I read 8 books this month! Super happy with that since one of them was Empire of Storms and I spent about 6 months of 2016 in a huuuuge reading slump. Today I started 'The Diviners' which I found out about from you
Books I've read in January: ~Twilight by Stephanie Meyer ~The Night Bird by Brian Freeman ~The Walking Dead, Compendium 2 by Robert Kirkman ~New Moon by Stephanie Meyer ~Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer ~Too Late by Colleen Hover ~Every Ugly Word by Aimee L Salter I could add Breaking Dawn to my list by I technically finished it today so it's going on February's list!
your reading month sounded like so much fun. :) I read cinder, shadow and bones (this trilogy has the most beautiful hardback covers in germany, but they are so hard to get nowadays, uuugh), the second book of outlander, a monster calls and the little prince and I enjoyed all of them so much. I can't wait to read caraval to see your spoiler discussion! :) I'm so glad I found your channel, you bring so much light into the booktube community and you got me back into reading - thank you so much!
I wish I could read as much as you😭 I only read a book about China, a book about Japan and two short stories by Oh Jung Hee. (One was 70 pages and the other one 150) This isn't a lot but I am also reading Pride and Prejudice (around 80% I'd say~) as well as On Such a Full Sea by Chang Rae Lee (almost 50% through it~) Hopefully I'll read more in February, but I think it's not even that bad considering how little I read the past year😁
You're videos always make me excited to read! I'm currently reading Heartless and it's so good. I read 6 awesome books in January that I talk about in my Wrap Up video. I will definitely have to add some of these to my tbr list.
Everyone is having such a great reading month in January! Great start of the year! Loved the video and glad you read those books you've been meaning to read! I would love to read Simon vs the Homosaphiens Agenda..? Seems pretty cool :)
You can't possibly fathom the amount of pure joy I feel when I see you upload a new video!!! You're definitely my favorite booktuber. ❤️❤️ I read Simon this month too and I really loved it!!! I bought A list of Cages but I haven't got to it yet :)
a good historical fiction read I'd recommend is Secrets She Kept by Cathy Golke. it's an adult and set in world war ii in Germany and it's such an amazing and powerful read. Also if you wanna try medieval historical fiction, I'd recommend Philippa Gregory's and Anne O'Brien's books 😄 I got Heartless weeks ago, and I haven't read it yet so I'm kinda excited to read it now lol
January was a great reading month for me!! I read Soul Conquest: The Ultimate Trial (written by a family friend and totally recommend), Fangirl, Harry Potter 1-3, and More Than the Tattooed Mormon. Very successful for me!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH. IT'S SO NICE TO SEE THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAVE THIS PASSION ABOUT ALICE. AND YES I LOVE THE ONE DIRECTION SONG AT THE END OF YOUR VIDEOS. LOVE THEM
Been wanting Caraval for months! I get even more psyched for it every time you talk about it. (Which is fairly often 😋) Holding out on buying it in hopes that it's the OwlCrate February book of the month.
God bless you for reading Sezchwan. I was the sister in law last semester for my college production and boy it was the hardest production I was ever in. But I'm glad you liked it!!!
I'm so glad you finally read Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda and loved it! My friend made me read it last semester after she read it in one night and we were both obsessed!
I finished Cress, Fairest, Winter, Stars Above, Heartless, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them Screenplay, The Wrath and the Dawn, and then the three novellas from wrath and the dawn.
I actually read Magnus Chase And The Hammer Of Thor this month and absolutely loved it, all these characters are so amazing and I love the world so much. Also, I cannot wait for your video on Crooked Kingdom because it's my favourite book and I could just listen to people talk about it for days.
I pre-ordered Caraval but in my country it comes out on 15th and I can't wait to read it. Thanks to this channel I'm really ahead with new releases YAY!
Such a great reading month for you :D I really want to read Heartless and Caraval! Also, after you spoke so highly of A List of Cage, it made me want to pick that one up too!
If you're looking for other good plays try a streetcar named desire by Tennessee Williams! I'm studying it in English at the moment and really enjoying it
I read After Hamelin by Bill Richardson (a Canadian author; it was written in 2000) and It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. Both very good books! I started Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, which is amazing so far, and The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan, which is quirky and fluffy so far.
This month I read Illuminae, November 9 and It Ends With Us.... I've become obsessed with Colleen Hoover's books.....They're so good! This month I want to read Gemina, Confess and finish Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy as well as Heartless.
Always look forward to your videos! I have to watch with Goodreads open ready to mark up all the books that take my fancy! One of my reads this month was A Gathering of Shadows. I reckon you are really going to enjoy A Darker Shade of Magic; one of my new favourites x
You had an amazing reading month! Wow Jealous! Also I am so excited for Carnaval thanks for your review and I adored Heartless that was such a well written book!
Ily so much!!!!❤️💜All of my favorite books that I have read, have been recommended by you! I definitely recommend reading the school for good and evil! Have you read it? Ily so much and I think that you are an amazing booktuber!😍💙❤️😘
It's always a bit hard to pronounce german 'ch's for people who aren't familiar with it, but don't worry, you said it good😄 I had to read The Good Person of Szechwan, for my german class back in High School and I liked it, although the character names were sometimes a bit confusing😄
Is Caraval anything like The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern? It looks interesting, and I did (finally) get around to reading The Night Circus, and LOVED it! That's why I was wondering.
Can you start showing/telling us how long the book is? (Like how many pages there are) I'm a slow reader so I need really captivating, kind of short books to read for school points.
Munira Fatima Hayley said some people told her they didn't watch the video if she had a list with the books mentioned on the video in the description, so She stopped adding it.
Ahhh dang it I didn't hit save when I added them I'm sorry! The video is annotated with the links so if you hit the little "i" icon in the top right hand corner you can see all the links, but I have now added them to the description. Thanks and sorry about that!
How lovely to see someone who has been thoroughly enjoying their recent reads! Hope your reading year continues at this level :) Superinteresting (to me lol) that you enjoyed Simon so much but didn't like Ari & Dante and More Happy ThanNot which to me are far superior and thought provoking novels that are more beautifully written. But yay for finding a LGBT Read that you love :)
Loved this vid Hailey. I have read alot of these books. I have read: Crooked Kingdom (Just in January). Currently reading caraval. Planing on finishing today. I want to read A list of Cages that book was shipped to my public library. The same reason with Frost like night by Sara raasch. I can't wait to complete that trilogy! The valiant sounds really cool!
