Great Video, I love India it is my favourite country. I'm a woman in my 70's and have been to this amazing country numerous times. Always exciting, colourful and full of life. No other country matches it. Go with an open mind and you will enjoy the country, the people and the culture, not to mention the delicious food and the shopping. I'm an Ausssie and will be going back very soon. I love my INDIA. Forgot to say if it was as clean as Australia I wouldn't go there. Why bother? I see the rubbish as colour and texture because I'm an artist. They recycle most things, more than western countries do. When in India if you blink you have missed a whole lifetime going past.

From our Asian history class. India is the land of prayers and culture. From the Philippines. Love to visit India as it is. Adventure is what I seek in visiting a country not a sanitize one to lure tourist. Compliments from the Ministry of Tourism. I want to see India as what it is... thats Adventure. What I like in India is the taste of Indian Tea. I love it.

I'm sure it was hard to do, in comparison to just being there and taking in the sights, etc., but so far 500,000 people benefited from you doing this. I thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so that I watched it long ago, and found myself wanting to watch it a 2nd time. Thanks.

Excellent video! It shows the real India. I grew up in North India and like the fact that you didn't try to show one or other side of India but presented as it is and let people make their own conclusions. I'm pretty sure though that is not the best hotel in Allahabad but the best for the money you spent. :-)

I know it's more than 2.5 years old video but I only saw it now. I am from India and I loved the way you planned your trip like a local guy does travelling by trains, buses and auto (Tuk tuk as they call it in the west). You could have stayed in a better hotel in Allahabad though.
Thanks for showing the daily life of people instead of the forts and palaces. I would want those who wants to come to India should know the ground reality. It's better to be prepared than regretted.
The westerners think India is poor based on the per capita GDP. Yes, most people earn $2 a day but the cost of living is very low. A breakfast in small towns and villages where most of the India's population resides is as low as 10c. It's all about whether you are happy with what you are earning or not and most Indians are happy in their daily lives. Your video shows how easy going people are.
All the haters in the comments are talking about rapes. Every country has its own problems and India has its own too. Rapes are hideous crimes and they happen in every country. Unfortunately they are happening more in India or being highlighted as if it's the only country it happens. The sad truth is for a country with more than 1 billion population it's a luxury to spend billions on security infrastructure when there are things like clean drinking water, electricity and healthcare which are more important. And I am sure security is not the solution for crimes. It's more about educating people. In most of those rape cases the accused are uneducated.
Please ignore the rude comments from those ignorant people. If they really know what Indian culture means they should know how to respect others. Unfortunately Internet is full of trolls.

A very simple yet calm and relaxing video that did show India in a real light. It's poverty, it's vibrancy, it's uniqueness, it's simplicity of what people want in life, but it's devotion to religion in a peaceful non forceful manner. To show as these idiots want to show the malls and rich parts, is not what India is about, it is the basic movement of time of what India would loose. The richness is in the spirit of Indian people and although they are all similar in colour they are so diverse, yet within all communities are so accommodating and friendly. For all those trolls out there it may be dirty to you, but the similar can be said for many countries, but the heart is pure. Yes there are elements of sexual assaults that have happened, but the media have highlighted this so much, but forget to look into their own backyards and see this is more rampant in other parts of the world. With regards to History again the trolls work their tongues. India was the richest land in the world hence the western countries sought it out stripped it off it's wealth and actually places like London were built from this wealth of natural resources, History books were created to teach, but were censored in a way to distort the true facts as England was the dominant power around the world. In their eyes they saw no further than than Greeks as the founders of science and mathematics. The Indian scriptures of ancient times that depicted science, maths, astrology, and even medicine, were dismissed and never studied, as that was never, or could never be conceived as possible to do, as Britain needed to maintain power in India. To maintain Indian rule was to keep it submissive, so these were not let out for common knowledge. It is only now that all these fact are slowly coming to light, and India is establishing itself as a power in itself, not only financially, but historically. The International countries are seeing the importance of India as a stable and secure nation, that battles occasionally internally, but none the less a force that is intellectually strong, intelligent yet one that has not lost it's identity.

I had gone for a 35 days tour in own vehicle to cover entire India, but after 35 days we could not even finish half. In every 100km, there will some change in language, culture, clothing, or food. Since the country has more than 5000 years of history there are many ancient temples, monuments and history associated with anything and everything which is very overwhelming. If you are in a spiritual journey then there will be more to it and you may have an entire life life not sufficient to explore all of India even for an Indian who has basic understanding of her culture. North , South, East and West are so different, but yet has some culture in common which creates the feeling of oneness which has to be experienced and cannot expressed in words

To some Indian friends' complaining, this man didnt visit any designated shitting streets. We all konw India also have big hotels and amazing roads just like there are also many big hotels and amazing roads in Africa. But to be honest, you can't expect us to find such a tiny small diamond in a sea of damage goods. Last time I went to Shanghai, China, I don't have to go to look for "good place", because anywhere I vist is clean, beautiful, safe, and anywhere I went in Shanghai is "good place"
