I really need to give The Queen of the Tearling another chance. I tried to start reading it once when I was drunk. Haha, don't ask. But yeah, I forgot everything that I had read when I woke up the next day and then I had to turn it back in to the library. 😂
I'm reading the Tearling trilogy because of you, and I must say Thank You!! Wonderful characters, beautifully crafted world, and very interesting social commentary. Such good books!
I have yet to start on Invasion of the Tearling but the Queen of the Tearling was so so good and I can't wait to read the sequel and eventually finish the series. So glad that you loved them all.
I read 6 books this month! I'm so proud of myself but it was mostly because I started reading Harry Potter and went through four books so quickly because they are so dang good. I really want to read The Queen of the Tearling and The Remnant Chronicles. They look really interesting
If you enjoy circus, carnivalesque type books, definitely check out Johannesburg Cabal: The Necromancer by Jonathan L Howard, I think you will love it. It's a cross between Dr Faustus, The Night Circus and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
I loved the first two Tearling books, I still need to get my hands on the third! I'm really looking forward to reading it though and finding out how things wrap up.
I really enjoyed The Queen of the Tearling but have yet to continue on with the series, I should probably do that.. And really need to read Kiss of Deception and get that series started.
Ashamed to admit that I've had The Queen of the Tearling sitting on my shelf LITERALLY since it came out. n.n;; I was hesitant for a long time because of all the mixed reviews, but after recently seeing Sam's from Thoughts on Tomes review and your thoughts on the series, I am making it a priority this year! I'm definitely going to try to read it next month!
You make me want to read the Queen of the Tearling so bad 😁 and I'm quite happy with my reading month - I read 11 books, although 3 of them were really really short. But I'm still pretty proud of myself :)
Oh God Regan, The Fate of the Tearling destroyed me too. It hurts even now to think about, but I agree that the more space you have, the more you realise just how fantastic it was. It's definitely one of my all time favourite series.
This is the best reading month of all time for me, I read 7 books! Although 3 of them were series of unfortunate events books which are VERY short...but still haha! I read...: Matched by Ally Condie The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket The Wide Window by Lemony Snicket The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket Too Late by Colleen Hoover The Fever Code by James Dashner Hollow City by Ransom Riggs It would be 8 but freaking calculus is ruling my life...sooo I read half of Crooked Kingdom this month. :P
I really liked Ever the Hunted - it kind of reminded me of the Legends of Muirwood - but I agree that it could have used some more world-building. Hopefully the next one will expand on the world. Also, super love that cross-stitching thing going on with your sweater :)
That's how I felt about the ending of Fate of the Tearling too. I slammed the book shut and stared at it for a while but in the end I grew to embrace it.
LOVE the Queen of the Tearling trilogy! I personally like the second book the best (I wasn't extremely thrilled with how the series ended), but overall it was so awesome!
I can never understand how anyone can move from story to story with no problem, every time I finish a book I have to have kind of a mourning time before I can pick up something different lol. Is this just me? Am I a weirdo? Also, I read the Tearling books, THAT ENDING!!!
Jak InNeverland eh depends on the person. I'm usually okay with going from one book to another, but there are those rare times where a book will get me and I struggle with starting another one (The Diabolic ruined my chance of reading 8 books in January because I needed time after that one :/)
Jak InNeverland I used to struggle with that but now that I read multiple books at once, the book hangovers dont last as much. Whenever I finish a book, I generally am in the middle of another, so the process is less painful 😄
I finished A Gathering Of Shadows and I read The Guest Cat (Really short book lmao) this month. Hopefully I'll get to more books next month, but I've just been crazy stressed out lately
I read 8 books this month. Almost 9. I'm really happy with it. It's a great start to the year. I read Books 1-4 of the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Books 2 and 3 of the Charley Davidson books, the illustrated edition of HP and the Chamber of secrets. And an amazing book called Water under the Bridge by Britney King. I'm hoping to finish the last book to the lux series before the end of the night. :)
I read 6 books this month. -twilight (lmao it was cheesy but pretty good) -I re-read catching fire -mockingjay (i read it all in one sitting) -new moon (it was okaayyy) -the selection -look for Alaska Now I'm reading the mortal instruments for the first time and I'm REALLY excited
I highly recommend. The characters are so complex and intriguing. The story itself is exciting and captivating, keeps you on your toes. And as the books move forward, it just keeps getting better and better. Literally so much happens in these books, they're incredible. Arguably my favorite series (excluding HP of course)
I need to ask this off topic question, because I am way too curious. It's about your makeup. It looks from the video that you just use eyeliner on your eyes and mascara, like you don't use any eyeshadow, am I correct? Sorry to ask, but I really like how your eyes still look natural but edgy, so I wanted to know. :)
This year I started "2017 book challenge" - one task is "book released in 2017" - The Fate of Tearling will be released this year... so I guess I'll do that one. You actually make me curious how will it end. Twist? Interesting - I just wish the books made me more interested in what's going to happen in them.
I keep hearing wonderful things about The Remnant Chronicles, but haven't picked them up yet because I don't like the covers. I'll probably read them anyway if people keep saying good things!
I actually didn't like The Beauty of Darkness... I thought Lia's character became really annoying--her decision making just COMPLETELY imploded. I ~kind of~ get some of the things she did, but really I was just so annoyed!!! And I was really bummed out because I liked the second book SOO much!
Shoutout to Matilda lol
shoutout to me too :)
PeruseProject I laughed out loud when your tripod started moving because of her ☺ so cute!
finished fate of the tearling yesterday! Loved the book even though i wished the ending was different
You really speak so well and eloquently!!! I love your videos and you make me want to read all the books you read ❤
I really need to give The Queen of the Tearling another chance. I tried to start reading it once when I was drunk. Haha, don't ask.
But yeah, I forgot everything that I had read when I woke up the next day and then I had to turn it back in to the library. 😂
Neville Longbottom that must have been some party 😂
Neville Longbottom you know you are a book-lover when you read a book even when you are drunk 😂😂
The Beauty of Darkness ripped my heart out, it's one of my favorites. I literally couldn't stop thinking about it for days on end.
Ever the Hunted!! It's also on my TBR. So many books! I need another pair of eyes.
I'm glad you enjoyed The Beauty of Darkness! I love how it ended as well. Lia is definitely one of my favorite characters!
I'm reading the Tearling trilogy because of you, and I must say Thank You!! Wonderful characters, beautifully crafted world, and very interesting social commentary. Such good books!

I just finished The Unseen World today! I loved it! I never wanted to put it down. Every character was interesting but Ada was my fave.
If you enjoy circus, carnivalesque type books, definitely check out Johannesburg Cabal: The Necromancer by Jonathan L Howard, I think you will love it. It's a cross between Dr Faustus, The Night Circus and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Regan, have you read the 'His Fair Assassin's' trilogy? If you haven't I think you would absolutely love them!
I loved the first two Tearling books, I still need to get my hands on the third! I'm really looking forward to reading it though and finding out how things wrap up.
All these books sound interesting! I read 6 awesome books in January that I talk about in my Wrap Up video. So far it's been a great reading year!
This is the second video in a row in which someone mentions the Unseen World and now I really want to read it as well! You read some great books!
I really enjoyed The Queen of the Tearling but have yet to continue on with the series, I should probably do that.. And really need to read Kiss of Deception and get that series started.
I reay loved the Tearling trilogy!! I would say that the Fate of the Tearling broke my heart but well, I couldn't think of a better ending.
I've been wooing The Ever Hunted for so long... now I have no other option than go back to Amazon and order it...
Thank you thank you (from Brasil)
LOVE the Queen of the Tearling trilogy! I personally like the second book the best (I wasn't extremely thrilled with how the series ended), but overall it was so awesome!
I'm reading both Ever the Hunted and The Beauty of Darkness in the next few months, so hearing you talk highly of them is A GOOD SIGN!

I NEED to get my hands on the Queen of the Tearling, especially now that the whole series is out and I can binge it!
I can never understand how anyone can move from story to story with no problem, every time I finish a book I have to have kind of a mourning time before I can pick up something different lol. Is this just me? Am I a weirdo? Also, I read the Tearling books, THAT ENDING!!!
Jak InNeverland you r nt alone, even I have a book hangover where l need a break before starting another book.!
Jak InNeverland eh depends on the person. I'm usually okay with going from one book to another, but there are those rare times where a book will get me and I struggle with starting another one (The Diabolic ruined my chance of reading 8 books in January because I needed time after that one :/)

I keep seeing The Unseen World around and I want to read it so badly ;D
Looks like you had a great reading month! :)
This year I started "2017 book challenge" - one task is "book released in 2017" - The Fate of Tearling will be released this year... so I guess I'll do that one. legit the struggle of finishing book series for me is impossible to overcome
