Great ideas. Love the window latch and also the anti fog hunters soap for the windows. Appreciate your videos. Building a 8x8 blind right now. What are your thoughts on where the 4x4 sit on the ground. You think maybe just a 10 x 10 piece of pressure treat as a foot or cement pad. Thx again.
I appreciate your positive comments. I've used both, depending on what I had available at the time. A cement pad is probably better in the long run. It's good to put the fresh cut side of your leg posts up and the factory, treated side down.
I didn't make those windows. They were sliding basement windows that I removed from my house. I removed the windows from the frame and turned them sideways. Used some brass door hinges on them that I had laying around.
@UncleBucks they look really nice. Just got done with my 4x8 frame. Still have to make the roof, windows, and door. Wrapping it in treated picket fencing I got free from work.
Just showing an alternative option here that works really well for me, so I wanted to share it with others. I can't tell by your comment if you missed the point of that or if you're just being contradictive. Either way, thank you for watching and commenting & good luck in the deer woods.
I just finished a blind with your windows, they work awesome! Thank you!
You do such a great job explaining every step! Even I could do it!
Very Nice! Frugal but effective, thanks for sharing.
Great little tip Brett! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea with the magnets I'm going to see if I can find some your blinds are awsome
Excellent Tech Tip!!! Thank you!!!

Curious what strength magnets you decided to go with? They're ranging anywhere from 20 to 120lb strengths. (they claim)
I don't recall, but the stronger the better, especially if you put layer of fabric in between them to reduce the "clapping" sound like I did.
How did you make those wood framed windows

@UncleBucks I'd prefer treated plywood but this is free
@brandonyoung7760 Being thrifty is often just being smart! I also make many concessions it comes to what things cost!
Even cheaper if you just take some of your scrap lumber from the build and make them. No need to buy conduit,

Good idea, not good looking
Ok... hopefully the deer won't mind.
