Little known fact, the speedometers of the movie cars have been customised, normal delorean speedo's go up to 85mph, the movie cars go up to 95 because of the need to get to 88mph 8n movies

They were never good cars even when they were new. They are slow, underpowered, and full of design flaws (most can be fixed nowadays though.) It can’t even get over 85 in it’s stock form. Only reason most remember them as anything other than junk is because they look so cool.
Video had to be edited and reuploaded to remove any claim that this is anything other than a replica. The owner has been traveling around telling people it’s a real movie car, when in fact he bought it on eBay and it’s real history is well known.
I've got to sit in that. Maybe get it up to 88 mph. Couple of things I need to correct in the 70's or at least cover my butt better. Ha. That is so COOL
I dont know if Ray will see this but a guy on here called I Do Cars might have an F250 for sale, the one with the fiberglass work back on it, I forget the 3 letters of it sorry my memory isnt great. Just thought I would share just in case. It runs now but is in need of alot of repair underneath etc, the body work looks great except a couple dings. I love the delorean btw, I always wanted one, they're so cool n bring back great memories

It’s not a movie prop. The owner of the car bought it on eBay knowing it was a replica and has been traveling around telling people it’s a real move car. He is well known in the replica community for doing this. As I understand it, a cease and desist has been sent to the cars owner and lawyers for several people (including Universal) are now involved.
I wonder how many people realize that you had to be in the car when it was put in the trailer in order to back it out because of the way the doors oppen
Alex at Legit Street Cars recently bought a DeLorean. It does not have the time machine option. The straps hanging from the doors are original DeLorean parts. They were added due to people not being able to reach the doors easily to close.
I sat in one at a GM dealership in Dallas in the summer of 82 and I think that one didn't have the straps. I'm 6'4"/193cm and I could barely close the door while seated.
