Pretty sweet!!! I think He will stop using the winch and electric door when he notices deer avoiding the stand cause of noise. Its pretty cool to see a young man putting his energy into something productive and fun in the real world not on video games. He will have a great and fulfilling life ahead of himself keep it up!!
I thought this was neater than dirt! I'm a 67 year old woman and I just started deer hunting 8 years ago. It is so fun, and I admire you for hunting and using your creativity and skill NOW! God bless you and keep creating, working and having FUN!
Two things, A... You really need a bigger hole and more concrete to keep that pole from moving in the wind, and B.. you need to brace that trap door.. 3/4 ply is strong but its gong to warp and twist over time and become a nightmare... This is a really cool build and its awesome to see a younger guy tackle something like this.. Please dont take my words as criticism by any means.. Ive been in the construction industry for 20 years and have personally hand dug many holes for telephone poles and we go down ATLEAST 7 foot... Thats just for a pole, you have a giant "sail" on top of your pole thats going to catch a lot of wind... Since its already up and concreted in, I would highly suggest getting some cables and turnbuckles and securing it to either some trees, earth anchors, or dig some deep holes and make some concrete piers and anchor to that... Id hate to see this thing tip over..
Thanks for the input. I actually put 4 cables with earth anchors and turn buckles on this thing. You can see in the one frame, I am putting in one of the 40 inch ground anchors. I might have to tweak the trapdoor though. Thanks for reaching out. I can always use some solid advise!
Good Stuff Right Here . Cut some plywood sheets cut out in the shape of fir trees and screw to the out side for camo . Be damn careful when climbing , slippery when wet goes for stands too . Loose the winch to noisy . practice shooting from up there , angles change impact location . Love it . !
That’s one crazy idea, you’re very skilled. You’ll have to let us know how sturdy it is with 2 guys in it. I just picked up four 30’ poles and was gonna make 1 blind and saw your video, now i might make 4!!!!
That is probably true, but I typically do not open the windows unless a shot is required. Besides, I also hunt according to the wind in most of my stands. Thanks for watching and for the advise!
That’s a really nice blind but why put getting up there and opening the trap door so noisy? I’m sure you realize that everything around you will hear this and it’s going to take you a long time just to get into your blind especially if you’re battery doesn’t charge. Good luck.
Good idea but truely its not very safe those 2x4 will not last long and will give out and you will end up going down with it and the heavy wind and storms will blow that thing fown easily so my best bet is get three more poles and build the box blind a little bit bigger or call the tree house guy that builds tree houses on trees and with better support. The name of the guy show is called tree house masters you check him out he is the real deal
Just subscribed. Very cool. This video got me to want to watch some of your others. I'm in GA too, NWGA. I built one very similar to this, but hung it in a giant tree with a 4 wheelier. What's wrong with us lol? Not to be a know it all but think about adding a couple more braces and a few giant long lag bolts with large washers thru the floor into the pole. Maybe guide wires wouldn't hurt either. Now you might have it really good but you can't be to safe. It's could loosen up over time. Ok sorry I'm done. Hey, I just started a new channel. It's about climbing safe (which just happens to be easy), hunting and diy stuff like this. Come check it out, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did yours. Thank you, and GOD Bless.
No offense truly but all that noise from your wench and door your going to scare all the deer. Very high angle of attack for your shots. Hope you have good luck.

Very nice buddy and fantastic outlook young man!

Not to sure I would have went that HIGH , hope it all works out Great for you ...
Deer stand / tree house, love it. Great job.
Noisey as hell
Everything you did was genius--until you pulled out the carpet--it will only collect and hold scent--your scent!!😮

Carpet will hold dust, pollen, and bugs. Been there done that. Never again. Nice build and you are talented!
Thanks for the tip!
This is awesome!
The electric trap door will great for when the wife is talking is talking too much and you want to open it up and release her
Great idea with the winch. 28 ft high if you don't get the biggest buck in the area this season I would be pissed
Just use a ladder bud. Winches aren't really made for lifting vertical. If the clutch gives you're on the ground

Death trap
Damn good wood work. Just muffle that winch a bit !
Great work so cool

Well done young man..
Nice job young sir. My question, how's the winch noise above from the ground?
It’s not nearly as loud as it sounds on the video!
The next time I watch this video the young man may be in a wheelchair if he's lucky I can't believe his parents
Great idea and video!! Have you experienced and wind yet?
She’s holding up like a beauty! There is a little flex in the pole up that high.
Yea, that winch won't scare the deer away😂😂😂
Winch is gona be loud ?
Trap door is noisy as all get out .
I give you high five for being aggressive, 40 years of construction, lots of mistakes,
Good idea though
The deer will run from those noisy
Awesome. Build me one
I’m actually in the deer stand building business but probably won’t do that for someone else for liability reasons. 😂
❤
Crazy awesome 👏🏻 awesome 👏🏻 good 👍🏻 luck.🦌👊🏻🏹
Thanks 👍

Why?
Hey man ,your pole is not not deep enough, you will be on the end of a human flyswatter
Dad get a chainsaw, save your sons life
This is dumb on so many levels....
