I haven’t commented in a while but rest assured, I watch every episode, many times I don’t have the words. Awesome work and awesome finds with a lesson or two in every video. Thank you sir.
Will, thank you. Frankly, lately I haven't had great stuff to show!! But I appreciate that something good, however small, might result from the effort!
Agreed Benjamin - no skunk, but darned close. I "accidentally" walked over that on my way to the truck! Thanks for the display compliment, it's my place to hang out and ponder!
@thebattlefieldwalker2841 You're welcome! I enjoy seeing how others display their relics. I have a room in which I intend to set up some relic displays and make it into an office. Always in need of some inspiration!
Thanks Joe. I'm embarrassed to post some of these unproductive outings! Next week, I have a favorite story to post that's out of my normal lane. It's about a WW2 recovery to the elderly son of a pretty significant pilot. We stumbled upon the Colonel's footlocker. Packed with stuff . . . in a dumpster. Far removed from the civil war, but a cool story. CBS News covered it.
love your displays. very aesthetically pleasing. i especially love that bullet base light. cool idea. i used to set up displays like that when i did public displays at museums and the like. did a starburst pattern with bayonets that even people not into military stuff complimented me on. didnt have a functioning camera at the time so i never got a picture of it. still, hada lot of fun over the years doing displays when i could manage it.
A 20% day Yo! A root day too! How random a knife handle in that think patch in the middle of nowhere, kinda like that tea pot you found. Look forward to the next one but I’m afraid the weather is going to make it an ice dig! Keep walking and digging Yo!
I have a very odd ball question to ask you. Have you kept an account of how much time you've spent relic hunting? What you've accomplished is certainly amazing to me and you should be very proud of yourself. You have my utmost respect. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Thank you so much, Dish! There are a lot of guys, my age and younger who've done far better than me, but I've had a blast. I started hunting when I was big enough to lug a big old modified GI mine detector (probably around 10 years old). I'm 64 now. I quit hunting in early adulthood to do life, raise daughters, have a career, etc. When my youngest daughter graduated high school, I bought a Tesoro Tejon and jumped back in full force. I have NO IDEA how much time I've spent swinging a coil, all I can tell you is that I try to go (now) one day a week. So that would average out to be about 400 hours a year. Now that I think about it, I should be rich by now (and I ain't!)!
Great Video! Best of luck in the new year on your quest for the next greatest thing. Maybe, you will find one of those supposed gold hordes. …wouldn’t that be nice?
Oh, now you've done it, Wsu. I could talk for hours. Smaller one is Clarabelle. She was whelped near Memphis, and I still can't believe I drove that far to get a DOG. Big Bruiser is Lucy (AKC : "Lucy Don't Sass Me"). She is from one of our litters. Great bloodlines, but hard-headed and independent. Both are VERY territorial Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. If you make it past my cameras and video surveillance, they sleep just outside the barred and double dead-bolted relic room door. Not saying my collection is totally secure, but if you get in, I'll have an ample blood-trail to follow during recovery operations!
I love relics my house is like a museum of low quality mostly stuff i aquire i have a 1 and a 10 dollar note from my town innvt.. do ypu know anything about id say town promisery not cash its not country cash so its early leme go look..dates are hand qriten after 18 i thi k 18 01 i found em en a book ..they need to be dusplayed better and flatter coulb be sorth a few bucks if i trusted em id five it to the state but for what a smile and a thanx sucker..😅
Hey Vickie, are you sure you're talking about this video? I can't find that? When did I do that? I have relocated one of my two barn cats in other vids, but not this one, I don't think. And yes, others have scolded me. They say, "Cats are super popular on the internet! Leave them alone!" Let me reassure you, my two are pretty pampered. They're good girls, and I appreciate them!
I admire your perseverance. Without that, you wouldn’t have the magnificent collection you have!
Leeder, I appreciate that. I think our foolish optimism is sometimes the best digging tool we have!
Love your display my friend!! Thanks for saving our History and sharing with everyone!!
Reaching, I appreciate that. I DO enjoy sitting in that room and telling interested people what I know about the finds!

Another great video! Thanks for inviting us in.
Thanks David for appreciating the effort behind it. Good intentions, even when the relics are thin . . . !
You truly work for the history that you save. Your relic room is amazing!
Thanks Jerry. Pity that if I worked as hard at other things, I might be rich! (But you know I love it)
Nice displays of history and memories. Thanks for sharing and have a Blessed Day!
Thank you Jeff. I appreciate the encouragement!
Beautiful displays, Walker. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Gary. I appreciate your encouragement!
Nice display Walker, l like your imagination & enthusiasm! You didn't get skunked, the knapsack j hook saved your day, always fun to dig those!
Agreed Benjamin - no skunk, but darned close. I "accidentally" walked over that on my way to the truck! Thanks for the display compliment, it's my place to hang out and ponder!
Those display cases are AMAZING!
Thanks Swamp. Lotsa guys are way ahead of me, but I'm thankful for some of the history I've been able to coax out of that hallowed ground!
Well done 👍
Thanks Hee-Haw! I appreciate the kind words!
You thought we would enjoy seeing a clip of you setting up the display case?! Well, you're right! I enjoyed it immensely! Great video brother.
Thanks Homeland. Started reading and thought someone was going to say, "Worst video ever." Appreciate your continued kind words, man!

Better luck next time Walker! Always enjoy watching! Really love your display cases and what an awesome relic room! See ya on the next one.

Nice display 👍HH🦀
HH back atcha Finding. And let me just say - lately, I have decidedly NOT been "Finding with Frequency!!"

Agreed bro. The silverware is a big mystery for sure. Had a TERRIBLE day yesterday, but found a coin . . .

Great Video!

Your lips to God's ears, Brian!!
Good looking display Walker! I did notice one of the bullets on the top shelf is crooked. Kidding, just kidding.
Now I've got to leave work, go home and get my compass and square, Jedi!
I remember those days well. Hunt hunt hunt, nothing. Go out the next day to another spot. Relics are jumping out of the ground. LOL . Is to hunt !
333, I need an out-of-the-ground jumper and fast! I've been in the piddling for a while now!
Who are your walking buddy’s? The two brown labs!

That knife handle could be from the c.w. I could be an officer's piece. I would try to figure out what those letter on it are.
I'm sure you're right, Liz. The initials didn't match any landowners from the last 175 years. That's all I can say with certainty.

That's great stuff, Josh. I know nothing really about coins, cash or scrip, but I'd say you've got a VERY rare find there! Well done.
We need prayers for these desperate times. Trump 2024! Respect the Union and Confederacy long live those names that shall not be forgotten.🤠
I would not disagree! Pretending something didn't happen doesn't change the facts!
I hate seeing you push the cat away. A lot of people like seeing it
