Is not a tin whistle in G but is it D / Ils ne jouent pas avec une flûte en Sol mais en Ré, sur une gamme en Sol majeur qu'ils démarrent à la quarte de Ré soit en Sol.
No. Bagpipes require a special grip, have a thumb hole, and use more fingers. There are similarities but not enough that learning one means you can play the other.
Recorder is also different but not too much of a stretch from whistle. Bagpipes have different fingering, drones and are a much bigger commitment. Having said that, most uillean pipers start with whistle to play and learn the tunes and ornamentation.
I tried one of your lessons and I liked it but I was disappointed that you did not go into detail about the ornamentation. At least for me, learning the unadorned melody of a tune is not as much of a sticking point as learning various way to ornament it well. I think your lessons would have more value if you spent some time teaching intermediate to advanced ornamentation.
dear God preserve us ...this is eye rolling shite...where is the passion..the love of dance..I an old old Aintin and I have to say take me ... take me now...I have not heard such a dispassionate and soul sucking rendition of Celtic music............EVER!!!
Kelley Dundas Williams, It just shows what you know. There's no such thing as Celtic music. Irish music has similarities to Scottish music, but Welsh, Cornish, Breton, Manx and Galician are all completely different. The lads started off slowly to help learners to pick up the tune. God save us from your ignorance.
