I LOVED DARK MATTER!! *SPOILER* I got so choked up in the end when he was losing hope of ever seeing his wife. And the showdown at the cabin in the end WAS SO DAMN INTENSE. Also every universe he visited was compelling and thrilling. Ugh LOVE.
Hang in there...life gets so much better after school! I was in university for seven years and have been out for 5, and life is so much more carefree now! I also find reading a lot more enjoyable now too since I don't have studying in the back of my mind all the time!
You had such a great reading month it looks like! please if you can make a video about your uni experience and all that stuff as i have started getting into those types of videos as the school pressure grows :)
The nine day Queen's decapitation was ordered by Mary I not Elizabeth I. Sorry, but Elizabeth I is my favourite queen (except Elizabeth II). She ordered the decapitation of her cousin Mary Queen of Scots though, so that may be where the confusion is from.
I really want to read Dark Matter. I always love your channel. I feel like I get good recs from you! :) Way to finish a trilogy! Always a good feeling.
Oh my gosh I completely feel ya! I am graduating from college this May and it's driving me insane. I swear I'll lock myself up after graduation and read for hours!
I love your wrap ups and reviews! The fact that you read a wide range of books and also offer articulate feedback is 👌. I read My Lady Jane on audiobook and absolutely loved it, the narrator was hilarious!!!
I used to read a book a week but got out of habit, because work/family/life, but watching your videos (which I only recently discovered) has inspired me to get back on the wagon. Thanks 😊
Just added The Alchemists of Loom to my to-buy list thanks to your recommendation! And I've had Dark Matter on my shelf for a bit - probably time to pull that one out this month!
Every time an American/Canadian talks about this books they always mention that Lady Jane Grey is a little know figure which is surreal being from England where we spend so much time learning about tudors.
when I saw the notification for the video I literally jumped with excitement. absolutely love you your personality, style, awesomeness, content and overall-ness. I realise that may bit even make sense but you are just so epic and you've impacted my life :D Keep rocking it Regan
So happy you liked Crouch! I've read more than half his catalog, I'd highly recommend his Wayward Pines series if you like science propelled mystery :)
Coming from someone who never really reads sci-fi thrillers, I thought Dark Matter was awesome! Normally I find that genre (sub-genre?) slightly intimidating but Dark Matter was extremely approachable and such a wild ride! :)
Ha! I happened to read Dark Matter this month, too! Flew through it! It messed with my mind so much that I ended up having these weird dreams that seemed to be connected to the book, haha. Would also definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good page-turner, I gave it a 4.5 star rating on Goodreads as well :)
Yeeeessss!! I absolutely love My Lady Jane and I wish it would get more attention :) I laughed out loud so many times - people might thought I am crazy :D
A science book you might like is: Darwin's dreampond by Tijs Goldschmidt. A book combining a persons PhD in biology studying evolution with some fiction about living around lake Victoria in Africa. Or the Resurrectionist by E.B. Hudspeth. The last one has a twist of an anatomical atlas of fantastical creatures (which also feeds our love for fantasy :D). I thought is was a fictional work, but it turned out to be a biography, but not your standard kind of person that it is written about.
I relate to the college struggle so much 😭 my spring break starts Friday and of course professors pick this week for most of our major assignments/projects to be due
See, now it made me feel a little chill about regret. If this is how it goes, there is a me out there having taken the other path and seeing how that leads out. So, I should just enjoy this line and make the best of my world here.
I am now really looking forward to the Alchemist of Loom - that sounds really cool! Also I got to meet you this morning at the NTTBF and that was SO NEAT!
Good luck with your studies! I'm doing masters in English lit, so I feel you! xD I have quite high expectations for My Lady Jane and I must admit that your review kind of put me off :-D But I guess that's good as there is nothing that irritates me more (when it comes to reading!) than approaching a new book from an overhyped perspective. The Alchemist of Loom sounds AMAZING, I love steampunky books! x
please can you do (if you want to and have the time etc) more discussions video. i would really really like to know your thoughts in more thing in books (spoilers) thank you. And i really love your channel .
That's a shame that My Lady Jane was just an ok read for you. I thought it was one of the more creative YA's to come along for awhile now. I rarely see strong wit in YA books so this was a fave for me last year. :)
It was actually Queen Mary who put Jane to death not Elizabeth. Mary really didn't want to (maybe recognizing that Jane was just a pawn) but had to make an example of her. Sorry I LOVED the Tudor era.
i love middle grade! i enjoyed the first wondla, but found the human characters (of all characters!) in the second book too dis-believable to continue the series. nonetheless, i think i would have enjoyed it as kid just for i loved spiderwick. i hope tony makes a fieldguide like he did with spiderwick, it was actually the only thing my siblings and i really cared about: we created our own adventures based on his pictures and holly's notes.
Where did you get your hardback edition of Uprooted?! I can't find any edition besides the yellow/gold one but I really want the pastel colored one with the tower leaving a shadow over the house!
Jane Grey was killed by Queen Mary not Elizabeth and was technically ~ emphasis on technically ~ the first Queen regnant of England....that's my area of study in history lol
I thought Dark Matter was fun and fast-paced, but not anything super special. I've read a decent amount of science-fiction, and Dark Matter is kind of just mid-level stuff. After reading Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson, my bar is WAAAAAY higher for sci-fi.
If you want to read more books with multiple threads of reality of recommend 11/22/63 by Stephen King. It is truly fantastic and although it's a beast of a book, it's worth the read.
If you liked Dark Matter, then "Sleeping Giants" might be worth a try as it's good, fun, fast paced but quite mysterious sci-fi. www.goodreads.com/book/show/25733990-sleeping-giants
I totally feel you on the whole college eating me up! My assignments are literally being piled on every week and I just wanna cry 🙈🙈
can relate so hard
me too
I read Dark Matter in February too and it ended up being my favorite read of the month
Hey from Ireland!!!! Hope everyone is reading a good book and having a nice day!
Omg Dark Matter!! I read that book in one sitting! Took me 8 hours, give or take. One of my favorites! 💖
I LOVED DARK MATTER!! *SPOILER*
I got so choked up in the end when he was losing hope of ever seeing his wife. And the showdown at the cabin in the end WAS SO DAMN INTENSE. Also every universe he visited was compelling and thrilling. Ugh LOVE.
yay time to add more books to my reading list ☺️
thats what I'm here for ;D
PeruseProject noo i cant, i dont have any money left please.
Twenty Øne Pickles libraries, my friend
I only have 21 pellets
Hang in there...life gets so much better after school! I was in university for seven years and have been out for 5, and life is so much more carefree now! I also find reading a lot more enjoyable now too since I don't have studying in the back of my mind all the time!
Great wrap up, I really want to read 'Dark matter'!
Never really been into royals, but have always found Lady Jane's story interesting. Dark Matter sounds awesome.
You had such a great reading month it looks like! please if you can make a video about your uni experience and all that stuff as i have started getting into those types of videos as the school pressure grows :)
I would like a video on uni too (:
When I get an email that you uploaded it always makes my day better. Love your channel!
The nine day Queen's decapitation was ordered by Mary I not Elizabeth I. Sorry, but Elizabeth I is my favourite queen (except Elizabeth II). She ordered the decapitation of her cousin Mary Queen of Scots though, so that may be where the confusion is from.
AH YOU'RE RIGHT I AM THE WORST HISTORY MAJOR
So many decapitations to keep track of
PeruseProject at least you didn't say she was married to and beheaded by King Henry VIII. It annoys me when ppl say that haha
I wonder how long it would be if you put all the decapitations in a line from like 1700-1800
I really like to listen to you talking about books. Kisses from Italy!!😘
I really want to read Dark Matter. I always love your channel. I feel like I get good recs from you! :) Way to finish a trilogy! Always a good feeling.
My Lady Jane was absolutely fantastic! I'm surprised you only gave it a 3 stars. I love the sarcasm of it so much
Dark Matter was freaking amazing. I was plenty surprised reading that without knowing anything about it
I can understand the college issue. It's why I took a semester off between finishing my associates and starting my bachelors.
Oh my gosh I completely feel ya! I am graduating from college this May and it's driving me insane. I swear I'll lock myself up after graduation and read for hours!
I bought the search for wondla because of you :)
yay!
I love your wrap ups and reviews! The fact that you read a wide range of books and also offer articulate feedback is 👌. I read My Lady Jane on audiobook and absolutely loved it, the narrator was hilarious!!!
Just bought Alchemists of Loom because of you!
I just put The Alchemists of Loom on my TBR list. Thank you!!
I absolutely agree with what you said about Lady Jane Grey! Also about the college thing.
I loved Dark Matter too! I couldn't stop reading it, so addicting, so mind-twisting!
I used to read a book a week but got out of habit, because work/family/life, but watching your videos (which I only recently discovered) has inspired me to get back on the wagon. Thanks 😊

Argh. Too many books to read, too little time 😵
me everyday
when I saw the notification for the video I literally jumped with excitement. absolutely love you your personality, style, awesomeness, content and overall-ness. I realise that may bit even make sense but you are just so epic and you've impacted my life :D Keep rocking it Regan

I've had the first book of the Wondla trilogy on my tbr shelf and you've inspired me to pick it up and give it a go xxx
Yes to college eating us up! But that only makes us appreciate the quiet time we have when reading 💙
I'm so happy my last exam was awhile ago and now just practical part left, will never miss exams!
So happy to hear you will be moving to Chicago after graduation! You will absolutely love it. Except for our winters. 😂
I just ordered the Wondla books, so excited!
I'm really interested in Lady Jane Grey as a historical figure. Might give this YA novel a try. :)
Loved Dark Matter too! Blew my mind 💥
Dark Matter sounds so good I NEED IT
Dark Matter is sooo good! The ending just sent me on a real trip, it was crazy. I'm so glad you liked it!
I really enjoy your wrap ups!! Thanks for making my day :)
Your next Thriller should definitely be "Behind closed doors" by B.A.Paris
I relate with the college stress except instead I go to a really intense high school. I only read two books this month and one was a school book.
I loved Dark Matter so much I literally read it one sitting
Yeeeessss!! I absolutely love My Lady Jane and I wish it would get more attention :) I laughed out loud so many times - people might thought I am crazy :D
Thanks Regan I read the best books because of u❤️🤓
Yes! Definitely check out Elise Kova's Air Awakens series! It's bomb!
A science book you might like is: Darwin's dreampond by Tijs Goldschmidt. A book combining a persons PhD in biology studying evolution with some fiction about living around lake Victoria in Africa.

So many books !! Great Wrap up!!
Dark Matter messed with my brain and kinda broke my heart a bit, gives regret a whole new dramatic level!
yessssssss! Literally made my think about so many things!
See, now it made me feel a little chill about regret. If this is how it goes, there is a me out there having taken the other path and seeing how that leads out. So, I should just enjoy this line and make the best of my world here.
Dark Matter sounds super interesting!!
the air awakens series by Elise Kova IS SO GOOD. The entire series gets better and better. I highly recommend
The Alchemists of Loom sounds amazing and I need to get my hands on it!
it was rly rly good
Looks like you had a great reading month!
Dark Matter has been on my TBR for so long, but you made me want to pick it up even more! :D
Oh yeah, feel you on the uni eating up all your time. I literally crash at night hahah
I want to read all of these books agh. I love your channel so much!
Kisses for Greece :)
I am now really looking forward to the Alchemist of Loom - that sounds really cool! Also I got to meet you this morning at the NTTBF and that was SO NEAT!
It's currently time for midterms so the only reading I've been doing is notes, worksheets, textbooks, etc. 😭😭😭
I purchased the Wondala trilogy because of you! Hoping to enjoy it.
Yayyy four books this month way to go! ;)

I love your channel so much!
Thank you!
I wish I could read more but...ART HISTORY!
I liked Dark Matter a lot.

working my way the through dark matter. loving it. your lipstick looks gorgeous. what color is it
Didn't you post this before? I'm just feeling like I saw this video before, even what you said about each books.
You should read Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard! It's super good and a new book from the series just came out - genre is YA😝
year dragon yeahh i loved red queen currently reading and loving Glass Sword
you're a timeless beauty
That's a shame that My Lady Jane was just an ok read for you. I thought it was one of the more creative YA's to come along for awhile now. I rarely see strong wit in YA books so this was a fave for me last year. :)
I've love so many of these
PS, it was Mary who beheaded Jane, not Elizabeth haha. Tudor history is my jam.
It was actually Queen Mary who put Jane to death not Elizabeth. Mary really didn't want to (maybe recognizing that Jane was just a pawn) but had to make an example of her. Sorry I LOVED the Tudor era.
Love you Regan!
PeruseProject oh my you replied!!!
i love middle grade! i enjoyed the first wondla, but found the human characters (of all characters!) in the second book too dis-believable to continue the series. nonetheless, i think i would have enjoyed it as kid just for i loved spiderwick. i hope tony makes a fieldguide like he did with spiderwick, it was actually the only thing my siblings and i really cared about: we created our own adventures based on his pictures and holly's notes.
I feel indifferent about My Lady Jane, I don't know if it is really for me, but I might give it a try to mix things up.
I really really wanna read Alchemists of Loom but it's so expensive here in the UK at the moment :( I don't know why.
he querido leer tanto la trilogía de WondLa por todo lo bonito que dices de ella ❤
ps. I comment on spanish purpuosely :3
i always love your videos
Dark Matter sounds a lot like Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said by Philip K. Dick.
**adds The Alchemists of Loom to my Amazon cart**
Where did you get your hardback edition of Uprooted?! I can't find any edition besides the yellow/gold one but I really want the pastel colored one with the tower leaving a shadow over the house!
Jane Grey was killed by Queen Mary not Elizabeth and was technically ~ emphasis on technically ~ the first Queen regnant of England....that's my area of study in history lol
Do you think a physics major (such as myself lol) would enjoy Dark Matter?
For some odd reason, you remind me of agent scully from The X-Files lol
Love your channel btw.
I know this so isn't the point, but where is your top from? It's so lovely!
Not Queen Elizabeth the first but Queen Mary the first.
I thought Dark Matter was fun and fast-paced, but not anything super special. I've read a decent amount of science-fiction, and Dark Matter is kind of just mid-level stuff. After reading Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson, my bar is WAAAAAY higher for sci-fi.
i really need your review for 'everything everything' because I started but I really didnt like ir thta much 😦
Is there any romance in The Alchemists Of Loom? You said that there was a female and a male main character, I think? Thanks!
if u could please pleaseeee read the book Call Me By Your Name and do a review on it
If you want to read more books with multiple threads of reality of recommend 11/22/63 by Stephen King.
I thought Mary executed Lady Jane Grey?
I want to read dark matter is it worth it?? And is it something similar like sci fic shows on netflix?
I don't think My Lady Jane is going to have a 2nd book I believe it's a stand alone.
Jacully Hunter there are going to be two more books after this one. One is about Jane eyre and the other is about Calamity Jane
Emily Trigg Oh so it's going to be more books from those three authors. but not a continuation of this book?
Jacully Hunter yes!
Goals
did she just say "February Wrap Up for the month of February" ? xD
