- Take a walk with the Battlefield Walker as the Virginia battlefield of Cold Harbor gives up a few State Militia and General Service buttons and bullets, and check out a few more relics from my collection that were found in the early days of relic hunting - the 50s and 60s! #civilwar #treasurehunting
Walker, this is Sammy. You said something today that I say with every relic or arrowhead I find. I think about the last person to touch this find. I love your channel.
Thank you SO much man!! Tell Marley I said hello!

Nice! I was just up there yesterday digging some trench lines. No buttons but a load of bullets, both Confederate and Yankee.
Confederate stuff mostly eludes me!

Just found your channel and definitely a new subscriber!
Thank you Jerry! Appreciate the vote of confidence . . .
Great hunt and great finds. You might want to look into Treasure Net if you already haven’t. Great place to post your hunts and videos and place to meet fellow detectorists. Definitely sure you will pick up new subscribers from posting there. Good luck with your channel and future hunts. Walt
Thanks Walt. I'm on treasurenet as Parsonwalker. I didn't know if they allowed links to a youtube channel? You think that's allowed?
@@thebattlefieldwalker2841 Posting of videos is definitely allowed and many members do it. Good luck with your hunts. Walt
@@waltgr6470 Really appreciate this info! I AM going to post there!
Yeah I use a pill bottle too! Lol
I wish I could FILL that pill bottle one day!
@@thebattlefieldwalker2841 once I was digging with a guy about 30 years ago in Petersburg & he lost his pill bottle that was filled with buttons! He was sick to his stomach. We walked for miles so the pill bottle could've been anywhere! We came back from lunch & I turned my machine on & can you believe it ? I found his pill bottle with all the buttons! It was one in a million that I found it...
Good grief! he better have GIVEN you a couple of those buttons. He owed you BIG time!

You should mention how, rather than preserving the relics on government land where hunting is prohibited, they are rotting and will be gone soon. Not a rant about that, just the facts.
Yes, you're right, of course. Everything is quickly dissolving to dust. Buttons (!) and light metal first. If the parks would invite reputable relic hunters and just let them take pictures of their finds before turning them over to the park service, I guarantee there would be lines waiting to get in..
I grew up about half a mile from Spotsylvania Courthouse found a Mine ball laying in a stream in the woods behind my house when I was like 10 years old just laying there in plain sight I couldn’t believe it
Man, I KNOW. I've often wondered how MANY bullets have been recovered from the CW, and how many are left??
