER TAKE MY HEADPHONE JACK AWAY
I seriously don't want to ditch cables. I just want to plug in things to ports and forget about it. No charging things. Oh WAIT. What if you use wireless charging? That also uses a cable to connect the wireless charger to the wall.
