Thanks man. I do hope we can give it another swing. The property owners were a little apprehensive, and to be honest this parcel of woods we were on isn’t huge. Their property was only a couple hundred feet wide- but I’m convinced there are still goodies left there. I have another video that’s yet to come out from this same property and in it I dig a VERY interesting coin

That carved bullet…probably just a wild ass guess, but I’m wondering if someone wasn’t goofing around trying to carve a pipe bowl or something? Strange how they incorporated the hollow in the bottom to connect to another hole in the side…we’ll probably never know.
Love your guys content, so jealous you guys get to dig that era of relics…we have very little civil war era relics up here in Oregon. Guess that’s the best part of UA-cam; we get to live vicariously through you.

Hey Dan! Actually mine didn’t break, but I know that they are susceptible to breaking there commonly. A buddy of mine bought the red thing that you saw in the video and gave it to me. It basically slides in and offers support and protection on the detector, at the location where breaking occurs most, to keep that from happening. Thanks so much for checking in. This is just a theory but you may have found a spot where two engagements occurred, at least partially, in the same vicinity. OR, early in the war the spot you are in may have been a training camp where target practice was staged (.69 rb) and later a skirmish or part of a battle.
