i went to kerala in july for a week as a holiday and honestly it was the best thing ever, everybody there is so so kind and welcoming. Honestly after my stay there i am considering moving to kerala in the future
There is no national language however two official languages which are Hindi and English..English and Malayalam are spoken in Kerala not Hindi which is a North Indian language.. Since Kerala has the highest literacy rate in India, you can manage with English although you don't know Malayalam. There are many South Indians working in North India just like how many North Indians are working in South India yet North Indians do not take the initiative to learn South Indian languages 😐
Yes Only in Metro cities & Cosmo Cities in SOUTH India.. You got Hindi with all multiculture regional languages- Hyderabad ,Bangalore, CHENNAI, Kochi and Vijayawada
actually hindi is also spoken very well in Keralam. If you visit any restaurant in Keralam , there is atleast 1 north indian worker there. And we all speak our bit of broken hindi.

Tuk-Tuk Rickshaw drivers are generally honest all across Kerala unlike many other parts of India. Dignity of labor and they are generally reasonable by local standards.
I am happy that u got a gud auto driver as their no is really rare always try to connect with somebody who is local and guide u as sometimes it may lead u to really problematic situations.
I just can't believe how lovable and friendly our people are to foreigners. That's a good improvement from years back when people were shy to reply even when they understood what they said. I'm soo happy! Nb - But that guy who said he was Sagar alias Jackie ( a movie character name ) and insisted on giving him money for no reason is a shame to us. Those are the people we should save kerala from. If he had rendered any form of service and made money, it was to be appreciated. But this was unnecessary begging!

You were lucky to get a good Rickshaw guy who is aware of things around him and of the place. What I found interesting is about the perfume shops in Kochi.. it almost seems like it’s a trade and there are many shops specializing in it.. very interesting.

I wouldn't blame him, it's a typical thing which tourists learn that they need to bargain for everything in India but less they know those kinds of scams are less in Kerala compared to other states
As a malayali, I would pay around 450 for an hour!
@@josephk5523 Yes and no. These tourists also need to understand that these people are not decreasing the prices because they were unfair but just to get some business. We need to fix our rates and not back down. Some of these tourists are so cheap. And they call Indians cheap.
Please don't bargain when the cost is already low when converted.

Tuk-Tuk Rickshaw drivers are generally honest all across Kerala unlike many other parts of India. Dignity of labor and they are generally reasonable by local standards.
You can only see a few polite drivers like Mr. Sudhi. Most of the A.Rikshaw drivers from Kochi are looters...
For sure, our driver was very polite and kind and I made sure to tip him generously in the end 🙏

I just can't believe how lovable and friendly our people are to foreigners. That's a good improvement from years back when people were shy to reply even when they understood what they said. I'm soo happy!
Nb - But that guy who said he was Sagar alias Jackie ( a movie character name ) and insisted on giving him money for no reason is a shame to us. Those are the people we should save kerala from. If he had rendered any form of service and made money, it was to be appreciated. But this was unnecessary begging!

In India, every state you visit becomes your new favourite state. As an Indian who has toured and lived in many Indian states, including all of south India, my current favourite is Himachal Pradesh. It is the most civilised and welcoming place in the world.

Check out the Bible Tower is situated in Thrissur city of Kerala. Athirapilly water falls from the movie Baahubali, Jattayu bird statue, Munnar's greenery, sunrise hike up Wayanad mountains. Also try polichathu fish, fish fry, beef fry and parotta, Lamb fry, chicken roast, chicken fry, mothers veg plaza (have on banana leaf unlimited vegetarian food). kovalum beach, shiva statue, fresh banana chips and mixture (common snack), orange and black hawala (jelly like, thick, chewy, cashews)

Zheng trip costed immensely, they went all in on that trip, and they went to several places, hence why it was a one time voyage. In the 14th century, it was a mere insignificant fishing village. During the 15th century, it was visited by Zeng he and Nicolo da conti.
