This video should be titled "How to stretch a 60 second story into 20 minutes".

Johnny was smart enough to know that audiences roaring in laughter easily translated into good ratings

How many times can you repeat the same thing over and over again in different ways. You took a 3 minute story and stretched it out repeating the same thing over and over.

It speaks volumes, that Burt Reynolds guest hosted as much as he did. One man was responsible for that. Burt Reynolds had a self deprecating sense if humor. I think he was guest hosting when he made a joke about his "Burt n Judy" towels. "Anybody want some?"He was never afraid of what people thought.

Like all of his guests, Burt's relationship with Johnny was all on the show. Burt was a great guest and Johnny appreciated it. No more or less.

Carson was a master of that show. If he did get aggravated, you would never know it. It was very ballsie of Burt to cut his tie. Burt was a master of spontaneous comedy. I think Johnny knew this and respected Burt. I miss them both.

Very different in a lot of ways, politics included, and much more but then people treated others with respect. Johnny Carson now, as l'm very ill, reminds me of watching as a girl in the early 80s when l loved sitting up too late to watch. Missed always, he is another piece of Americano, his show is forever edged in our shared history.

in a nutshell: Johnny was not that thrilled when Burt cut his tie and they had a 'friends' but with tension type of friendship. Narrator jumps around in effort to puff this up to 20 minutes.

I loved their interactions! They were terrific together! When they threw in Dom DeLuise, you knew you would be laughing within seconds! I'm sorry to hear that Johnny got angry about a tie! He could easily afford a new tie. And, knowing that Burt always went for a laugh should have expected SOMETHING to happen while Burt was there.

Well to spend 2o minutes of my life if there is no reveal ,,,won’t indulge ! For those who are looking for dirt , it is there . Wayne Newton said that Johnny Carson was a mean spirited man and detailed his runins with him . Personally I think Johnny was just an average show biz man as far as idiosyncrasies and bad behavior can be . Johnny was sensitive . He was not a monster . He was the best host of the Tonight Show and all the hosts and guest hosts were good but there was only one number 1 and it was Johnny .

Dude come on, the scissors and Johnny hiding his true feelings along with the rules gets repeated I don't know how many times. It isn't until 13:22 time mark before we get a hint of why we tuned in to your story. That is a long long time for us to hold on to . I understand that the longer the viewer stays on the chance of you making any $$,but this is clearly a selfish manner of trying to collect . Cut id down please to just the facts This could of easily been done in 4 mins .

I'm sorry, but I can't get on board with a one-sided reveal on a particular friendship/relationship. I hate how one waits til another dies to divulge intimate personas. Not cool when the other side can't respond or dispute anything that's claimed.
