Deja vu on this build. You and I are at the exact same stage! I'm glad you're not having shipping issues with Fanhome on this. Twice they have sent out packs with incorrect and missing stages, and they had to reship Pack 3. I'm starting to collect duplicate parts!
If I recall correctly you're only removing the hubcap covers if you're swapping wheels out for part 3 wheels or train wheels. If you're not doing that (preferring movie 1 or movie 2 wheels) then you can go ahead and put them in now, pretty sure.
About to ask how do we incorporate the flip down wheels for the BTTF 2 as you just flipped them down..😂😂 so excited for this build
It's a small niggle but I would've thought at some point either EM or now Fanhome would've corrected to color of the frame parts from black to the correct grey. I'm leaving it in the BTTF build but if (fingers crossed) a standard DeLorean street car stems off of this kit I would correct it.

It seems strange to put the wheels on now, only to have to take them off again at a later stage!
I also remember on your first build, you had problems with one of the drop downs on the tires not working very well. Good to see that's not the case here, although that might have been a manufacturing problem with Eaglemoss and not on you.
That chassis needs a nice coat of grey paint🤓
The chassis show the amount Lotus was involved in the development of the Delorean. It's typical lotus chassis of the day

That looks like a really good build. I'm currently building the Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious. I'm currently on issue 100 now. I have found a few issues with building it. But I've solved them. One of them was that the body shell was broken on the windscreen post. Repaired that with a bit of superglue. I'm also building the Batman Tumbler aswell. Again found a couple of issues with that

Awesome!! Any idea why Pack 3 includes 5 magazines with their associated car parts instead of the usual 4? My Pack 3 should be coming very early next month.

Hi Wayne.. re the hubcaps. If someone has not done as you advised and inadvertently fitted the hubcaps in early, can they be gripped with tweezers from the outside?

Are you finding this one any different to the old one (Eaglemoss?) you did? I've seen things went a bit pear-shaped with a few of the stages
This is going to be strictly as stock. No mods.
Very curious to know if this is exact same a 2:18 s Eaglemoss since it's originaly theirs or has Fanhome changed any of the build

Hi Wayne, as tight as i might with the screws, the wheels just don't want to stay up. The spring pins that keeps them in place are a wiggly and the magnet is weak. I think many others have this same problem. Any advice on how to get the tyres to stay up? I'm tightened the two screws all the way as far as i can tell.
Getnsome m1 or m2 washers. They will help
Best recommendation is to leave the wheels OFF until the car is done. The flight mechanism will break over the 2 years of your build if you keep the wheels on

@WorldofWayneUK had it happen to me, to be fair. Had to replace the whole stage assembly due to metal breakage. Ive since joined a build community online and see it has happened to a ton of others also
You took the wind out of my sails. I was going to also recommend keeping the wheels off the car until the final stage. I think the build requires the wheels to be removed a couple of times, and that can increase risk of stripping the threads.
What's the purpose leaving the caps off, I can't remember having to remove the wheels at all after I attached them, unless you are planning on swapping out for the white wall or rail wheels I can't see any need to remove them
I can't remember specifically but I remember they make you take them off and gave you replacement hubs

Wera screwdrivers. In particular PH0 size and PH1 for the screws I'm putting in metal

To show an unmodded version as well as a "with lessons learned" version. He said at the start lol
I just don't know what so many model builders see in the is car. It's so plain straight and squared off and a boring car. Park a Ferrari beside it and you wouldn't even notice it ! As for this kind of model building, I think installement model builds are rediculous. How many months does this nonsense go on for and how much does it cost at the final end of it all? And also, the idea of a pre painted model that screws together has no challenge at all So it's not real model building and where do you put a 1/8 scale car? But that's my take!

The old.videos are dated now plus new builders can learn from advice I have had from building it once before
