    I forgot to mention that there's also a USB C connection on the bottom to power it that way instead of batteries if you wish.

    Youre right... the inner side of the wheels do not light up... if you watch part 2 when Oc lowered the hover Delorean behind Biffs old car before the tunnel. Youll see it didnt light up.
    I really like how the wheels are puled oit before it flops down because many models or replicas kept the wheels where its at and then it just flops down but the wheels seems popped into the cwr and not popping out like the movie
    Theres a 1:24 scale plastic model kit that has the hover wheels and inthink thats the best version of how the wheels flop down with its nechanism it pops out before it flips down

      I agree, it's good that the wheels pull outward to give them the proper look. I display it in hover mode all the time.

    Wow! Truly amazing model. Thank you for sharing. I was wondering if it had usb power but saw your comment. Dodgy how it was not posted in an unmarked box, hopefully others receive theirs if that doesn't change.
    Just watched 1:6 Ecto-1 on Adam Savages Tested. Packaged in a very similar way with the Velcro straps & foam box, think it was from Blitzway from memory.
    Really appreciate your time in doing these reviews, as I know I will never see these kinds of models in person.

    It isn’t weird, but a bit hilarious that it is harder to find the model original version of delorean nowadays. I have a diecast collection which forms from 1:18 scaled cars, i was trying to find a delorean, and when i specifically ordered an original one, the website sent me a back to the future part one version. Normally, i would send it back, but i saw it as another piece to add to the collection, since i also like the franchise. Anyways, i at least have an original version model too now. But it was quite a challenge to find it.

    Your back wires need to be crissed crossed. It's in the directions. Left wires attach on right side and right connects to the left. Looks neat too! Hope that helped. I also appreciate your realistic expectations regarding this model. Tired of the 'Ones" that complain about how it's not 'Exactly Movie Accurate" White Letters on tires, Lights on backs of tires and such. (in the alley scene the exhaust doesn't even extend over the back lights and some scenes the tires have no lettering!) Or the ones 'Spending my money for me." Meaning "If I were to spend all that money on a toy it should have this or that." Glad you addresed the whinners. Great video.

      @outsider238  Рік тому +1

      Wow! Thank you for the great comment! I didn't notice that I put the wires on the back on wrong. I just now tried to switch them and it turns out the thick black tube is a little too short to reach the back holes! So I ended up putting them back the way I had them. Yeah I figured I'd go ahead and address the comments that I knew I'd see from individuals that would complain that it should actually fly and nitpick at everything. I think it's a beautiful model and I'm grateful to be able to have one.

      @@jespernicolaj Yeah, I'm sure that's probably what it is. I just made a video discussing why I think they broke. @@outsider238 Thanks for the head up. I think we, as a community, should be mindful not to turn one feather into a hen. Danoby2 manhandled his Delorean. Was it from making it roll, I wonder? I was getting nervous watching you rotate those wheels! An increasing number of people seem to have a problem with those breaking, no matter how gentle they try to be with them. Really hope I won't have that problem with mine...

    • @outsider238
      @outsider238  Рік тому +2

      That's what I'm hearing. That's unfortunate for sure. Yeah I was being very careful because since I had already placed it on the stand, it made it more difficult to pull them out and I didn't want to knock the model off the stand but I didn't want to take it off the stand either since it was so difficult for me to get it on there in the first place. I think the key is to pull the wheels straight out without rocking them back and forth as I think that stresses the connection point and breaks them. They're not the easiest things to pull out.

    Excellent review! Thanks for the effort! 🤩👌 Still waiting for mine to arrive in The Netherlands.
    Could you perhaps test / check two things for me?
    First: When powered by DC/USB, does the last chosen light setting stay retained when you power the DeLorean off and on again by disconnecting the cable (or powerbank). I’m asking this because I would like to power it via a smart plug.
    Second: How high does the complete setup (on the stand) measure, when both doors are open? I would like to make a rough estimate for the display case I want to have made.
    Tip: be extremely careful when flipping / handling the wheels. The mechanism seems a bit delicate, as another UA-camr (Danoby2) snapped two of them… 😱

    • @outsider238
      @outsider238  Рік тому +1

      Thank you very much! The light setting doesn't get retained once power is turned off or disconnected. When you plug it back in, the lights stay off until you press the power button again. The height is about 22 inches or 55.88 centimeters tall with the doors open and around 19 inches or 48.26 centimeters wide when they're open. Thank you for letting me know about the wheels! I plan on leaving them in hover mode so I'll probably never flip them back down.

      @@outsider238 Thank you very much for the info! Very much appreciated. 😃👍
      Bit of a bummer though, that the switch doesn’t remember / hold its last setting. Since I want to display it under an acrylic dust cover, it would have made controlling the lights alot easier if I could power it remotely. Now I may have to implement some sort of lid on top of the case. 🤔 I’ll look back into it as soon as mine arrives.

    I want to know how you made the round cover inside Mr. Fusion

    • @outsider238
      @outsider238  Рік тому +1

      I used black construction paper. I placed the Mr. Fusion on the paper and opened it. Then I drew around the inside circumference with a pen. Then I cut along the line but slightly larger so it would fit inside that little edge on the bottom of Mr. Fusion and trimmed where needed. I used a silver paint pen and a stencil to draw the circles making sure they'll be in the center of the inside of Mr. Fusion and then just added the lines and dots in between. I used very small drops of Elmer's glue to glue it to the bottom of Mr. Fusion. Because the paper sits in that little ridge on the bottom, it doesn't affect the fit of Mr. Fusion to the car. 😁

      I'm hearing more and more issues with this piece. The broken hover axles, lights not working, the seats not glued in properly and scuffs on the paint job. Sounds like Hot Toys rushed these out the door and didn't do quality control checks. It's really unfortunate. As popular as this vehicle is, this is not the one piece that Hot Toys should be getting sloppy with.

    I’m really scared about installing the front flux band and the wheels. To me it seems that the back to the future 2 delorean has poor workmanship/build quality. I’m very Surprised that someone was able to break the wheels.

    • @outsider238
      @outsider238  Рік тому +1

      You'll be fine with the front flux band. Start with the two clips in the middle first. Those seem to be the hardest to snap into place. Just take your time. I made a video discussing the wheels and how to hopefully not break them when pulling them out. I think a lot of people are rocking them back and forth while pulling on them and that's what's causing the breakage as it stresses the inside hinge. Plus they are being too rough with it.

    • @I_O246
      @I_O246 Рік тому +1

      @@outsider238 I have another theory that the materials used to make the hinges are weak, also poor quality of material. Very brittle plastic. Hopefully in the future someone makes improved 3D printed hinges like the ones used for the mark 1 conversion. For $900 that’s not a good look to have poor build quality. Anyways I’m still looking forward to receiving mine.
